Far Western Regional Conference

Greetings Sorors!

Are any Sorors out there attending the Far Western Regional Conference in San Diego next month (May 1-5).

Soror Steeltrap's chapter will be our gracious hosts for the conference and I know she has been hard at work preparing.

I'll be arriving on May 1. Perhaps Sorors on GC can get together that evening for a little "something".

Soror Prayerfull,

Thanks for the shout: I will PM you with contact information.

And I have to give a shout to Soror AKA_Monet, a very dedicated and accomplished member of our FWRC host chapter. http://www.plauder-smilies.de/wave.gif

Hi, Soror-stranger.
I will check Alaska Airlines out. That's a good deal, and we have a chapter Soror who's a travel agent.;)

AKA_Monet 01-12-2004 01:05 AM

Be careful with Alaska Airlines... They are known to delay and cancel flights left and right...

I would check out Southwest AND United also...

Good thing I'll be trying to drive down...

When will you all be attending and why are you all getting your stuff so early??? PM or email me for the answer to that question or see me up in the Tea Room or with Spirit...

Steeltrap 03-04-2004 08:25 PM

TTT

I'm ticketed now. Will be arriving in Portland on Thursday, April 29.
:D

Steeltrap 04-12-2004 08:55 PM

TTT/again

The time's fast approaching. Soror Prayerfull, I'll catch up w/you on Thursday, the 29th. Any other FWR Sorors going to that particular gathering?
;)

abaici 04-12-2004 08:59 PM

I cannot wait!!

My chapter sorors and I have decided against attending that particular gathering. However, I know I will see you there.

GCers at FWRC

First of all, Sorors, let's give some pink tea roses to our very own Soror Prayerfull, who was the conference secretary. :D

And it was great to see Sorors AKA_Monet, Prayerfull, and abaici.

I saw her...how wonderful!

It was great seeing all of you! This was my first Regional Conference and I had a ball!

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!! I'm still laughing at some things that happened

I slept about 10 hours the entire time we were there. As soon as I got home I hit the sack.

LOL.
If I do, they're not on the digital, so GC won't get to see them.

LOL. Not quite. A little too old to drop it like it's hot...I have to lower it like it's lukewarm now. I woke up sore Saturday morning...that's what I get for thinking I could hang with the undergrads. lol

prayerfull 05-03-2004 06:59 PM

Sorors - I am not fully recovered just yet...but SO GLAD to be home. You know, I went outside twice during that whole trip - once to dinner on the first night and to TV gathering. Shame that I went to Portland and didn't get to see the town. I was looking through the window as the plane was taking off so, I guess that was my sight-seeing. LOL

It was great to see Sorors Steeltrap and AKA_Monet again, as well as meet Sorors Abaici and Skeelicous.

The job as Conference Sec. is not easy. I still have reports to retrieve from some committees and presenters. I'll be spending the next week or two getting that together.

Oh..and yes, I got my STROLL ON at the undergrad mixer. I was one of the first to arrive, with some other grad sorors. So we started some strolls and then the undergrads came in workin' their "chingy/drop it" strolls. I wasn't trying to drop it, 'cause ifn I did, Soror Steeltrap would have had to come out there and help me up. My feet were broke down by the time that was over.

Looking forward to Nashville.........

AKA_Monet 05-03-2004 07:45 PM

It was great to see Soror Prayerfull and Soror Steeltrap too!!!

But when I was driving home... I got a speeding ticket... :(

Oh well...

Hello Sorors,

This was my first regional conference, and I must say I enjoyed every bit of it. I learned so much and had so much fun. My sorors of Oregon did a wonderful job. I didn't get much sleep and it was well worth the loss. I can't wait for Vegas.

Vegas should be good. I'm looking forward to it.
And the Oregon Sorors handled business.
:)

abaici 05-04-2004 03:54 PM

Soror, I am on the midnight train to Vegas...I'm strolling to the station as we speak.

Well, FWRC is coming up very soon. Because of my own not reading fine print, :o I am not going to be up there until Aug. 10. Hopefully, I'll catch up with Sorors when I get there...Sorors AKA_Monet, Prayerfull, Choo-Choo, will you all be there? I know I'll find Soror Choo-Choo; her chapter is hosting.

I had planned on going, then my boss decided to be psychotic, and I had to cancel. :(

Also, it is a balance to the kinds of places I want to go: Hawaii in October and Hilton Head in November all paid trips vs. Sacramento that comes out of my pocket in 100 F weather?

I chose Hawaii and Hilton Head...

EssenceofElle55 08-06-2007 01:10 AM

Soror Steel I will be there again this year. I get there on Thursday. Hope I get to see you again.:D

EyesOnThePrize 08-06-2007 04:24 PM

When your chapter was called, I thought to myself, "That's Soror AKA_Monet's expertise and savvy coming through." :)

EXO did well; three awards. But I'm telling you, I'm exhausted. I did get to see Soror ChooChooAKA after four years, although Soror Prayerfull was busy and I didn't get to see her.

EyesOnThePrize 08-13-2007 11:41 AM

Awards

I didn't get to see any of the awards presented because we were out in the hall getting ready for the invitational. BUT congratulations sorors! All the service to mankind pays off in one way or another.

08shalom 08-13-2007 10:12 PM

:)
Congratulations Soror AKA Monet! Soror Steeltrap, I saw you taking your seat before Session III; however, I couldn't make my way over to you. I didn't see Soror Prayerfull at all ---but--- I did get a chance to meet our newest, Soror EyesOnThePrize (she's beautiful). I want to send her and her chapter a dozen tea roses, no, make that a parade of roses for their invitational E.S.P. style! They truly put in a lot of work and they did an outstanding job. The only reason we stopped was because the room needed to be cleared---others then that, we'd probably still be in there --- "now walk it out"! :D

You are way too kind!!!:D And beautiful as well (inside and out ---your words still resonate in my head). Seeing how hard we worked on the invitational imagine what we're going to do for you when you come to BEAUTIFUL PASADENA!!!! I know it's right before Boule but I hope to see all of my lovely sorors there!!!! We took lots of notes this weekend on what you liked and what some could do without...:o
