American Idol
American Idol:
Did you see the premiere of the show last night? I thought it was hilarious although the judges were very rude at moments. What are your comments on the show? Also, what did you think about some of the contestants? I'll come back for discussion after we get some posts. |
Loved it!
My roommate and I nearly died laughing.
I do not believe that the judges were rude. Instead, I think that the contestants were so used to mommy and daddy saying that they could sing, that they didn't know how to take it when the truth was told. It takes more than that to be an idol. I think they were a little too easy on people with a sob story- like the guy with the deaf parents and the girl with the dead father. It seemed like a good story got you to Hollywood. What was up with some of the songs? I know we all have songs that we like, but why sing a song that is wayyyyy out of your range. People need to come up off of "I will always Love you." Bad renditions, that's probably what has Whitney cracked out now. But, I would watch again. |
American Idol
Oh my God.. I alomost busted open when I saw the preview and he told that girl "that was horrible".. she said he could kiss her azz. She was soooo p'ed off.
But you know, sometimes in life, you have to take the bitter with the sweet, and I know that business has got to be hard, there is to much competition. |
Why didn't you ask
I died laughing the whole time also :D but what I wanna know is:
Why didn't someone tell these people they culdn't sing before they got on TV and made a fool of themselves  I know that there is someone out there who would have told them the truth. I know I would have. At one point I got really emotional, when the big girl from Chicago came on and she could really sing. Simon asked her if when she came to audition she thought she would make it and she said no b/c she knows she's a big girl. Tears were rolling down my face b/c I thought they were going to tell her no but I was so :) happy when they said yes to Hollywood. Otherwise some of those people were really in self denial especially those people who continued to argue with the judges. I will be watching it again tonight. |
Pure Comedy!
That show is PURE COMEDY!!! I don't think the judges were rude......just honest. The excuses to "why" people sound horrible are hilarious. "Oh....I slept under the air conditioner last night, that's why I sound like that today." And that fat white girl who missed American Idol in 2 states finally caught up with them and when she did, she sounded a whole HOT mess. Maybe, God was trying to tell her something?? She didnt listen!!! And then she had the nerve to be disappointed that she didn't mahe the cut...LOL It comes on again tonight...I can't wait to see who else embarrasses themselves. :D

Black man who did this "Silent Night, I said Silent Night" -- WTFhttp://www.plaudersmilies.de/rofl.gifhttp://www.plaudersmilies.de/rofl.gif 3. THE FUNNIEST THOUGH -- Fat chick who sang Lady Marmelade and after it was over, the convo between her and Simon. Simon: Have you been taking lessons? BAD SINGER: Yes Simon: From Who? BS: Some lady in Montana. Simon: Do you have a lawyer? BS: No Simon: Well get one and sue that teacher for not teaching you how to sing.  http://www.plaudersmilies.de/lach.gifhttp://www.plaudersmilies.de/lach.gif This is THE WEAKEST LINK meets Putting on the HITS (remember that old show). I really did think they were going to tell t hat heavy set Black young lady in Chicago to get to stepping. AMNESIA -- The He/She in Miami -- COMEDY And that chick who sang FALLIN' -- why was I sitting there like WHAT SONG IS SHE REALLY SINGING. I was   for a good little while on her number. The attitudes were off the hook. How are you going to suck and then JUMP BAD with the judges. |

Lesson to everyone: Do not run to hug judges. You might fall and bust ya azz. How about the folks who did not know the words to the songs? And the sista who had the paper in her hands?  Naw boo, sing Mary Had a Little Lamb before you try some song you don't know all the words to or BETTER YET practice before you come. :o |
Y'all are cracking me up! Is this show coming on everyday this week. Y'all have made me want to watch it.

He had the most dedicated to SIMON, CTFU. He was pretty good though. I was CTFU @ the boy who followed them to 3 cities and got rejected every single time. |

And that chick that tried to sing "Knockin Da Boots".. after they TOLD her she sucked, she was outside talking about, "I don't know if I made it or not.. let me go back and see." I was cracking up at her. I will definitely be watching it again. |
CTFU! CTFU!
Ya'll got me over here on the FLOOR right now...
I saw it as well, some of them chilluns was WRONG...but ya'll forgot about the transvestite from Miami! Had the cleft chin and everything! I was emotional too about the big girl, but I'm glad she made it. On old boy singing Christmas carols...WHY WHY WHY? And why did he not fix his hair up beforehand, looked like something was nesting in there :D Here's my fave quote from Simon: "I have a pen, not a magic wand" plus the other quote about the music teacher being sued. I felt bad for your girl running and hitting the "home run slide" into the table :D Score! :D Oh...the "Genie in A Bottle" Girl with the bad dye job...she thought she was jammin!!  I got too many of these, I'll post more later though! |

What about old girl who was singing and was "pantomining" to LEAN ON ME. I swear some folks were straight BOLD to come on there and get clowned like that. |
I thought the show was hilarious. But now that they have weeded out the comedy acts I wonder if it will still hold my interest. I guess I'll find out tonight.

