Sorors the Iota Theta Chapter is asking for your prayers!

Sorors, The Iota Theta chapter Spr `01 (Louisiana State University) is asking that you pray for our line sister Christine Moore.

I never watch the news, and I don't know why I felt the urge to turn it on Saturday night, but our Soror's picture was shown as a missing person. No one has seen or heard from her since Thursday after she missed an appointment, and on Friday a missing report was filed.

On the news, it was stated that no one has had contact with her since Thursday and that her car was found Saturday morning abandoned on River Rd.

It has been rumored (I say rumored because we don't have official confirmation from the police as of yet) that broken glass and blood was found in the car.

It is not in Christine's nature to just up and leave without contacting anyone. We ask that you please help by praying for her.

Thank you!

dzrose93 05-28-2002 12:44 PM

I'm so sorry to learn of your Soror's disappearance. I pray that she will be returned to her family and friends quickly and safely.

Greek Love,
Carrie

I have Soror Christine in my prayers for a safe return. Soror 1913CrimsonQT you can PM anytime if you feel like you want to talk. I could NOT even think of ANYTHING happening to ANY of my LS because it hurts so bad to even entertain the thought so I know you maybe going through but remember GOD will NEVER put more on you than you can handle.

kizzie22 05-28-2002 02:04 PM

Ladies I hope you don't mind me posting...I saw the story on the news Saturday night also.:( My heart goes out to your soror's family and your chapter. You all are in my prayers. God bless you.

9dstpm 05-28-2002 02:33 PM

Soror,

I will keep you and your chapter in my prayers for your LS's safe return. May God bless you during this time.

carolyne 05-28-2002 02:37 PM

Soror, my heart goes out to you, your chapter, our missing soror and her family. I will keep all of you in my prayers.

CrimsonTide4 05-28-2002 06:00 PM

As You Go Through. . .

Soror, as you and your chapter sorors go through this time of confusion, uncertainty, and grief filled waiting, look to God the giver and sustainer of hope and peace. Your sorors on GC are praying for you, your chapter and your line sister's safe return.

Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

soros 1913crimsonqt...

please keep us posted on all developments. know that my thoughts and prayers are w/soror christine moore, her family and all others affected by this incident.

1913CrimsonQT 05-29-2002 07:43 AM

Thank you all!

There haven't been any updates. I watched every stations news, and it was the same thing plus her dad asking for whoever has her to return her which made me burst into tears. Police think she may have been jogging like Chandra Levy.

Yesterday, my linesisters and I spent all day going around town hanging up missing fliers that we received from the police department, and next Wednesday (June 5th) when school starts we are going to have a Candlelight Vigil. If she is found by then, we will turn the Candlelight Vigil into a celebration.

I just cannot believe this is happening. You all can't even imagine what this has done to our chapter. I'm asking that you all continue to pray for Christine, her family, and the chapter.

I will update you all as soon as I hear anything.

God bless!

My prayers are with you

It is sad to hear this kind of news, but all I can offer are my prayers and these words:

With God all things are possible. Matther 19:26

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leace you nor forsake you. Do no be afreaid; do not be discouraged. Deut. 31:8

I hope all will end well with the Moore family. Last night, the news hit New Orleans. Ms. Moore is a native of the crescent city.

What I found strange is that the boyfriend called Mr. Moore (father) and told him that she was missing. That didn't sit "well" with me. "Missing" and not knowing where someone is are 2 different things, especially, if it had only been a few hours.

Again, I hope this situation will end on a positive note and Ms. Moore will appear.

DSTilmatic_1913 05-29-2002 09:45 AM

My prayers go out to the family of the missing Soror as well as her chapter. I am praying for her safe return. May the Lord comfort and keep you in this time of need.

If you know of any Sorors in Louisiana, can you please forward this message to them:

Sorors, prayer will answer every question we want to know and it will give us solace and bring us closer together as a sisterhood. Iota Theta is now organizing a prayer vigil for Christine and her family for next Wednesday at 6 pm (June 5th) at the Louisiana State University Clocktower. Hopefully God will see how much she is loved, and return her safely home.

Thank you again Sorors for all of your supports and prayers!

SistaFriends,

I grew up hearing that one must never cease to pray. Yolanda Adams sings "pray until you get an answer, pray until your situation changes" - Christine will be in my prayers until we get an answer.

Always with LUV

I just wanted to let you know that the Sorors of Pi Lambda chapter in Westchester, NY are praying as well.

A Brother in Need

Hello

Christine is also a brother in Alpha Phi Omega Coed Service Fraternity. I just learned of this news today from the Alpha Epsilon chapter website at LSU. And I am very worried. However, I am also very hopeful. Our dear sister may be lost but we must pray her back home. My heart goes out to her, her family, her friends and her chapters. All things are possible through God. Know that wherever she is and whatever her condition, God is with her and he will take care of her. So keep the faith and stay positive.

Fraternally

Is "Unsolved Mysteries" still on the air? I know that the show in years past has met with a lot of success and has helped many families find missing persons.

The show was very helpful in solving the murder of one of my friends several years ago. I suggest contacting them if they are still in production.

I'm thinking about your sister and continue to pray for her daily.

Greek Love,

Yes, it still comes on in re-runs (and new shows) on the Lifetime Channel.

This is a very sad story but prayerfully (IN THE NAME OF JESUS) there will be a HAPPY ending! As someone said, God will never leave or forsake you, so therefore GOD is with all those, including CHRISTINE, who are affected by this (directly or indirectly). I speak peace into everyone's life and pray that GOD will direct someone to her location and her back to safety. IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

My prayers are with her sorority, family, friends, and associates.

Soror in my prayers

Sorors and friends, let us all pray in a collective consciousness for the safe return of our sister. I have not been on GC in several months, but I wanted to make sure that I sent out my heartfelt words of hope and expectations that our soror will return home safely and immediately! Thanks for the info, and keep us posted on updates. It is not on the news here in Chicago, so I will make sure to check back often for updates. Love you all!

Soror, in light of the Elizabeth Smart case, can you tell us if there are plans to take Soror Christine's case to a national level? (America's Most Wanted, national news, etc?) Outside of what I read on message boards, I've heard very little about this case.

1913CrimsonQT 06-15-2002 08:51 PM

We have been emailing and sending actual mail to all of the shows as well as trying to make phone calls, but nothing has come about it.
