:D :D :D
I'm glad I'm not the only one that Loves The Cosby Show! ;) I have a lot of favorite shows.....Let's see....I was going through the list of episodes and one of my favorites is the one where Denise made that shirt for Theo.....FUNNY!!!:D My favorite phrase "I am your father....I brought you in this world...I'll take you out!" My favorite? That's a hard one....I like them ALL......I guess....Theo...He has grown in to a Fine Man.....then Keisha.....She has grown in to a beautiful woman. The others fall in to what ever order. :p :) |
Quote:
Two of my favorite phrases came from CLAIRE when she would break ELVIN down and when she told Sondra just HOW MUCH she owed her for her PRINCETON education. MY FAVORITE COSBY KID is RUUUUUUUUUDY!!:p GUESS WHICH COSBY KID IS BORN THE EXACT SAME DAY as me but two years older?!!? KELLI cannot answer this question!:p |
ALICIA KEYS EPISODE
This was another favorite episode:
22. Slumber Party Rudy feels left out when her siblings refuse to include her in their activities, so Cliff agrees to let her have a slumber party. **Episode #22 is the episode that reportedly Alicia Keys was on** My favorite Non Cosby Kids: Peter and COCKROACH!! |
COSBY KIDS
I think I would have to vote on Theo.......I love him.....

Another Question: WHICH CHARACTER did you have a crush on? MY CRUSH was COCKROACH!!! wit his fine self. |
Hello Ladies,
If I may post: *My fave Cosby kid: Denise--even though she was ditzy, she was different and did her own thing. She became really annoying on A Different World though. *My fave non- cosby kid--Kenny (Bud!) Too bad we never got to meet his "older brother". Interesting advice he always gave Kenny.:rolleyes: *My fave episode--that really is a hard one but a couple of them are: when Rudy is upset about not having breasts, Theo's prom (the helicopter), when Theo and Justine get busted by Claire for living together, and the one where the family travels to Hillman to visit the retiring professor. I had a huge crush on Cockroach (who didnt?) :p |
Favorite Cosby Kid, Rudy
Favorite Episode, when Cliff was playing practical jokes on the family so they wanted to trick him with Sondra and Elvin's engagement I just watched the first episode. Things were really different. There were only 4 kids, they called him Teddy(instead of Theo), Cliff's name was Clifford (not Heathcliff), it looks like Claire was a housewife, not an attorney and the living room of the house is completely different (and an apartment in Manhattan only costs $400 a month!!!:eek: ) |

I love the Cosby show and do you know that when this show first aired, I ddin't watch it. I remember I was in college in a friends dorm room and was like what is this show you are watching. I was hooked from that point on. Favorite episode, definitely the shirt and Denise trying to make one that looked like it. I have so many that I can't even really remember them right now. Favorite Cosby kid... Theo |

Why was my Man and I in tears??? The shirt....the shirt....tucked in to his socks? :rolleyes: I'm cracking up right now! Do you share your birthday with Tempestt? I know Malcolm's birthday is early in the greatest month....I'm the 26th ;) ....but I don't remember if it is the same day as you. My least favorite show.....I think I have to say that fairy tale thing....Happy Land versus Evil land? What goes on? My least favorite character.....I'm not sure....I guess I would say Kenny's older brother :confused: the advise he alwayz gave his brother was ridiculous..."My brother said......" At the same time it was funny too. My favorite Non Cosby kid....BUD ;) I had a crush on Theo....I think He is one year older than me.....and every now and again.....Cockroach....UNTIL.....Allen Payne came on the scene as Lance.....Good Lord Allen Payne is fine!!! :p Another episode that I like was when Olivia was sick and the Grand/Great Grandparents were giving remedies to cure her. Cliff said something like "......yeah it'll open her chest up to the Heavenly Gates." ;) |

