Chapter Websites
I am not sure if this has been a post before, but I am the webmistress of my chapter website and I am curious what people's chapter sites look like. My chapter's is www.geocities.com/nauadpi I hope people will check it out, and I would love to see other chapters sites.
|
Cute Website! Congratulations.
If you go to the Alpha Delta Pi national site, their list of chapters indicates the ones that have websites. Many chapters do and they're all a little bit different. Good luck this semester! |
I go to the University of North Alabama...our chapters website is http://adpi.netfirms.com.. check it out....our president just updated it last month.

We don't have a website yet. Our historian was going to work on it this summer, but I haven't heard any word on it since we left for break. I'll post the url here as soon as we get one though!

Our chapter site
Hey sisters! :)
I'm from the Beta Sigma chapter at Mercer University (in GA)...just wanted to add our site on to this post. I'm our Website Chair, so I'm proud of our site! The girl that was WC before did an awesome job, so all I have to do is maintain and add on! I've had alot of fun working on the scrapbook. I also compiled a list of ADPi Chapter websites...it's pretty comprehensive...so check it out, lemme know if you find anything wrong, PLEASE! I spent many hours finding ADPi sites! Okay, enough of my chit chat :) Here's the link to our site! Lemme know what you think! Beta Sigma website |
Beautiful Work!
BetaSigBabe,
Congratulations on your website. it's gorgeous! It looks like you Beta Sigma women have a great time in ADPi! |
Hi sisters,
I'm from the Eta Mu chapter at California State University, Sacramento. I am new to the site and it's pretty cool. It's great to see sisters on here. Here is our chapter website, please feel free to look at it and please sign the guestbook. http://www.etamu.homestead.com/ Thanks. :) Pi love, Ally |

Terrific Site!
ADPi~Ally,
Congratulations on such a wonderful site! It looks great. I saw that your Recruitment starts soon, good luck! Definitely give us updates on how that goes for you guys. congrats again, violets |
Thanks sisters for visiting the website, one of my sisters does it, she is an awesome sister. The ones that have posted their websites here too are awesome.
Yeah the chapter is excited about doing formal recruitment. For most of us (including me), this will be our 1st time participating in formal recruitment. In two weeks we have spirit week then formal recruitment. It will be busy. We have the support of our advisors. the alumni association here and international office (TCC Mary Bosco will be there), so hopefully everything will go good. I'll keep you all updated on how things are going. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Good luck with your recruitment and have fun. Pi love, Ally |
The Mercer website has a really good list of chapter sites. It's more up-to-date than the list on the national site. I'm from the zeta lambda chapter at Texas A&M. Our website just got completely redone this summer.

For those chapters whose websites are not listed on the nationals site, all you have to do is email them and tell them where it is. They will add the site almost right away. I know the Epsilon Xi Chapter site was up within a week, if that.

Lindz928,
Wonderful site...violets to your chapter on their hardwork! |
asu's site
Gamma Rho (ASU) chapter site
That is the site I created this summer for our chapter. It is in desperate need of major updates, but the idea is there, and we will have a secure site for the girls to use eventually. Theta Chi has a great site with flash for the ASU chapter, and I want to get flash in ours eventually. Kati *asu* |
Hi, ladies!
The Eta Psi chapter at http://www.geocities.com/adpi-vu/ hosts an "All Chapters List" that links to sites for active and closed chapters, including the school's web site, the greek council's site or org listing page, and the chapter site (if any). I'm always looking for more sites, so please visit the page and then send your site links to me! I'm also the host of the ADPi webring. Right now there are only 3-4 sites that have the code added, but I'd love to have more! |
Kate,
Wonderful site, and it looks like an amazing chapter. Thanks for providing the link for us! violets |
My chapters website can be found at
http://studentorgs.swt.edu/adpi/index.htm we have worked really hard on it so let me know what you think. I am sure we would appreciate any advice! thanks! Pi love and Mine, Amanda P.S. if ya couldn't tell I also need help with my signature |

As for calendars, you may just want to list the events for fall and for spring, instead of having one page for each month of the year. I find it easier to just put everything on one page. Recruitment could be updated with your COB/Spring info; it still mentions upcoming fall recruitment! The layout is wonderful; you just need to get the list of members on there! For us, I just list name, offices, hometown, and major/minor. I don't link addresses or phone numbers, and just link the Pres. and Chapter Advisor on the index page. Other contact info is where it makes most sense-- recruitment people's phone extension or email address on the recruitment page; alumnae relations person on the alumnae page (btw-- it's alumnAE, not alumnI), and so on. Other than that, great job! |

If you want to use flash, go ahead, but use it for an opening page. Please don't use it for the whole site, since people on slow connections will leave before it finishes loading. Also, include a "skip" link at the bottom of any flash page, because once you've seen it, you probably don't want to watch it again and again just to get to the calendar page (especially if you're a sister in that particular chapter who visits the site often). I'm a big fan of small pages, because you can get to the info quickly! :) Be creative, but do keep in mind that some people can only visit the slower, less-flashy, less photo-heavy sites. |
GREAT WEBSITE AMANDA!!!

This website is adorable!!!!!!!! |
Thanks! I know -- didn't they do a great job? I'm an older alum and we didn't have a web site when I was in school-- I'm so impressed with their talents! They completely change the look of the site 1-2 a year to keep it looking good, and update regularly.

YEA, you will be the first GCer that I have met outside of GC. Of course I feel like we are cheating the system since we are from the same chapter and all.
OK, Also, It will be funny if you bring up Greek Chat, because with most of the advice I give at these workshops, I start with the words, "on greek chat they said . . . " And I always get the crazy looks. So, OK I will see you saturday. |
