Lila,
It would take a lot of typing to provide the information that you seek! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

This is because there are 26 NPC sororities, 4 NPHC sororities, 5 NPHC fraternities and many many NIC fraternities, professional GLOS, local GLOS, and other sororities, etc. and they all have colors which they have as their official colors.

However, I am certain that the colors themselves are public information (the colors may have a "secret meaning" which would be only known to initiated members) If you looked on the group's websites, the official colors for that group will most likely be stated (although the meaning would not be).

Good luck and happy surfing! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

If you could tell us which ones specifically, that would help. There are literally a couple hundred or more sororities and fraternities - national, local, professional, service, etc.

Locals are Greek letter organizations with only one chapter (that is, they are only on one university or college campus). (Someone please correct me if groups w/two to three chapters are sometimes called locals - I'm not 100% positive on that.) Some locals have been around for decades. Others are more recent. Some locals are established with the goal of becoming a chapter of a national sorority or fraternity.

Now, I didn't see my sorority's colors on the above postings - so I will add them!

NPHC organizations are historically and predominately African American.

95% of the info you're asking for is somewhere on this board, but to tell you the truth, I didn't feel like looking for the links to all the posts so I know you won't either (unless yo have that kind of time on your hands) SO, being the internet DIVA that I am, I will post as many sites I can remember/have access to. Y'all help me out if I forget some.

John, is there a centrally located place on the board where we can put this info since so many people request it?

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC/Divine Nine): www.nphc.org

OK, I'm going to muddy the waters about Delta Tau Delta just a little bit.

Someone above has (at least semi) correctly identified Delt's colors a Purple and Gold. In reality, they are Royal Purple and Gold -- but in one of our traditional songs are the words, "Sing to the Royal Purple, Sing to the White and Gold." In another song there is mention of, "The Purple and White."

I think it is probably fair to say that the Delt Colors are Royal Purple, Gold and White.

The official colors of LXA are Purple Green And Gold! If you look at our Coat of Arms (Crest) you will see our colors. Also if you look at Our Coat of Arms, it is the most correct for the Hereldy of a Coat of Arms of any Greek Organization! It is also the one of the most intricate of any, bar none!
