Welcome to Greek Chat! Feel welcome to post when/where ever you like, as much as you like.

I tried to check out your site but it tells me there is an error...could you send me another on by PM?

AXWhoah 06-26-2002 08:53 PM

The problem is that she included the comma in the link. So just type it out, minus the comma and it will take you there.

butterfly2001nc 06-27-2002 12:55 PM

Thanks! I definitely feel welcome here. You all are great! I'm already getting great ideas.

Oh, yeah. The websie is www.thetanuxi.org

Congrats on becoming part of GC! And good luck......you'll become an addict like the rest of us! :)
I have heard of your sorority before, specifically the chapter that just came to Pitt. Do you know how they are fairing?

Kevin 11-01-2002 02:39 PM

Good luck!

butterfly2001nc 11-14-2002 10:54 AM

Thanks!

Thanks for all the well wishers! Theta Nu Xi is doing great! We had our National Convention in Sept in Park City, Utah. It was a great time for all those that attended. Our new board is doing amazing things right now!

Also, the Pitt colony is doing well right now. You'll be hearing great things about them soon.

IvySpice 11-14-2002 11:51 AM

Absolutely

I met a sister of yours in law school. If she is representative of your organization, you're very lucky indeed to know such an incredible group of women.

Welcome and please contribute! We need more voices from up-and-coming groups.

Ivy

I am a student at Pitt, there was a large buzz around Theta Nu Xi and the potential for them joining NPC but nothing happened with it. Right now Pitt does not have a Greek Advisor and the University is doing a review of the entire Greek System. They are telling the results of the Greek Review on Wed and not allowing for questions. They also told us they really do not have to tell us the results. I have def seen a bunch of girls with the letters around campus, but I have not seen them do much. Though I could just be out of the loop on that one, or this could be because Pitt's Administration seems hostile towards Greeks (though they say they are not, the Greek Community on a whole feels that way!)

Good Luck to you and your organization!

butterfly2001nc 02-27-2003 09:55 AM

Actually, the TNX colony at Pitt is new but as soon as things get settled i'm sure they'll be doing great things!!!! Keep watch out for them in the future. :)

hey there,

i'm one of the pitt TNX girls, just read your message though and wanted to say hey. ;) right now we are under SORC and just considered a campus organization. we're still working for our chapterhood status which we hope to have aquired by the end of fall semester. i don't belive we have any plans for joining NPC in the future, but are considering our options - like starting a multicultural greek coucil, or perhaps another council for alternative sororities/fraternities. the alpha line just crossed the beta line (that's me) this past spring 2003, so now there are 8 of us with tons of plans & events for this coming school year. we're definitly planning rush in fall & spring. there are so many things we have to do being a new organization at pitt, and it seems like they try and make it hard for us to make a little name for ourselves. but i'm glad to hear that there's a little buzz about us going around. like they say any news is good news. we're looking forward to meeting with the new greek admin...and if you see us on campus come by and say hello, we'd love to say hi and chat!!

for more info here is the URL of our new website which is still under construction, but by the fall it should be up and running w/ all of our news, updates, events, etc.

butterfly2001nc 07-02-2003 06:26 PM

No, we don't have any chapters in CA yet. Hopefully one day! The furthest west is Utah. Currently, there are 2 chapters there: Utah State and U of Utah.
