anyone actives from Ohio state here or any potential new members? (aka rushees)

I'm not a student at OSU (nor was I ever), but I do live on campus near several greek houses. I'm curious to see the activity around here once rush starts!

I am a member of Delta Chi Fraternity (currently the 4th largest fraternity out of 25) at OSU. Is there anything in particular that you wanted to know?

I am interested in joining a sorority. I will be a sophomore so I do have some idea of the houses but not really.

what are you opinions of Theta and Tri-Delt?

How are the Sigma Kappas there?

we have not had sigma kappa's here since the 97-98 school year.

Tri-Delts, Alpha Phi's, A-Chi-O's and DeeGee's are the guys favorites here.

I go to OSU. I have read here but never post because I thought I had to register and I don't have an email address. but I guess I am okay on this board. I plan to rush. I am a sophomore and really want to pledge #1 tridelt (the girls rock, are pretty, funny, down-to-earth) or #2 kappa (in that order)

In response to your question, we have had alot of fun with the Tri-delts here. They are definitly fun, good-looking girls. As for Theta, they are good-looking but we really don't do much with them. We had a TG last year, but it was just ok.

OSUstudent- I have to add Kappa to that list, we are paired with them for homecoming!

Really? I have a good friend who was a Sigma Kappa there a few years ago. (OK, it was quite a few years ago now.) What happen to them?

TG stands for Theme Gathering. It's basically just a party with a theme (Heaven&Hell, Luau, 70's, etc.).

Jae I do believe you are forgetting Delta Chi's favorite sorority- you were paired with us for homecoming last year...

Everyone knows that!!! I thought that list was for the NEXT best sororities! You know I have nothing but love for lovely ladies of Chi Omega!

Hello everyone,

I didn't go to Ohio State, but grew up in Columbus in the 60's. Went to a different school down the highway.

I know our Delt Chapter (Beta Phi) there has had some very unfortunate problems in the past couple of years. I've stopped by the house there on Fifteenth when I've been home visiting, and they seem like some pretty good guys. Hope they, and you, are doing well.

By the way, where we live OSU equates to Oklahoma State -- or Oregon State. Culture shock.

I have a question: I read that Piper Perabo (star of Coyote Ugly) graduated from Ohio State. Of course you know what's coming...does anyone know if she was in a sorority?

You sparked my curiosity...so I tried to dig up some info on her (COYOTE UGLY is like, MY FAVORITE!) and many sites claim she went to Ohio University, not OSU. At OU there are 10 NPC sororities there: ADPi, AGD, AOPi, AXiD, XO, DG, DZ, Phi Mu, Pi Phi, and SK. I tried to visit some of their sites but a lot of them were outdated or didn't have alum info. If anyone's from there I'd like to know too!

Actually, Piper graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1998 from the Theatre Department at Ohio University -- not Ohio State. I don't know if she was Greek or not. There was a fairly long article about her in the last alumni magazine, but It didn't mention any sorority affiliation -- nor does anything I found in a search in the O.U. webpage.

What are the KDs like at Ohio State? I'm thinking about going to grad school there and helping my sisters out in my spare time...(spare time & grad school...am I just wishful thinking? Hmm...)

How are the Alpha Chi Omegas seen at OSU? I have a friend from HS that joined there!

One of my bros dropped out of Rose, and transferred to OSU. He's joining the Lambda Chi chapter there.

I liked the few kd's I talked to during rush, but you dont really here that much about them around campus. They have a very pretty house thou. Alpha Chi Omego's are nice too they have a very diverse group of girls.

DeltAlum is right!!! I got really excited when I saw this thread because I go to OSU-Oklahoma State University
