Auburn freshman blogs her 2015 Formal Recruitment experience
|
I loved reading this...and I respect the faith and maturity of this 18 year old young woman.
|
Way too much God/prayer in the post for my personal taste, but I'm glad she turned her experience around and ended up very happy in the end.

You know, we talk a lot about rushees being entitled and ungrateful.
Here's someone who could have just stormed off, who had a delightfully positive take on what could have been a bad situation. That's great! |

Such a precious young lady. I know she'll have an amazing experience as a Theta, because she's already figured out that only you are responsible for your own happiness.
|
She is a keeper. I am impressed with her insight and candor.

What a sweet post, and what a positive young woman. I loved reading this. I feel that this young woman will get 110% out of her collegiate experience and give back 110%.
|
That almost made me tear up. Thank you so much for posting it!
|
Yea, this was nice to read. Congrats to Auburn Theta. They chose wisely.

In keeping with your comment, I thought this blog entry was interesting since it makes mention of a controversy ongoing in her community -- she seems wiser than many adults in her community. Backstory: Her high school's BOE recently made a decision to replace their Colonel Reb mascot (was like the former Ole Miss mascot). This has been in the news and also fodder for facebook flames among those choosing sides in her community. To which she writes and then asks: Quote:

This young lady is obviously insightful and has her head screwed on straight; a delightful change from so much I've read surrounding SEC rush.
Someone should send a link to that special snowflake Texas mom who posted earlier. |
Aw, she's a sweetie. What a nice young woman!
|
That was so sweet, and a great reminder for us all to keep the bigger picture in mind. Whether its recruitment, job hunting, or finding a date for an event...all you need is one "yes."