:cool: :cool: Yes TEMPESTT and I are LEOS together. I used to like Vanessa because we were the same age while the show was on but she lost me from Afro days on, especially the whole DABNIS BRICKEY thing.:rolleyes: :rolleyes: That is my least favorite episode of the 8 seasons that Cosby was on the air. As I mentioned, I saw it when they first aired it and to this day, I don't watch it. I forgot about LANCE & SLY!!:o In conclusion, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY 5:D :cool: :p |
I met Allen Payne a few years ago at a BBQ that my cousin had and he is/was really nice and down to earth.
Now I met Arthur...aka... Slide a few years ago as well. Guess what he was doing? Ok I will tell ya. :p He was my waiter at a local restaurant where I was having dinner. |
I'll be a Nick at Night wathcin' fool this week, 'cause I love me some Cosby. I want my kids to watch some of the episodes too because it's such good black-family wholesome programming, that really lacks on the air these days.
WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE COSBY KID? Denise (we were alot alike at that age...girlfriend lost me though on Diff. World) WHO WAS YOUR FAVORITE NON COSBY KID? Vanessa's friend who talked so fast all the time. She had be crackin' up. I don't remember her name. I've wonder what she ended up doing after Cosby. WHAT WERE YOUR FAVORITE EPISODES? All of them In college, guys would try and make dates with us to come by and watch Cosby together. Mushond Lee played the character Slide. He went to Howard while I was there (2nd Floor, HU Towers). He was cool. |

Thank you for the reminder.
Now I need to get my marathon snack ready and in order. I do not have a favorite Cosby kid I like them all.:) |
I only watched a few of them last night...
Okay, I never noticed that during the 1st show, the house looked different. It seem much smaller and cramped. :eek: Then I never realized that Kadeem Hardison played one of Theo's friends when he wanted Denise to make that Gordon Gartrell (sp) shirt. LMAO I think I fell asleep after that. LMAO! |

My favorite Cosby kids were Rudy and Theo.
Least favorite was Sondra, hands down. Favorite non-Cosby kids were Charmaine and Lance. Mannn. This marathon was cracking me up last night. This is my favorite scene of all: VANESSA (knocking) CLIFF: Who is it? VANESSA (opens door) CLIFF: You don't just open my door. When I say "Who is it?", you say who it is. Got it? VANESSA: Okay. (closing door.. knocking again) CLIFF: Who is it? VANESSA: Who it is!! LMAO... I almost fell off the couch laughing at that. The Cosby Show and Fresh Prince are much funnier to me in re-runs. |
I wasn't able to catch the marathon until the end...but one thing's been nagging me all day--
What was Rudy's friend's name--the chubby white kid who almost always never said anything? He's my favorite non-Cosby kid. My most favorite episode has to be the one where Theo gets introduced to the real world and learns a lesson or two about how it really is. My aunt and uncle actually did that to my cousin a few years back. It actually worked. |

I LOVE the Cosby Show, but A Different World is my FAVORITE show in the world. At least the ones after Denise left the show. But to answer the questions:
Favorite Cosby Kid: I really liked them all except for Sandra. LAWD she was soooo boring. They really could have left her off in my opinion. Favorite Non-Cosby Kid: Without a doubt, it was Bud (Kenny). I also like Stanlely, the few times that he was on the show. Favorite Episode: 1.) When Vanessa lied about being out with that guy (can't remember his name) and Cliff and Clare turned the couch around to wait for her. That's when Cliff put the apples on top of each other. 2.) The "shirt" episode. 3.)The one when Rudy started her period and Clare told Rudy "there would be times when you are GLAD that this happens :)" My Least Favorite: When the men were with child and the fairytale ep. I HATED THOSE!!!! UGH |

