General Pet Peeves!
I know someone started a thread about email pet peeves but what about regular pet peeves.
here are some of mine: - People that cut me off! - People that drive SLOW! - Girls that say they are one of your best friends, then turn around and hook up with the guy you were seeing! - People with no goals. - People that go greek to party!!! :mad: I will add more if needed. :) Guess I just started this so people could vent. |
*When people drive too fast and tailgate me. I'm one of those *ahem* cautious drivers.
*When people choose to sit at a booth instead of a table. *When creepy guys hit on me. *Strangely, flame wars on the internet are beginning to annoy me, they used to amuse me. Why fight with complete strangers that you will probably never meet? *Tuition! :mad: |
People that bite their fingernails!!! Get a pair of fingernail clippers people! :mad:

People who turn my words around or add words that I never even said... especially in GC threads.
People who ask to see a storage unit when it's pouring out. I don't wana walk around in the rain jackass. People who take hour long showers when there is only one shower, even if it is one of my sisters! Guys who cheat... even tho I've been the other girl before. Girls who say they only like a guy as a friend, but talk to him every day on the phone like 10 times a day, hang on him in front of everyone, and makeout with him. Dude...he's so in love with u playa playa! Slow drivers on the expressway. Construction like woah. Stumbling drunk people who are just acting overly stupid. Puking drunks who don't clean up their own puke. It's your own fault so I don't feel bad for u. |
People who don't have a sense of history on GC, who don't search and find that certain topics have been done to death.

Lookin out my office window and see a very dark sky, rainy sky. Then lookin out the other window which is like 10 feet away, and it's bright and clear. What the hell is goin on? People who don't think about others' feelings before they post hate words. |

Little pet peeve: At UF about everyone who lives off campus takes the bus to and from school b/c parking on campus is so bad, and besides that I also took the Frat Row bus everyday to get to my sorority house, so I was on the bus all the time. I hate it when it's a full bus and guys don't give up their seats. I hate it even more when I'm sick or grouchy and they're pretending not to see the girls who are standing.

*Drugs and the people who use them. *Girls who get so wasted they literally can't stand up anymore and they go around telling everyone how much they love them and they're soooooo glad that we're friends.....blah! *Guys who are conceited, assholes, show offs, or just jackasses in general. *Guys who lead girls on. *Girls who drink and shack every night and then brag about it the next day, as though getting sloppy drunk and having sex with an extremely horny frat boy is some kind of hard task? Hmmph. *People who put other people down to make themselves feel better or to get attention. C'mon people, we should have left that crap back in the 8th grade, give me a break!! *When they do not show previews of a show, for example they didn't show previews from next week's Road Rules after tonight's episode. :mad: Ok, I guess that's about all....for now anyway! |

People who misuse the 's. An apostrophe + s is used to indicate possessive nature of things. For example:
"My dog's doghouse is in the yard" It is NOT correct to say "I love my dog's." Just use a plain s when you are pluralizing something. I especially hate it when I see stuff like XYZ (heart)'s their new pledges. The apostrophe is just unecessary and totally incorrect! This is 2nd grade grammar! Should be easy! K-Mart |
My only real pet peeve is when ppl call me and don't leave a msg. My cell doesn't give the # so i see that i got the call, but not by whom...not as vindictive as some of the pet peeves here.

People who do not use proper English. My mom was going to be an English teacher so she rubbed off on me a little bit.
Double negatives Incorrect spelling Wrong tense Incorrect use of words (they're, there, their, etc.) People that rely on spell check to catch all of their errors! |
People that need to get in the elevator the very second it opens, without letting you out.
On the same theme, people that are standing immediately in front of the elevator doors, so that when the doors open their face is right in front of yours. |
Okay, i have a new post about a pet peeve that happened today...
As all guys can attest; there's an unspoken rule regarding urinals. In most washrooms of 3, the outside urinals are only to be used. The middle one is the buffer-zone, mainly decoration. If I walk into a facility and the two outside ones are in use, i hit the stall or wait until one opens. Earlier today i proceed into the men's room and am immediately followed by some guy. I hit the closest urinal hugging the wall when this jackass goes for the middle urinal. Before i'm about to blast-away, this guy is staring at me, just inches from my face. I give him the "what the %&#$ are you doing look", tuck my junk back into my pants and walk away. |

people who answer and talk on their cell phones during a movie
people who take their kids out and about to the store or wherever when its past my bedtime(after midnight) people who yell at their children in public socks & sandals people who don't dress for the weather when someone tries to talk to you when you are on the phone computerized talking animals(like in the movie cats & dogs) many many many related to driving slow people in general double negatives improper grammar being second guessed/undermined/questioned about everything |

My biggest pet peeves are:
Guys who are intimidated by independent women and feel the need to put those women down in a shoddy attempt to build their own egos up. People who have no respect for the feelings of others. People who continuously make their organizations look bad by posting stupid, derogatory comments about others. |
