I recommended that they start having specific chat times so sisters will know when to gather and not be alone, lol!

Congrats to the IHQ staff for adding new info to the website! I hope this finally ends the debate on who's really an actual Accomplished Alpha Gam!

I especially liked the images created especially for our Centennial!

Did you all see the links under the Foundation for the Campaign for Alpha Gamma Delta? I thought that looked really nice, too.

BTW, just recieved a packet from IHQ about Centennial Plans. There is an official Centennial Song Competition, and requests for recipes from AGDs, as they will be publishing a Centennial Cookbook. If you want more information on either one, pm me!

I'm already trying to figure out which of my recipes to submit! Do you think our sisters would get freaked out by trying to work with fillo dough? :p

I would have to admit I looked her up as soon as the sister search went up-- I was also surprised that she wasn't living in PA anymore ;)

Here's My Question
 

Alot of Alpha Gam websites have had Carly Simon and Carole King listed as famous Alpha Gams, but neither one is listed on IHQ's list. So are they or aren't they?????

I've also heard that Peri Gilpin (Roz from Frasier) is an Alpha Gam. Does anyone know about that?

I have also heard that Carley Simon was (i probably misspelled her name...Sorry!) I cannot remember where i saw that. One of my sisters did a paper for one of her classes about her and I think she saw it published somewhere...dont know where:confused:

Well, not that it makes it true, but the Greek101 catalog and website have Carly Simon listed under their "Famous Greeks" section as an Alpha Gam.

Okay, I did something I've never done before..I checked out the Carly Simon webpage and sent her an email asking if she was a "squirrel" or not. I saw on a bio that she went to Sarah Lawrence College, but I don't think AGD has/had a chapter there.

As for Peri, she went to UT Austin. There are over 1100 initiated members so unless you know her initiated name, it would be a stretch... to find her. I did find a snail mail address but I probably won't mail her.

Actually before Amber's info went private I emailed that address on there and told her that her info was open to AGD members and that she may not have known it. All of that info, including the last name given were not correct. It was a prank someone pulled on this woman. She emailed me back and asked if there was anyway to get the info changed so I emailed IHQ and forwarded the emails from the woman listed on there. So... perhaps that is what happened.

Lynn, you are so scandalous! ( jk, ;) ) But, let us know if you ever hear anything back.

The rumors get started pretty quickly about famous Greeks... the official website would definitely list Carly Simon if she was in fact a member of AGD -- the list they put out is pretty thorough. I think it's safe to say she isn't (although wouldn't that be cool if she was?!).

I found that the email associated with Amber's account was her husband's. I looked up the profile on it and it matched the address. The last name is correct because she is now married. If it wasn't correct, I doubt IHQ would put that on their famous list...
