Your Fave Flower
Since it's springtime, I thought it would be cute to find out what everyone's favorite flower is...
Mine is the lily...especially the white ones! |
I LOVE sunflowers, but I live in a cave (literally it is pretty much underground) so I don't get to grown them. I also love Texas Bluebonnets which are blooming everywhere rt. now.
Just a note for those of you that have cats and may get Easter Lilly plants this weekend-they are toxic to cats-will cause death-just a friendly reminder:) |
I love tulips! I always loved them when spring rolled around and they grew in my mother's flowerbed in the front lawn. I knew not to ever pick them, but instead smell them fondly! They're my favs!
That and I love snapdragons. Those grew in abundance in my grandmother's flower garden and I would always pinch them so they looked like they were opening their mouths (something my grandmother taught me). Funny, but my two most favorite flowers are such because of fond memories! Hootie |
Love roses. A guy friend of my would always bring me roses when he came to see me. Once he brought me a vase of white ones. They were so pretty.
I'm also starting to like tulips. My apartment complex has some planted around the pool area and they are so pretty. The yellow and pink ones are my fave |
Stargazers- I had them at my wedding and they smell sooooo good!
Lilac- the only thing I will steal. I will literally pull my car off to the side of the road and pilfer them off someone's tree if I see them. Carnations- they last soooo long-weeks and weeks |
Impatients are like little roses and come in a huge variety of colors. Hubby and I have done our own landscaping-it's like living art. All year long we have something blooming.
Our newest additions this year are climbing roses and lavender. Everytime we plant something new, the whole darn neighbor- hood jumps on the bandwagon. So, we keep changing it and transplanting things to keep it unique. Before we moved in, no one had flowers in their front yard, now it's the norm. Samething happened when we planted Chinese fringe flower. :( |
No doubt about it...lillies....especially Easter lillies. I even made my junior and senior prom dates get me lillies instead of roses.
Gotta admit, though...red and buff roses look really cool. :D |
Oooh, aggieAXO, I miss bluebonnets! I love them! Hootie, you must go out and see the fields of them your first spring in Texas!
But carnations :D , especially wine ones, are special too and of the tropical flowers, plumeria would be my favorite! No one, not even B and BW, can reproduce the real fragrance of plumeria--it's kind of like a sweet Coppertone. |
Red and Buff roses, of course! :D
But aside from that, I also love lavender or peach colored roses, lilacs (although not quite as much as Sue), and forget-me-nots. |
I love lillies and orchids ! They are the most beautiful flowers! All I've evr gotten from guys are roses, and though I do like roses, they get old after a while.
|
I'm a fan of White Daisies :D ; but I think cream colored roses are a really close second! ;)
|
I love roses.....especially lavendar roses! They are my absolute favorite thing! I had lavendar and white roses for my wedding bouquet....omg they looked soooo amazing!
Yellow roses are a close second though (my sorority flower!:D) |
My favorite flowers are Amaryllis, Roses and Tulips. I especially love Amaryllis since they are hardy and I don't have a green thumb.
|
I love lots of types of flowers, but these were the ones that came off the top of my head:
Lilly of the Valley, Daffodils, Magnolias, Roses, Lilacs, Tulips... |
sterling roses(the lavender, thornless ones) calla lillies, lilacs, and of course, white carnations :)
|
lilies, orchids, and TULIPS!
|
TULIPS!!!
|
my fav...
okay, so i know the name isn't full of positive connotations, but my favorite flower is the pansy.
they just make me smile. |
I love Forget-me-nots. They are so cute, and they grow everywhere! And of course, violets!
|
I love Roses but not your typical roses, but your slightly odd roses the, roses that are all one color but the tips are different colors or the inside is a different color. I think they are so pretty.
Also anything blue is really my favorite as well , a long time ago,I got a blue rose and it was just breathtaking :D DGP~Honey~ |
Gardenias. We use to have them by the front door of our house. When they would bloom, I'd sit outside my house by the gardenias and do my homework just so I could smell them. :)
|
Red Roses and White Daisies in the same bouquet. Some may say that a rose is simple, but I see it as the other way around the contrast of the complicated red rose with the simplicity of the white daisy.
These are the flowers I had at my wedding. Of course I had white roses for me. |
Foxgloves and wisteria are two of my favorites. :)
|
Too many!!!
I LOVE flowers, so most of everyone else's flowers are on my lists too!!!
My three favorites are probably tulips, gerbera daisies and calla lilies. I also love to see around houses: wisteria, bougainvillea around houses. In vases, I really like: autumn-colored roses (rust, deep yellow, orange, coral, cream), irises (with bear grass) Finally, I love to smell: magnolia, gardenia, lavender, stargazer lily |
White Roses
Calla Lillies Hydranga...Sp? Tulips I like everything really... |
I love flowers!!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorites are: yellow confetti roses, red tulips, gerbera daisies, calla lilies, stargazer lilies, and snapdragons. I wish I had more of a green thumb. Allison |
Okay...I"m secure. ;) I like all types of roses. The York rose is okay for a white rose. I prefer really bright red ones, though. Or the deep ones. Also, the blue rose is rare, but awesome. Maybe could be bred with a red rose to make a purple one? Any way, I like the Red Carnation.

Ok, I know I'm supposed to say I love Violets!!!
However, I absoutely adore tulips. I also love Sunflowers, being from Kansas. In my upcoming wedding I need ideas for fall flowers. I'm doing Sunflowers and hopefully some other neat fall flowers. I'm not good with flowers at all. |
Of course, being a Chi O, I love the white carnation... :D
But my other faves are the daisy and purple roses!! :) Love 'em!! |
I really don't like carnations or tulips. I love roses, orchids and calla lilies. Oh, and daffodils.
|
Lily of the valley, of course :D (I genuinely loved them long before joining AEPhi)
Roses - all colors, particularly those with scent Violets, especially white violets African violets Hydrangea Crocus - because it is one of the first flowers to bloom in spring Orchids - but I don't get enough sun to grow them :( Gardenias Dogwood Cherry blossoms Azaleas oh, I could go on and on :) |