I my goodness, I swear I'm in tears CTFU at ya'll. I keep replaying the show in my head and start laughing all over again.
I'm not sure what song this girl was singing but she thought she was doing a good job. When she finished Simon said something like, "That was extraordinary." Oh girl was like "Thank you!", cheesing a stuff. Then he was like "Extraordinarily bad!" The look on her face was priceless:confused:  :( Oh girl who sang Fallin', I'm not sure if it was Simon or the black dude but they told her that she didn't sing the song on key. Oh girl was like "I wasn't trying to sing the right notes." I was like WTF. What about the 17 year old guy with pony tail. I forgot what he sang but after they told him NO! he was humming the song. Give it a rest you can't sing buddy. I'll be watching tonight. I'm sure it wan't be as funny. I just want to see who really has what it takes. Frankly some of those people should have gotten the boot. |

I wonder will they re air last night's episode in the future because I SWEAR i need to tape that to see over and over again. |
I must admit I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time!
I couldn't believe when Paula told the heavy set girl that she needed to work on her overall appearence/look..........and I just got done watching her on Entertainment Tonight talking about her eating disorder. |
I just saw a snippet of TA-MIK-A ("Tomika") on Access Hollywood! All I can say is...WTF
They were RIGHT!!! She REALLY CAN'T SING (although isn't it IRONIC that Paula Abdul is a judge?) And how's she going to get indignant about them judging her....ITS AN AUDITION!!! And what about her HAIR? Could you CURL that mess before you go to an audition?!!! I'm sorry, but she's smacks of every loud-talking ghetto girl stereotype that makes me cringe!! I would at least have been able to stomach her if SHE COULD SING!!! |
ok, WHY DON'T THESE FOLKS KNOW THE WORDS TO THEIR AUDITION SONG!!!!!!!!!!!
AND THAT GOT THE NERVE TO GET MAD AT THE BRITISH GUY FOR CALLING THEM OUT!!! lmao!!! |
IMO
Tonight these singers, every last one of them, SUUUUUCK.
|
Quote:
And what about the really blonde chick who after her audtion was all I'm 22, I'm beautiful,I can sing, I'm going to be a star. So if you change your mind, here's my number? How come this chick looked a hot mess? How come if this wasn't a family board, I tell you what I really thought of miss blonde girl?:D |
Re: IMO

That girl Trinity looks familiar. But she did say that she feels that her lace is in church, so i can't knock that. Ok, but why is Jose going off on the judges??? WHy did he tell Randy (the brotha ) that he needs to go to the gym!! CTFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
YAY TAMYRA!!
But what was UP with chick who sang like this (different song): Mary had a little lamb, hum hum hum, and everywhere, uh la la la, THE LAMB WAS SURE TO GO.  That Biracial man with the straw set CAN SAAAAAAANG!!! :D |
Quote:
There was absolutely no excuse for these people not to know the words to the songs. My only exception to the rule would be the black young lady who forgot the words to Get Here if You Can. I believe she did get excited and overwhelmed with the experience and just went blank and forgot the words. I felt so bad at the end when she was crying in Paula Abdul's arms. Poor baby:( |
Ah, this show is hilarious
Whats up with all of the arguing after the fact....
All the arguing is futile. Because (with the exception of Ms. Adbul) they have made millions off of this same thing. So it really doesn't matter if Simon or the Black guy can sing or if they look the part-- cause they are making the real money by being the background, anyways. But really, what was up with ol' boy Randy's hair and jacket, he made it wayyyyyyyyyyyy to hard to concentrate. But the guy that sings like a lil' Donnell Jones (the one that was in the group of 4) has definite personality. |
man
Just when I was sad that the Osbornes weren't on, here comes American Idol! They need to reair the first one so I can record it!
When Tamika said they can kiss her black ass, I was on the floor! I would have gotten mad too if he said my name wrong and didn't care if he was saying it wrong. What about the dude pop locking and Simon told him he was the worse singer out there? He said he was the best, these people are in serious denial. When homeboy at the end was clowing everyone, I was laughing when he got on Paula, cause he was saying what we were thinking "You know you wouldn't have made it if you were in these tryouts". lol! Why is she judging anything? I can't wait for next week. QTE |
Death Threats
It was reported on Fox 5 News last night that one of the judges from American Idol has been receiving death threats.
Can you guess who? Of course, it's Simon and he said that after the auditions in New York some of the prospects came up to him and told him that they were going to come back for him and kick his azzzzzzzzz. He has now hired bodyguards but said that he will continue to tell people the truth in his usual manner. They gave her the boot. What I was dreading happened, the big girl from Chicago was the first to go. I was thinking the whole time but what about Kelly Price she came out big and made it. I think that some of these people who could really sing...like ol girl who her and Paula was crying together...will be picked up by some record companies out there. There is no doubt in my mind that some major record executives were watching this show. |
I watched last night, and I noticed how Paula Abdul was tearing up when they rejected the group of 15....she must have remembered the "hundreds" of rejections she faced. She seemed truly sympathetic towards them.
And she stuck up for the big girl when Simon told her she didn't look like an American idol....she remembers her weight issues too. |
HILARIOUS!!!
I was mad that I missed the 1st show, but I caught the second one. Simon likes to clown on people. I was ROTF when he told that one dude that didn't know the words to the song about himself and then dismissed him. Then when Simon and them kept dismissing people for like 4-5 groups straight. But what really had me laughing was when that big dude (can't remeber the name) told Randy that he needed to go to the gym with him and HE looked like a hot mess himself?? Won't miss the next show.....I want to see that biracial guy sing again, he was GREAT!!!

