I saw the piece. It was um, interesting, to say the least. I never have understood the mentality or forces that drive a groupie or a fanatic. For those who missed it, here are the upcoming air dates & times (eastern) for this week.

I saw this mess as well. I was sitting there with the :eek: look on my face because I couldn't believe what these women, and I use the term loosely, did to get next to hip hop stars. It's a darn shame that these 'women' have nothing better to do with their time and money.

What was amazing to me was how they would do anything to get next to some C or D list star. The one girl was so excited to have met and hung out with Kenan from Kenan and Kel. I wouldn't even have known who he was if I had been at the club. And, was it just me or did Too Short look like he really didn't want Snaggle Puss licking on his head like that.

Oh, it was just awful. But, I did notice that the security guards take advantage of the fact that these women will do anything to get in VIP.

Speaking from a point of personal knowledge, I don't know why sisters are hawkin, lawyers, doctors, and dentists? They should know the majority of them have EXTREMELY high debt ratios and they ain't rolling in the dough until LATER in their careers. Those student loans are NO JOKE!!

It ain't like the majority of lawyers I know are BALLERS!! Everyone is struggling!

I watched the show with my sister and I am glad to see that we were not alone in our feelings about "Kizzy" and her teeth. What is really going on with our sisters out here??:confused:

There is another kind of groupie -- fraternity/sorority groupie. The people who want to roll with a fraternity or sorority member just because. The people who go to all the conventions just to get with an XYZ.

And yall, I have heard some TRIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPED out stories about these groupies. All I have to say is, why? Now, at last year's RC, these two dudes were just standing around, lookin' STR8 scruffy. We were like, look at us... what would we want with you? Tryinta act like they were up there on business. But we were ALL in business attire, and these fools were in t-shirts and shorts tryinta sell some mess or something. I wish I could remember what the one dude's t-shirt said. It was a play on Abercrombie & Fitch. I'm mad I can't remember, cuz that's why we were all like, what soror is gonna talk to them??????

At NARC in 2000 it was in Times Square. The hotel was SURROUNDED I tell you. I went out to get some food at Mcdonald's and this scraggly dude damn near jumped in fromt of me and my ls yelling :I'm Omega Psi Phi! I'm Omega Psi Phi!" It was just too suspect. Me and my ls were like "well good for you!" and kept goin! I mean damn, did he want a cookie!

But I always see the fraternity groupies around and find them HI-larious. I guess they never heard about that ho/housewife thing. The sad thing is when you see a member of a sorority like that. I mean I will give Black Greeks love, but past a hug and some conversation you are really NOT going to get anything from me because you are male and have letters!
