Theta Chi at your school
I consider my chapter to be a collection of nice guys, an image we perpetuate by being true gentlemen all the time. Is this similar to Theta Chi members at your school? I'd love to read some of your thoughts, everyone.

I just wanted to say, I've read some of your posts and you seem like a really sweet and genuine guy. =) Theta Chi's at my school are the good looking, fun, athletic types. Most of the ones I know are sweet as well. Take care and stay sweet. =)

I will totally have to agree with Delta Love. I too have read some of your posts & even visited your site http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif and you seem like such a sweetie!!
It's nice to get some nice new blood to this site! -Allison ------------------ A mistake at least proves that somebody stopped talking long enough to do something. ~ Anonymous |
My chapter went thru some hard times and the Theta Chi's were the only ones who really stuck by & helped & supported us. They've always been fun to party with but as cool as that is, the fact that they were there for us has given me more respect for them than I can possibly say.
And by the way our sweetheart is a Theta Chi!! |

Theta Chi's here are considerably more studious than the Greek average, but of course that has implications for the future as well: that I'll get into the law school of my choice. Who knows? Most importantly, I like the guys in my chapter, and I know this is the right fraternity for me. Thanks for the positive input. ------------------ andrew watters Theta Chi – UCLA |
i honestly feel bad saying this but the theta chis at my school in massachusetts were far from the "cool" guys ... they had like 5 members and eventually got closed down for lack of membership... this really surprised me because i had heard great things about theta chi at other colleges...
|
Contrary to your replies the Theta Ch's here in Omaha are top grade "A" jerks. A couple of years ago they were really great guys, but they instead focused on quantity ove rquality guys and have ended up one of the jerkiest groups on campus. This was a title previously reseved only for the Pikes, however too bad the Theat Chis are creeping in on this title....

oh man, i love theta chi! i rememeber my very first day on campus as a freshman. this theta chi named greg took me around with another girl, merideth and the three of us were inseperable all night. he introduced me to all his brothers, and his other friends, walked me home after meeting everyone, made sure my first few days ran smoothly...he was basically an awesome guy. now, i don't know too many theta chi's anymore (the newer guys aren't circulating around in letters that often) but the ones i DO know are nothing but nice. definately cool guys. oh, and awatters, i went to your website and you really DO seem like a sweetie! available?? haha!

Here at Florida State the Theta Chis are traditionally very strong. They had a rough time recently, and in fact my chapter is currently renting their house. But our alumni tell me that Theta Chi has a long history here of success. They will come back before too long, and their alumni will make certain they're right back among the leaders again.
|
Well I'll have to admit I didn't know any Theta Chi's at my school, but I sure would hope they are all like you awatters...I will agree with everyone else that you do seem like a great guy from reading previous posts. Great Web Site!
|
Our Theta Chi got the boot for having a huge party at their house that got busted by the police and Liquor Control Board. So, they went local and are now unrecognized by the campus. But, when I was in school, they were a fantastic group of guys who knew how to have fun.
|
i dated a Theta Chi for quite a while... i actually lost sweetheart to another girl by 4 votes http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif. but overall, theta chis at our school are seen as the hottest guys (in my opinion).. for the most part, they are nice guys, all VERY good looking, and very upper class (most of the brothers have quite a bit of money).
they know how to drink better than the best...the past two pledge classes they had are really proud to be theta chis and wear their letters ALL the time. they also have the nicest house on campus, by far. i truly love these guys, you should feel so happy to be one http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif! tatianna IUP ------------------ it's hard being a princess...AGD |
Hi awatters! I haven't seen you post recently...I've read a number of your posts, and I just thought that you were really sweet! Plus, you go/went to UCLA, where my sister graduated from http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif. Hope you are still out there, though we have not formally met!

Hey,
The Theta Chi's at my school are the greatest! They are the nicest, most down to earth goup of guys ever. Kristen Delta Phi Epsilon |
Well, I'm engaged to a Theta Chi so of course I am going to think they are great!! However, Theta Chi was my favorite fraternity long before he came along. They are just such down to earth guys who would do anything for you. The Theta Chi house was the first house I partied in my freshman year and every since then (I'm a junior now) I have just always had a special place for them. They are just so much fun to be around. They are the good looking athleates that are good at about everything. Their grades aren't the best however, because they like to party, but they definately know how to have a good time. They have always just treated me like I was their little sister, looking after me all the time and all that stuff. My sorority DG, and them, always have an annual road clean-up together. That's lot's of fun and there isn't another fraternity that I would rather do it with. They just make things tons of fun!! If I were you I would be very proud to say I was a Theta Chi. Just from knowing the Theta Chi's at Morehead, I don't believe there could be a better fraternity out there. So, wear your letters with pride!!

I work with a Theta Chi Alumni, He went to Washington State. He is an awesome guy and when he found out I was a TKE we had a great time talking about our times in our Fraternities.........Basically he is the only guy I know that is a Theta Chi, and if yall are half as cool as he is then yall are damn good in my book..........Blaise
|
I can't remember his name or what school he went to, but I used to chat with a Theta Chi on AOL all the time. (Yes, I do have an internet additction!) Very nice guy-always polite and never had a nasty thing to say about, well, anything.

