Spring 2002 Quarterly Is Here!
 

I just got my quarterly in the mail today. I flipped through (wont give details until enoguh of you get yours)and its an awesome issue, especially whats about what happened with a lot of the chapters in 2001. Also great pic of my girls on page 14 on the first day of Fall Rush. Plus on the cover is a pic of an alum of my chapter. She was in the group that was asked by IHQ to turn alum in order for them to recolonize. I am just so happy that she remains happy and close to AGD. Furthermore that she wanted to share the story she did. Just shows what a close sisterhood we have and how dedicated some people are :)

I submitted something for the Summer (or was it Fall?) issue. I can't say what it's about because I don't know if they're going to use it, but I'm wondering how it turns out. :D

You're right.... we'll have to start looking for ours in about two weeks from now. Could be longer thanks to the holiday :rolleyes:

I think Tonya has been booted to the top of the Quarterly mailing list cause she got screwed over in past issues! heh :D

OH well, I'll guess I'll get it by Friday (I hope) lol.

I had to call IHQ to get them to resend my last Quarterly! Hopefully that won't happen again. :)

Heh, IHQ must love me now. I have gotten this one and the last issue before anyone else :D

OK, I said I wouldnt but I am going to say something that they had in the Q. In 2003, if you already didnt know, IHQ is going to come out with a Directory listing all alumnae and collegians. I have a feeling I'm going to be broke from buying the Directory, the Centennial Cookbook and the Coffee Table book. ;)

I bought the last Directory and it was well worth the money!

How much is the directory going to cost?

No idea. I think I spent about $30 for the hardcover edition. They also had published a softcover edition at a lower price. It's neat - it lists everyone by their name (both maiden and married) along with their spouse's name, kids' name, phone number, work address, and email (if applicable and if you provide it). How the Fraternity collects this info is by sending an info sheet to everyone to fill out and send back in since the info at IHQ is very limited to just the basics.

Also, there's a listing in the Directory by chapter and also by city. I was surprised to find two sisters living in my itty-bitty home town - next time I go home to visit I'm going to look them up!

I did not get my last Quarterly, so if I don't receive this one, I will be contacting IHQ and next time I will get mine even before Tonya! ;)

I got mine yesterday! What a great edition featuring those men who love Alpha Gam ALMOST as much as we do! :D

Yeah, my Quarterly FINALLY arrived! I was practically doing cartwheels! :)

This is a really dumb question, but we don't have a Quarterly or other magazine/newsletter just for alums do we?

I just heard that some of the other sororities have magazines/newsletters just for Alums with alumnae information from their internationals/nationals.

There's no such thing as a dumb question here on GreekChat!

As far as I know, we don't have an official magazine just for Alumnae. I usually get my Alumnae information from my local chapter and Junior Circle...usually from the Newsletter, through meetings, or via emails.

I got my Quarterly about four days ago.

Yay! I finally got mine yesterday! It was an interesting issue, too. Hopefully someday my husband will be an Alpha Gam Man, too. ;)

Okay, Maria got hers :) ... so that means I'll probably get mine this week!

Give it until the end of the week. If it doesn't arrive by Saturday, just call IHQ and ask them to resend you a copy. They are very helpful and a Quarterly will be on your doorstep in no time at all!

I'm back from Vegas.... and still no Quarterly :(

I was hoping it would be waiting for me! What a nice surprise that would've been. :p

BTW, had a great time in Vegas. Came home with more money than I left with! Yea! Also saw a car in the Caesar's parking lot with an Alpha Gamma Delta license frame, so I left her a little note to say hi! hehe Couldn't resist!

OMG Mai, when I saw that yours was the most recent post in this thread, I was so afraid that you had got yours already! My mail already came today and still no Quarterly...only the dreaded bills! :mad:

It's funny how you mentioned that you had left her a little note... because when I was at the Del Amo Mall in Torrance last year, I saw a car with 2 AGD stickers on the window...so naturally I left her a note too...and I ended up tripping her alarm at the same time. So I understand...sometimes, you just can't resist saying hi to a sister! :D

I hope you guys out in Hawaii get the Quarterly sometime this week! geez...I could understand having a week difference between mailings but this is toooo long.

I hate having to wait for things in the mail. I get antsy and think that it got lost in the mail. Today, I finally got the Burberry shoes (thongs, flipflops...whatever YOU want to call em) I ordered in April. They were backordered at N. Marcus and was on a long waiting list. :o

It's bad enough having to wait for something from a company but it's even worse waiting for something from an ebay or half.com exchange! I ordered a few textbooks from people at half.com and got them specifically priority mail and when they finally arrived I found that they sent them media mail! :mad:

I'm sorry you girls haven't gotten your Quarterly yet! I would pantomime it for you, lol, but I'm not very good at doing that sort of thing online and you'd probably rather wait for the real thing. ;)

Mai Ly, way to go on winning $$$ in Vegas! The only money I ever really won was about $25 on the slot machines (And I was really happy about it, too!) :D Glad you had some fun.

Well, it looks as though I just may officially be the last one to receive the Spring Quarterly ... mine FINALLY arrived in the mail yesterday!! Heck, it even made it to Hawaii before it made it here to Vancouver - how does that work?!? :) (you know I luv you Hawaiian sisters!)

oh well, better late than never! just thought that I would share!!
