I'll Admit it 4: I watch The Osbournes

These people are (bleeping), (bleeping) mad.

I cannot imagine saying what those kids say IN FRONT of their parents and live to tell about it.

Am I the only one (on THIS side of the tracks) who watches the show?

militarymom 04-22-2002 03:03 PM

I have watched it. That show is something else! Remember the episode with the dog? Crazy:D

That is my one and only reality show! It cracks me up. They should make elementary/junior/senior high school kids (minus the curse words) watch it because Ozzy is a prime example as to what drugs can do to a person later on in life.

Beauty08 04-22-2002 04:44 PM

Yes, I watch the Osbornes and I love it!! They are so crazy!!
Can someone please tell me what the HELL happened to Ozzy? Why does he act the way that he does??

AKA2D '91 04-22-2002 04:48 PM

Remember that anti-drug commercial....

"This is your brain (egg)...
This is your brain on drugs...the frying pan on the stove and the guy cracks the egg into the pan and the egg SIZZLES...

...any questions?

Seems like Ozzy is "shaking" too. Check out his hands. The man is in his mid-50's.

fuji 04-22-2002 05:08 PM

The Osbournes are TOOOO FUNNY! :D The mom has ALL the power! "Ozzy, sit down. We're having a meeting!" " Ozzy, I am not going to bring another pet in the house!" yet here comes another cat in the house. Even though they are so dysfunctional, I can feel the love!http://www.plauder-smilies.de/laugh1.gif

My favorite scene is:
"Ozzy, you are going to perform in Alberque."
"No, Sharon I am not going to Alberque."
Next scene:
Ozzy is on stage saying, "Hello, Alberque!!"

Have a blessed day!

techie_girl_44 04-22-2002 05:47 PM

This show cracks me up! Ozzy is just too funny. I am glad I'm not the only one who watches this.

I do admit that I watch the Osbournes. My fav is when they were fighting with the neighbors and Ozzy threw that hunk of wood and broke the window. The look on his face was priceless...

Guuuuurl! That is my favorite episode too! :D Those people CRACK ME UP to the fullest! And old azz Ozzie cursing b/c he's getting senile and can't figure out how to work the remote--that's priceless!

My fav line: "I don't want any Bubbles (Sharon wanted them on the stage for his concert)! I'm the King of F*&%#$g darkness!"

This show is a classic...

ClassyLady 04-22-2002 07:56 PM

I have tried to watch the Osbournes on several occasions. But, honestly, I can't understand what Ozzy is saying 95% of the time that he is talking.

I watched the episode last week and it was pretty funny. How did the mom drop her Valentino Mink Stole in the toilet? If I had a valentino ANYTHING it wouldn't be anywhere near the toilet. And, how come the whole family will get mad and just stop speaking to each other? Did anybody see that episode of Cribs where Ozzy was mad and wouldn't come out of his room for the taping. And by the end of the show, the son Jack was mad and wasn't speaking anymore either.

They have their own special set of problems

Mannnnnnnnn we discuss this dude in my neurological class all the time!! lmao! His brain is indeed FRIED.

I love the show though, and as Regulatah has said, I can't believe that these kids still have teeth:eek: . Mymamanem would have knocked mine clean OUT!:p:D

lovelyivy84 04-22-2002 09:49 PM

I love that show!

My favorite moment is when Ozzy was watching his Tonight Show appearance with the brother who was on security duty.

THe look on his face when Ozzy started singing was *bleeping* hilarious! Just a WTF moment that mirrored my own reaction to Ozzy's music.

DELTAQTE 04-23-2002 04:10 AM

Ozzy

Well Ozzy talks like that because he has a thick accent(isn't he from Britain?) because the group Oasis talk just like that also.

Ozzy has also admitted he has SEVERE A.D.D. and that is why he sometimes seems trippy. His kids have it also but not as bad as he does.

But yes, he is fried, but I love how much he loves Sharon.

