What are everyone's plans for the summer? I have an internship at a radio station in MD, I'm excited. And, I turn 21 in July!!!

That's cool that you have an internship this summer. Which radio station is it at? I am not sure what I am doing or what my sorority is doing this summer.

SUMMER BREAK!!
 

Oh I can't wait for summer break! I'm going to be working, but still gonna have some fun! First, I'm going to Vegas, for my cousin's 30th birthday, in May. Then, I'm going on the road trip, sometime in June. Then planning on going to Convention. And then I'm going with some sisters and friends to Hawaii in September, for our sister's 21st birthday!!! :cool: To top it all off, I'm moving in with two sisters, this summer too!!! :eek: It's gonna be a busy one, but fun! Alrighty, gotta get going! Bye!

Hey Ladies,

AAAH thank god summer is right around the corner, every class i go to it seems like they get longer as the weather gets warmer. So far my summer consists of going to OC and partying like its my b-day! Who knows, i might just work, ya know to be productive and all that. :p We will be holding a summer event for the incoming women to our school...i'm sooo excited! Hopefully we'll get a good turnout. :D

I am going to be a camp counselor in New York ! at least for two months.... for the month before I go do that I think I"ll be chillin' maybe doing some stuff with my chapter, maybe a road trip to LA or something like that. :D CAN"T WAIT

as for my plans, i will be taking a class until july 5th. teaching a swiiming camp til the frist week of july, and working part-time as a life-guard...and OF COURSE hanging out with my sisters...plus i am sure i will be making some road trips to visit my sisters from out of state! i cannot wait til may 22nd... :)

My internship is at WXCY in MD (I'm a country girl!) I might get to be on the air! I'm so excited! Those of us from eastern PA and MD will have to get together sometime! It'll be fun!

I'm planning on working a lot this summer because I am moving out with two of my sisters in June. (Gotta pay for those bills)
I am also going to convention. So, I hope to see some of you there.

Oh yeah, us Maryland girls know how to live it up when it comes to partying. We should try to get as many PA and MD siggies together at once and do something fun! This summer is all about fun for me! I am graduating in May, and I can't wait!! Congrats to all the other Phi Sigs out there that are graduating as well. I think that I am going to some hot, exotic island somewhere for my roommates wedding. But we'll see. :cool:

I not really sure what I will be doing for summer. I want to get this internship, work (because i want to get a new car), and just relax so that I can get ready for the fall. I just really glad that summer is coming. I hope that everyone have a great break.:)

HI Girls:

Congrats to the graduating seniors...

To my Maryland girls...we will def have to hang out more this summer. We should def get the Maryland and PA Phi Sigs together and maybe do some sort of sisterhood event like at an amusement park in the area. It could be alot of fun...let me know...if we plan early i think we could get a good turnout...We will "live it up" as Jadey says:D ...Meghan can't wait for the road trips to begin;) It will be a blast!

Although I will be teaching summer school...the real world kinda gets in the way of my fun sometimes.

Ok, this is an old thread, but I thought it was appropriate!

What are you doing Summer 2003?

Me? I'm looking for a job, hoping Sandy Grossman will call and tell me I'm going to be a Chapter Consultant! UGH! I wish she would call already!

Otherwise, I'll probably be working at summer camp, again.

I know I posted it last year...but us Maryland and PA Phi Siggies need to get together! I love meeting new people and there are so many of us on this board that we could have a great turnout if something was planned! Just an idea though. Anyone up for planning something???????

My plans include:

1. Having a Creative Memories Scrapbook party this weekend and learning how to scrapbook so I can get all my Phi Sig pictures into a nice scrapbook. That should take care of a lot of the summer.

2. Going to the Greekchat Gathering on July 12th. Hopefully some of our Northern California Sisters are going to be able to make it down so we can all hook up at the same time. Even better if other sisters across the nation could make it.

3. Going to LTS - if I ever get off my behind and send off my payment.

4. Catching up on all my pleasure reading (love romances and Science Fiction/Fantasy) that I've not been able to do while in school. Harry Potter is out in just over 2 weeks - I can't wait.

5. Along the sames lines watch all the movies that i have missed because I was in class or studying or doing something with the sorority.

6. Start planning my parents 50th wedding Anniversary Party which is next January - and getting a scrapbook completed for that.

7. Just plain old relaxing the whole summer.

Me I'll be working and going to summer school.
Well I guess I'll have some fun, I'm spending a weekend in San Diego in July. But thats about it.

Oh and of course spend time with my wonderful Phi Sig sister.

In July I'm going to drive with my parents up to visit my brother in Washington. On the way home we're going down the coastline and I get to go to the Redwoods (my favorite spot in the world). Hmmm, now that I'm thinking about it we're going to be driving through or near San Francisco I should see if I can meet up with some of the sisters up there. Also, depending on where PhiSigCoco lives in Oregon maybe we can try to meet up.

so far i've gone to one wedding and my gpa's 75th bday and that's it - no trips home til end of august...then just 2 wks before starting school again in Sept.!