Like Rachel_DG, I am also engaged to a Theta Chi, and so of course I think they are wonderful (good taste, Rachel!)
Though they were kind of known as "meatheads," they were the typical guys next door who always lent you a helping hand, if you know what I mean. They were always top notch in my book! Unfortunately, that chapter has now been closed due to some bad luck they ran into with an alcohol policy... I hope they will recolonize again after the requisite 3-year "time out!" ------------------ Oh, Kappa Kappa Kappa Gamma, I'm so happy that I am a Kappa Kappa Kappa Gamma, Nobody knows . . . how happy I am! |
Theta Chi at Cal Poly are very nice guys. They are small, maybe 30 guys, but strong. They always do well at Greek events, and even won Mr. Fraternity last year, a pageant for greek guys...a guy I dated was a Theta Chi, and a total gentleman. They are all really hot, athletic, intelligent guys...great to be around! Can't wait for the exchange in Fall quarter!!
|
Theta Chi is awesome at AZ State! (ASU). They have grown to be one of the largest chapters on campus. They are a lot of fun to hang out with, and they are involved in a lot of activities. Most importantly, they are just nice!
|
The Theta Chis at our school are the most studious of the fraternities, however they know how to have fun! They are also the only dry fraternity on our campus, but they throw great off-campus bar parties http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif Also, they are great guys and fun to be around.
|
I adore the Theta Chi's!! Its because of them I met my sisters! I was dating one whose best friend was dating an AOPI and thats how I got where I am today! They are a great group of guys, and always threw the best parties!!!!! My friends and I were so comfortable with them, we would just pop in and stay to watch a movie or catch a football game on tv. And this was before I was a sorority girl!!!
|
The Theta Chi's at my school, tho not the coolest or most popular guys, are by far one of the most open-minded, accepting groups of guys on campus. They're very sweet, and one of our favourite houses on campus. And they have great floor parties!

The Theta Chi's at my school are awesome guys...very down to earth, not full of themselves like other fraternities on campus. They know how to party, and have fun. Theta Chi was the first fraternity party I ever went to and they are pretty much the only people I hang out with now. They are super-nice guys, and very smart.
|
ooops...Did I mention that I'm lavaliered to a Theta Chi, so I'm a little biased to them!!
|
Theta Chi here close like 10 years ago because of low numbers.

sometimes some ppl are funny, and I really wonder what their motives and expectations consist of...you can usually tell from a post like this....i say BLAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! d |
I hate to be negetive and I am sure Theta Chi is the greatest all around the U.S./Canada but the one I knew ruined it for me by cheating on my best friend (an AOPi) and while driving drunk with the young girl who he was seeing on the sly, got in a huge accident and killed the young girl.
BUT- he was ONE IDIOT- and does not represent all Theta Chi's at all!!!!! I hope I can meet some Theta Chi's in the future so I can erase the idiot out of my mind and know they are most likely the terrific guys everyone is saying on this board. |
Theta Chi Rocks!!
|
The Theta Chi chapter at UMass closed when I was a freshman, but the guys that I've met that used to belong are totally adorable.
|
I knew a really nice Theta Chi at Texas A&M. He was my partner for some creative writing projects. He was a very creative, interesting, all-around cool guy.
|
I didnt know any of them personally at UM but I can tell you they are a strong, big and diverse house, but they tend to be chosey about who they hang with. :)
In defense of my AGD sister, Dasma I dont think those were the only characteristics she was looking at to like the guys. Know what shes actually going by instead of looking at some lines in a post. |

In defense of my post, I typed what i did because of what I read. I took what i saw (most characteristics of a stereotypical fraternity in society today) and decided to comment. I do not believe that money and good looks make a chapter of any glo elite or special. Furthermore, I'm not a mind reader, I do not know what she was thinking outside of that post, if she wasn't thinking those things, then I am sorry, but I can only read what is posted. d |
Im not trying to be harsh or anything, but im saying exactly what you said.... your not a mind reader and you dont know what she was thinking or meant when she posted, maybe those arne the only things she looks at.....therefore maybe attacking her post a little wasnt called for, but thats just my two cents. Just helpin out a sister.
|
Well..I can't very well implicate what she was saying from a mere post now can I? What I saw posted were some stereotypical views, but o well. And, I really could not get what you said out of your post either, I don't know how you figure you posted what I posted right after you. I attacked a post, because that's what I saw. Frankly, that's all that I need to see, I don't know the girl, I don't know how she thinks, but if a post like that is posted on a forum, ppl are going to think.
d |
I haven't met many, my sisters say they're mostly OK but I know one here who is an absolute jerk of the lowest order, I try not to let that tarnish my view of the entire group though.
|
I didn't realize that so many people responded to this one-- thanks to all of the polite ladies especially for commenting about me. I didn't check the forums for about a year...and since you ask, yes I am available! I feel like an incredible dork for saying that on a message board!
 |
The very first fraternity party I ever went to was Theta Chi. I was a young, impressionable freshman at Western Mich. but I had one hell of a time and the guys seemed cool!