Don't Forget to Watch and Vote
Hey y'all --- It's almost time.
Here is the website where you have to vote for your winner. http://idolonfox.msn.com/home.htm# There is also a poll on FAVORITE American Idol Moment thus far. My favorite of the Choices was It's Tameeeeeeeeeka. :D |
American Idol
Well, I FINALLY was able to view the show. Out of all the singers tonight I only liked two: Tamyra (sp?) and Christopher. Those two were like music to my ears.
http://www.clicksmilie.de/sammlung/musik/musik013.gif Everyone else just sucked. What was up with Justinn's outfit and why did Kelli remind me of Shakira when she should have sounded like Whitney, even though Simon doesn't think so. |
TAMYRA GRAY deseves a record deal!!!!....that girl can SANG!! (that's right....SANG!!....LOL) I love Chris too. He reminds me of a mix of Maxwell/Brian McKnight. :D
|
I think Tamyra blew them out the water last night! That guy who was a friend of hers sang great too. The one dude that had the updated Milli Vanilli/Sexual Chocolate thing going on had me scratching my head until my scalp bled. He kept saying I was never seen in the first episodes and no wonder! Where did he think he was going with a that safety pin getup? I got a feeling that girl from Morton Illinois that sang Patsy Cline might get a spot but I don't like her. She reminds of of Jessie from "Saved by the Bell". And who told that other girl you could turn a Monkees song into a blues number? Leave jazzing up Daydream Believer to Neil Diamond. And A little "Shefafa on the side"? I hadn't heard that song since Sanford &Son. They should have found songs they were more comfortable doing.

ROFLMAO

Chris was pretty good. It is interesting how some of those folks we heard sing for the first time. Quote:
I chose Tamyra, Kelli and Chris as my winners but the lines were busy for forever so I gave up. |
Quote:
Girl #1 was on point with my song, and the last dude was good too. the people in between were just filler. |
My picks
The lines were busy last night but I choose Tamyra, Kelli and Chris.
I am over here CTFU @ the first vault performance -- A ma a a zing Graaa ce. What was Farmer John thinking? WHOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO TAMYRA did the dang on thang. ROFLMAO @ TAM ICK A Being a consultant. BOOOOOOOOOOO JIM should not have won. Rhodesia sang better than he did. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I really think Jim did get the sympathy vote because A. his parents are deaf and B. Simon's comments yesterday. |
First of all, I am so happy that Tamyra was picked. http://www.clicksmilie.de/sammlung/g...grinser003.gif
My happiness ended there. I could not believe that Chris did not get picked. I was sad. But then when Ryan and then Jim, of all people, won I got down right mad! http://www.clicksmilie.de/sammlung/f...fragend002.gif I was happy though to see Tamika. She was right about Rodesia, or whatever her name is. To me, she just did not do it and she looked like a broke down version of Tweet. I hope that Tamyra wins the entire thing, although I haven't seen any of the others yet. |
