I encourage each and everyone of you to watch 106 and Park on Friday b/c the Rhos will be stepping against the Zetas. Afterwards please go and vote for them to appear on the finals. Hopefully we'll have some audience support. By any chance, does anyone know where the step team is from?

A step team called Poodle Prints out of NYC.

I have been watching this show for three days and it seems like they wait a little longer on each show to air the step-off. I don't get out much so I was really looking forward to seeing this. Well I will continue to wait another half hour.

Poodle Prints they were excellent at this past weekends 60th Northeast Regional conference. If they step like they did on Friday
Night you will really enjoy their show! And that's all I'm gonna say!

I know that soRHOrs will hold it down.

But, I hate this voting idea:mad:

They should have judges instead of having individuals vote online.
I hope they rethink this when and if they do it again.

That's just my .22 cents.

I agree. They should have regular judges to determine the winners.

But I am quite upset because my computer will not open the BET page for me to vote. :mad:
Hopefully it will be working by the time the soRHOrs step. (Can't wait!!)

So how was the competition so far? I only got to see Tuesday's show with the Alpha's and the Kappa's.

Well, I got to see the AKAs and Deltas

I have to admit I was impressed that the AKAs stepped in dresses and heels. But, i think the Deltas were better.

I think that soRHOrs can take it.

i just know we need every soror that can to vote. I will be trying to vote as many times as I can ;)

But the fact is the show is interactive. The truth we all know is 1 minute is not enough time to showcase the real moves of a team.

I must say that the step off competition has been very enlightening and I'm impressed that so far all of the greeks have represented their organizations very well. Having to vote on-line really doesn't bother me one bit! Hey this is the new era we all live in and if you don't get on the technology bandwagon you just might get left behind! Sorhors we don't want you to be left behind? Sorhors just point and click!

It's one thing to get on the techonology bandwagon. It's another to judge a contest FAIRLY. Say Team A is off the chain and Team B looks like they didn't quite have time to practice. Team B's sorors could easily vote... over and over and over again. Granted you would have to use a different computer each time, but some people out there will probably take the time to do it. Now, don't get me wrong. Of COURSE I voted for my sorors and encouraged the rest of my chapter to do the same. I'm sure every other org. has done the same thing - nothing wrong with representing! But will the winner be who stepped the best or who got the most votes? If the two align, I will withdraw my complaint, but in the meantime, I think having actual judges is infinitely more fair.

Unless you plan to sit @ different computers, you can only vote once. I voted last night on my home terminal and went back to see if you could vote more than once, but it showed that I had voted already. I could go to all the 200 terminals @ my school but I just believe that if it is meant for Delta to win this STEP OFF then they will. I have seen my sorors win countless times over for far more superior stepping than what has been done this week but they were give 10 minutes or more in comparison to the BET 60 second contest.

ok i have been watching each segment this week and today has been the best (in my opinion)

the sigmas and the omegas stepped really hard.

but i am really excited to see the sorors step tomorrow.

has anyone ever seen the Poodle Print Team that is stepping?

Hello Sorors,

Yesterday I had a chance to see the Ques and the Sigmas step, and I thought they both did really well! :) I think it is kind of hard to really show case what you can do in a min., but at least it is positive exposure for us all. So I will be glued to BET Tonight.
My sister is a Zeta, so we have been going back and forth about who is going to out do who!!:)

Hey, Tenacious!!! Long time no talk to! (All my fault, but I luh ya!)

The step off is cool so far, and I will admit that I was impressed by the Omegas and Sigmas. They compressed a lot into one minute, and guy was working those staffs. (Yeah, I'm a little biased since I love using my cane. ;) ) I thought the AKAs and Deltas were cool, too, but my boyfriend helped me see that the AKAs may have been a little tighter because how often do you see women represent in (cute) dresses and high-heeled sandals? That was a little more unique in my book.

I really appreciated how the reps are making sure to give a lot of information on their orgs. Could you tell that the AKA and Delta reps rehearsed their speeches? It was worth the time and effort.

Well, that also might be easier if BET.com site wasn't so rinky dink as well. I have been told all week that a number of people have had a hard time voting, that is has locked up (the site not their computer) and that is really ashame.

Kimmie1913, you ain't lyin! (Sorry, my Southern dialect has to come out.) I'm trying to vote now, and the crap is locked up. I've been against BET for about a year now, and they keep giving me reasons to dislike them and encourage people to boycott.

your organization stepped well on bet. i tried to vote for the poodle prints, but bet.com wouldn't let me. actually, i tried a few times today and wasn't able to do it at any point. how many of you have been able to vote?

Without a doubt sorors....we did wonderful on BET!! :) My sister and I (the Zeta) watched it together and needless to say...she was not happy.
I am soooooo proud of the sorors, the steps they used were great...especially with the little time they had. I hope and pray we all can vote so that they can represent again.

I just went to vote for us, and it kept saying something about I have to answer all questions first??????? So I went to the message board to see what was up (A BIG MISTAKE). There are some really ignorant people making crazy comments :confused:
I hope BET gets it together in time, but then again I am talking about BET.

dear god, I didn't have time to sit and fish through all that foolishness on the BET website. It was unbelieveable how much STUPIDITY is in there...there are maybe 20 decent replies in the WHOLE message board.

BET is throwing the NPHC a scrap so they wont boycott.

WHAT STEPSHOW lasts 60 SECONDS per team? thats barely enough time for an introduction.

you can't judge ANYTHIGN about an organization from the time they gave them to introduce and step.

I think the NPHC should BOYCOTT BET ANY damn way...this is an atrocity.:mad:

so far i have not been able to vote for my sorors (didn't they look cute)

i don't know if it was meant to, but their outfits reminded me of a retro party. they were original and sparkly(i like sparkly things)

but i hope to see them in the finals next week.

soRHOrs, if you like I have the number to the associate producer from BET. Several of the soRHOrs in the Southeastern region have been flooding her voicemail, however there has not be a return call as of yet. soRHOrs are not telling her that they are members of Sigma Gamma Rho, sorority, INC. They are just expressing their difficulty in voting. If anyone wants it, I will be sure to post it later

Like everyone else I tried to vote several different times and I kept getting a message about answering some questions! Why do black folks aways have to do things the hard way!