He loves her, but this was my favorite part:

Sharon: Doesn't Ozzy look Handsome?
Ozzy looks at Sharon
Ozzy: Shut the F*** up!

Blackwatch 04-23-2002 09:36 AM

I'm Busted!!!

As Pro-Black (and sometimes anti-white :D ) as the Blackwatch is, ladies and gentlemen I'll have to admit, THE BLACKWATCH WATCHES the Osbournes  . I'll give you a moment to collect yourselves......

Alright, is everyone composed? Okay. Here's why the Blackwatch watches the Osbournes

1. Ozzy is the funniest thing on Television right now. What hooked me was the very first episode when Ozzy is talking to someone and he is trying to explain his new album. He gets caught on a word and yells
"Man!!! I just can't consentrate!!!!" That was soooo funny. Also, the scene with the brother who does security watching the Leno show with Ozzy should be locked in the vault and labelled TV's funniest moment of all time. They way that Ozzy looks at the brother when the brother is looking at the TV is classic comedy. Then the brother says, "Some people like it I guess" and continues to watch, that is classic.
2. I think also it is an interesting to watch to see how this family lives, in a Sociological sense (the grad student in me). The Pathology that we see in this "Nuclear" family can give us volumes of insight into family dynamics and class structures.... Who am I kidding, the show just cracks me up!!!!

The Blackwatch is gonna start OA-Osbournes Anonymous- for all the Black people who need to council one another on their Osbournes "Addiction":D
The Blackwatch!!!!!!

NUPE4LIFE 04-23-2002 09:37 AM

Man, the Osbournes are the most hilarious show I've ever seen on tv. They are on the one hand dysfunctional but on the other hand, they seem like a pretty tight and loving family. My favorite episode was the Albequrque one too. When she told Ozzy to use the bubbles on stage, man I almost lost it. Ozzy said "I"m the prince of bleeping darkness, I can't use bubbles!" That was classic. Or the one when they were throwing food over at the neighbors they hate. It's my favorite show of the season.

skeeliteful 04-23-2002 05:24 PM

I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE

OK...I thought it was just me...but I can't understand a word that comes out of Ozzy's mouth either (I can fill in the *beeps* pretty well, though). Kid's cursing, dogs and cats all over the place, rude neighbors...I love it :D But that's one dysfunctional family if I ever saw one

MS.REVLON 04-23-2002 06:50 PM

I AM OSBOURNE ADDICTED ALSO!!!

I just love this show. and people think us A/A families are dysfunctional. The love they have for each other has to be strong b/c in no other family can you just curse the f*** out of somebody then turn around and hug and kiss on each other.
At my job we talk about it the next day and translate what the H*LL Ozzy has said for each other. That should be the next show translate him and you win a prize .

vanda 04-23-2002 09:00 PM

I have been a fan of Ozzy for years (yeah, I know) so I am used to some of his antics but what I really relate to is how even though they blow up at each other, they do have each other's back when you get down to it. Their other daughter, Aimee opted not be in the series so she moved out. Sharon reminds me of a typical black mother in the way she fiercely protects her family.

gr8ful2AKA 04-24-2002 01:06 PM

The house!

Since I can't understand half of what The Osbournes are saying, I focus on the house...all the decorations, furniture, etc. I think its a beautiful house. Can't wait to see their digs in England. I heard they might shoot some episodes there over the summer.

