So What's your favorite Intramural Sport?
 

I'm bored waiting for my IM broomball playoff match to start so I thought "why not post on GC?"

Pretty simple question...What is the one IM sport you like to play the most???

Mine is broomball, followed by soccer (i played in HS) and that's really all I play.

hmm favorite intermural for me would have to be volleyball, followed by indoor soccer and then of course basketball :D

Intramural would have to be softball. I never liked it until last year though. I also like basketball & soccer.

I love IM Hockey! then softball. however i was ejected in the last game of the year in hockey for getting into a little bit of a skirmish, but i didnt start it!

IM hockey, lol.

I play football, basketball, and softball for us. Weve won all sports three years in a row. I love IM

IM soccer is pretty fun.

I played baseball all my life till college, from little league right up to high school varsity, so softball (the closest equivilent at BU) is my favorite intramural.

Football's a lot of fun too, as is floor hockey and basketball.

We usually end up having teams in most of the sports available, but those are the ones I get involved in.

It's a tossup between football and lacrosse, although I didn't even know what lax was until I got to central new york, not much of it down here in the city.

Volleyball, football, and indoor floor hockey-no ice no skates. I played softball and basketball in h.s. also. :D

The only sport everyone shows up for on my campus is football -- and it's by far my favorite.

SOCCER in the fall
followed by soccer in the spring

hockey & badminton.

Speaking as a past IM chair for my chapter, I have to say soccer & bowling.

Speaking of Intramurals:

Tonight we were supposed to play Phi Tau for the Championship in B-ball, but evidently in the semi-'s last night one of them used a racial slur to this SAE guy who went back & told the head of the department so Phi Tau is indefinitely suspended from all IM's which if they get entirely suspended, it will be the second group to be suspended from IM's this year, which will make our winning IM's again this year not quite as sweet.

i hope we have enough people -- if we forfeit this year i will be soooo pissed off!!

So as I was watching a taped Arsenal vs. South Hampton with my roomie & a bunch of his friends and we were having the discussion about soccer cause they were talking about it being a pansy sport.

My argument was that it's kind of like Basketball but where everyone has to be as smart as a point guard, because everyone must create plays. It's like Football except that injuries don't come dispersed across ones entire body, but more directly to typically just the legs (knees, ankles, etc). It requires more patience than any sport, as well as more endurance, it requires just as much athleticism if not more. I can understand that if you're ignorant to the sport that it could be boring, but if you enjoy a team you have so many more people to take interest in because they actually can and do show their personality on the field, besides who knows everyone on a football team....furthermore who cares?

And lastly....how can millions and millions of fans throught-out centuries be wrong?