Im just gonna be working and Im currently taking a summer class its killing me but I gotta do it!! But our chapter is having several socials with the frats at our campus!! Ohh yeah and I gotta be working out!! Ohh yeah and clean up my room just like Beth said!! I wanted to go to Convention but I am an alternate STAFF member I hope I can go!! Thats about it!!:rolleyes:

I just got back from visiting a sorority sister in Pittsburgh for the weekend-- we went to Kennywood! I'd never been there before, it was a great experience, but there are a lot of weirdos there! I ran into a Phi Sig from California U of PA-- she works there and was wearing her jacket so Jamie and I said hi to her. I wanted to meet up with other sisters in the area but no one called me back.

For the rest of the summer-- I'm traveling quite a bit for my job and I'm going to the OC MD for a week at the end of July. Other than that I'm not doing anything else fun!

This summer has been off to a good start.
-I'm traveling to California for work (nothing fancy, just Edwards Air Force Base). I'll be there for two weeks.
-One of my good friends is getting married in July. The wedding should be a lot of fun.
-A few cookouts here and there.
-Maybe a vacation to the Dominican Republic, if we can afford it.
-And, best of all, my boyfriend and I might be buying a house!!! We will find out tonight or tomorrow morning if we go the house we put a bid on. :) So exciting!

Oh Jadey, lemme know when you'll be out here... We can try to get some sisters together to take you out to lunch or to the beach!!!

Jadey, when are you coming to Edwards Air Force base. Like Beth said maybe we can get some sisters together to all meet. Plus you'll be close to CSU Bakersfield - epsilon epsilon chapter so maybe we can see if any of them can meet up with us.

I"m going to be driving up to Washington and back the last two weeks of July. So if any sisters want to meet up that are there. We're going to go to San Francisco then head out to the coast. Take the coast route up, then swing over to Portland and then head up to Washington. On the way home I'll be going by way of Sac state and stanislaus so if any sisters want to meet let me know

Man, I go up to Modesto at least once a month, if not twice...

I pass by CSUS all the time, but don't ever think about letting yall know... Heather, aren't you from up there???

I'm going back up at the end of July. It'd be cool to hang out for a few hours, go hit up starbucks or something.

you know, I wouldn't think of Modesto as a hot vacation spot! hee hee. But it is very cool that you coming to my hometown. When in july are you coming? I'll be at Convention if its the last week but either way I can tell my chapter sisters.

I'm trying to plan a waterslide trip in July when will you be here? and you too Carolyn? Maybe we can all go! (we have waterslides in nearby Manteca)

Anyway travel safe on your way up here.... 99 is such a boring freeway! and hopefully you can meet up with me and some other Theta Mu's.

I am coming up that last weekend... And my dad moved up there, so that's why I make the trip every month. hehe!

Nah, I'm going up that weekend, because my dad got tickets to go see some trackter pull??? I donno...

It's so funny, because I'm not country AT ALL!!! And everytime I go up there we end up doing something really country-like. :D

Anyways, yeah, the 99 is pretty boring, but a hell of a lot better than the 5! Oh good God! I took that once... Yeah, it took me about 8 1/2 hours to get there (when I normally get there in about 4 1/2-5 hours) yeah, not going to make that mistake again!!!

So yeah, I should be going up that Friday, the 30th and come back Sunday the 1st.

Lemme know if some of your sisters can meet up with me.

Sorry I haven't replied. I've been busy finalizing travel plans.

I'm flying into Vegas July 10th. I am staying in Vegas that night and I will be driving to Edwards July 11th. I'll be there until July 23rd, when I drive back to Vegas and fly home the 24th. (I know, why didn't I just fly somewhere closer? Well, I've never been to Vegas and I figured what better time~my company is paying for everything!) Anyway, during my trip, I will be staying in Lancaster, CA at the Best Western Antelope Valley Inn. I'm pretty sure I have my weekend off (July 17th and 18th), so we might be able to make plans! That would be so awesome to meet up with West Coast sisters!! That's what makes Phi Sigma Sigma so wonderful~from coast to coast we open our arms and welcome you to unfamiliar land! Now I'm excited! :)

Bump for Summer '05... fun plans, anyone???

I'm going to Denver next week! I've never been there and I'm super excited!

And my family's taking a road trip through the south this summer, hitting all the fun country places like Dollywood.

Nothing big planned for me...

Just trying to recover from breaking my big toe on Sunday.

And saving money for when I finally do go on vacation - when Will (my sorta, not really technically - boyfriend) gets his R&R (he's in Kuwait right now).

Oh, and going to LTS! YAY!