I'd hope all mothers are fiercely protective no matter what their color. Having said that, I've gotta say (it's just jokes and I don' t mean NO harm) that for real: Sharon doesn't resemble ANY of the sistas in my family (Mama, BigMamas, and Aunties) - we're from Alabama. I'm 36 and if I came out of my mouth like that NOW, I'd be trying to find my teeth!!! :)

But I'll 'fess up and admit that I like the show too!

tru_queen 04-24-2002 06:22 PM

I think Ozzy shakes because he used to be addicted to heroin...

prettypoodle6 04-24-2002 07:53 PM

thats bout the BEST reality show out right now!

anyone see it last night when jack's friend came to stay with them for a while (cause his girlfriend kicked him out and then another friend kicked him out)?

he burnt the griddle, hid the figurine that melted on it, then had EVERYONE else in the house trying to scrape the black off while he was chillin!

yeah ozzy's lost most his marbles - this guest said everytime he sees ozzy, he asks him who he is.

ososuave 04-24-2002 10:16 PM

The show is Great!

Yeah, I watch it too, I can't help it... it's (bleeping) good.
But, Ozzy has an older daughter Amiee, that I've never seen on the show. Did they wright her out or something like she never existed or what?

But I really trip off of Jack, I think really deep down in his head he thinks he's the godfather or something. It's easy to see he's never movin out!

TempleAlum1993 05-01-2002 12:36 PM

Ok, I know I'm late with this

:D I finally saw this show last night...I'm still cracking up

I wish I had Sharon's money...when Ozzy asked her what was in the Gucci bags and she couldn't remember

AND.....the whole thing with the security guard:D

Cosby Calls Osbournes 'Sad Family'

Cosby Calls Osbournes 'Sad Family'
Thu Jun 20,11:26 AM ET
By The Associated Press

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Famous TV father Bill Cosby doesn't think much of the home life of his MTV counterpart, Ozzy Osbourne.

"The Osbournes," an inside look at the heavy-metal rocker's home life with his wife, Sharon, and two of their children has become a hit for MTV and the same kind of watercooler show that Cosby's "The Cosby Show" was in the 1980s.

Some observers, including former Vice President Dan Quayle ( news - web sites), have called the Osbournes dysfunctional but loving. Cosby thinks less of them.

"This is a sad, sad family. It is a sad case. The children are sad and the parents are sad. And this is not entertainment," the 64-year-old comedian told "Access Hollywood" in an interview airing Friday.

"It is the kind of entertainment that you look at but you wouldn't want it in your home. And I don't like to look at things like that," added Cosby, who played Dr. Cliff Huxtable on "The Cosby Show" for eight seasons.

Can someone tell Bill that not everyone grows up or lives in a "Huxtable Home". I mean, granted there is NO WAY I could talk to my parents like the Osborne kids do, but I can obviously tell that there is a lot of love between them all.

nikki1920 06-20-2002 01:57 PM

HoneyKiss74, I agree with you. Cosby needs to get over himself at times. I love the man, but he needs to let it go.

Yes, I too, am an Osbourne addict. Where and when are the meetings!! I got my boyfriend hooked on it too! I love the relationship between the kids and their parents. The obvious thing that rules that house is love. Yes, I could do without the cursing, but when the bleep hits the fan, they handle the business.

Remember when they sat Jack and Kelly down and said that there would be NO drugs in the house? Remember when Kelly got the tattoo, and begged Ozzy not to tell her mom? And he said he HAD to, and then he called her? ha ha I was cracking up!!

I forget who asked, but Aimee is not on the show because she is trying to pursue a singing career and wanted to make it on her own.

Amen to that. That family is as cooky as they come  :D

AKA2D '91 06-20-2002 03:56 PM

I got sad for ya!

Didn't Bill "step out" on Camille? Wasn't there an issue about him being the father of an "outside" daughter? NOW THAT'S SAD!

It will be reported in this week's People that Sharon (wife) has cancer. She had surgery last week or so to remove growths from her colon, which were cancerous. Part of the colon was removed and the cancer has spread.

She must now go through chemotherapy and radiation, which ALL will be documented during season 2 of The Osbournes.

Ozzy had growths removed from his colon a few days before Sharon, but his were not cancerous.

It was also reported that Ozzy insisted that Sharon get her colonoscopy done after he had his. Evidently, she had not had any "problems".

OMGoodness! What a brave women to go through this on national TV for everyone to see her at such a fragile and personal moment. :( I pray that her illness be cured.

FeeFee 07-19-2002 12:38 PM

I hope that Sharon fully recovers from this ordeal. I will definitely watch Season 2 to follow her progress. What a shame :( I don't wish this to happen to anyone.

AKA2D '91 11-06-2002 06:43 PM

From ET

Sharon regrets doing the show, she wanted to pull out, but the financial ramifications (that would follow) made her do the remaining shows.
Ozzie has started drinking again.
The kids have agents and business people.

Ozzie and Sharon are going an interview with Barbara Walters on 20/20. Ozzie breaks down (in tears) duing the interview.

NOWorNEVER 11-07-2002 12:04 AM

Ugh!

Hol' up, hol' up, ho'l up!!! I am sitting here watching the Barbara Walters 20/20 special and I cannot believe what I'm hearing. When I first started watching the Osbournes, I thought they were a cool family. Now I just think they're retarded.

Ozzy- A violent, alcoholic drug addict who bites the heads off doves and bats
Sharon- wife of Ozzy, who obviously had low self-esteem upon meeting Ozzy. She said herself no one had ever showed any romantic interest in her before him. Is that why she chose to stay with a man who attempted to MURDER her and who abused drugs and alcohol in the home with three small children??? What kind of mother allows all three of her children to drop out of school at 15 and 16 years old?
That's ridiculous! Even if she didn't finish high school, most decent parents want their children to be better off than they were (not always financially). So right now, there are three Osbourne children under the age of 19 who don't work, have the education of 10th graders, and who cannot form a regular sentence without using a four letter explitive! I mean, I thought Sharon was cool, but she's stupid. And the comment she made about she doesn't mind her children cursing her because she curses them...WTF? YOU are the parent! I mean, yes, they have lots of money. But what happens should Sharon lose her battle with cancer and Ozzy's depression gets the best of him? The money is going to last forever so the children will be well off right? Oh, my bad, that's right!....Kelly and Jack are relying on their musical abilities and talents:rolleyes:

DELTAQTE 11-07-2002 05:11 AM

Since I didn't see it tonight, what was the "big" thing that Sharon was going to reveal that her family didn't know?

QTE

nikki1920 11-07-2002 10:50 AM

NoworNever, tell us how you really feel! :)

1. You have to watch the Behind the Music on Ozzy to get the bat story. Ozzy suffers from low self esteem and is a drug and alcohol addict, so some of his behavior occurred while he was under the influence. On their wedding night, he blacked out and tried to choke Sharon. When he sobered up the next day, he didnt recall doing that to her.

2. Jack and Kelly are still in school, they are being tutored.

3. The cursing, hey, I cant argue with you there, but I admire the Osbornes for saying what they mean at all times. Yeah, its VERY unorthodox, even RUDE at times, but you cant say that they dont communicate (ok, Ozzy maybe..)

4. I admire Sharon for being so brutally honest about her life and fiercely protective of her family.

The the renewed MTV contract, which is supposed to be for 20 episdodes, will be cut to 10 episodes. But then after the special, Barbara said that she changed her mind and has made it 20 again.

Last night Sharon made no mention of tutoring, maybe I missed or didn't hear her say so. Her explanation for not having them in school was that her children aren't scientist, they can read and write, as if that's the only thing that mattered. Now I watch the show because it's comical to me, even though I don't understand what the hell Ozzy is mumbling half of the time. With all the ^&*% offs and ^&*@ yous that goes on around the house, why is the thought of the children being a dropout surprising to me? Even though their family is one of the strangest families I've seen ever, through all of the dysfunctional episodes, you still see the love they have for each other.

Doesn't he also have Attention Deficit Disorder as well? That's what I have been hearing. Can someone please clarify this for me?

Yes, he does. I'm sure a lot of his issues were amplified by the years of addiction.