Ok I think that I can answer some of the questions now.
Favorite Cosby kid I had answered before is Theo Favorite non-Cosby kid...hans down Charmaine and Lance ( I can still hear Charmaine's high pitched voice saying Laaaaance. Favorite episodes...damn I have many...but th ones I can think of now. First off I like all the ones from the first 2 or 3 seasons. Mainly the shirt episode where Theo wanted Denise to make the look alike Gordon Cartrell...The episode where Theo got his ear pierced...The ep of Cliff's parents 48 wedding anniversary...the ep where cousin Pam first came to live with them..I have many more but I will end here for now.:D The lease fav ep is where Rudy writes a story and they act it out, it was like a fairy tale...hated it...and the 2nd least fav is where CLiff eats late at night and dreams of sesame street type charachters...3rd is the one where the men are pregnant. |
I have so many favorites, I don't know where to begin:
FAVORITE KID: Theo (he was just too cool) FAVORITE NON-KID: Cockroach and Kenny FAVORITE EPISODES: 1. The shirt episode! That has to be my all-time favorite! ('It's tucked into my socks!') 2. Rudy's slumber party with those twin girls doing their little hand game. That was classic! (1..2..3..4..5..I'm alive!) I have to catch that one again to see Alicia. 3.Vanessa bringing home Dabnus for the first time and telling the family they're engaged. 4. Clair suffers from menopause (the kitchen scene was hilarious!) 5. Rudy plays football ("Sweet Feet") 6. Denise and Olivia babysitting the twins, Winnie and Nelson. 7. Vanessa and Rudy: WW5! 8. Theo getting caught by Justine kissing Jade (Maxine from Soul Food), then writing a song to win her back ("Justine, Justine"). 9. Theo in the "real world". 10. Vanessa and her friends put together a girl group, The Lipsticks. They look so scandalous! 11. The anniversary singalongs, especially the one where Rudy breaks it down ("Baaaaabaaaaay"). 12. Theo throws a huge party and the place is trashed. 13. Cockroach makes it on Dance Mania and Theo doesn't. 14. Vanessa gets drunk. 15. Olivia and Rudy: WW6! The singing in it was HORRIBLE! 16. Every time Cliff and Clair make up at the end. 17. Theo's prom 18. Theo gets his ear pierced. 19. Vanessa sneaks out with a guy (that apple scene was funny!) 20. Theo's breakup with Tanya backfires (Tanya dumps him first)! 21. Pam hooks up with a new guy, Aaron. 22. Denise brings Martin home for the first time. 23. Kara, the girl who talks too much! She is a trip! 24. Kenny and his brother's sayings! 25. Vanessa and her friends sneak out to go to a concert in Baltimore (Vanessa was a rebel, wasn't she?) 26. Vanessa's friend (Bird on Soul Food) smoking in her room. Rudy's line was hilarious ('They make your breath stink, they make your lungs dirty, and THEN YOU DIE!') 27. The Huxtables jam with Stevie Wonder. 28. Cliff gets sick but puts together an island feast for Clair after they find out their favorite restaurant closes down. 29. Clair telling Elvin off! 30. Cliff's long-winded stories, especially about his pet bird, Charlie, the one he sat on. 31. Rudy tries to make her breasts grow. (Bailey's Bust-o-Matic, breast enhancement cream) 32. Those stories about Eunice Chantilly! I wish we could've saw her! Ok, I have more favorites, but this post is getting too long! Here are my least favorites: LEAST FAVORITES: 1. Cliff's friend tells him that his daughter has a drug problem. That was one of the most boring episodes I've ever watched! 2. Cliff eating that meatball sandwich and the whole show turned into the "Muppet Show"! 3. Cliff's neighbor, Jeffrey, gets a toupee and hits it off with one of Clair's old friends. 4. Rudy and her friends go to a club. 5. Most of last season was a drag! 6. The series finale was disappointing! 7. Most of the episodes with Sondra and Elvin on them. They were boring to me! Especially Elvin! 8. The pregnant men! That was too unrealistic! 9. Pam being pressured by Arthur to have sex. 10. Cliff has rematch with his track and field rival in college. |
The Theo-gets-a-taste-of-real-life ep. is coming on tonight at 11:00 (Central time). :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.usatoday.com/life/columns/candy.htm Theo's picture: Still tucked into my socks Whitney chats Wednesdays at 1 p.m. ET. Submit questions now Enter the delicious archive Nothing comes between me and Gordon Gartrelle. For the past three nights, I have sacrificed sleep, regular meals and the triumphant return of Once & Again to watch reruns of The Cosby Show on Nick at Nite. Why would I knowingly do such a thing? Two words: Theo Huxtable. Sure, I once copied Denise's make-up techniques. I envied Rudy's dimples. I was even fascinated by Vanessa's bizarre mushroom haircut near the end of the series' run. But I spent most of the '80s nurturing an unhealthy fixation on Theo, only son of Cliff and Clair, played by the lovable Malcolm-Jamal Warner. It didn't take long to get me hooked. The show's pilot episode gave viewers a peek into Theo's world, which included a report card littered with D's and the largest bedroom in America. Numerous adventures followed, including the time Theo came home with a pierced ear and the year he was chosen to carve the Thanksgiving turkey (and deliver a dreadful Julia Child impression). Despite his bad grades and clownish behavior, Theo seemed to have it all. The fifth episode of The Cosby Show — a Theo showcase, of course — still stands as my favorite 30 minutes in sitcom history. In "A Shirt Story," Dr. Huxtable forces Theo to return a $95 Gordon Gartrelle designer shirt. Loopy Denise swears she can sew one just like it for a fraction of the price, and, of course, the result is hilariously disastrous. When Denise suggests Theo tuck in the misshapen shirt to improve its look, he insists, "It's tucked into my socks!" I know it sounds nutty, but I've watched hours of Nickelodeon's Cosby Show marathon in hopes of seeing "A Shirt Story" one more time. I loved the episode so much, in fact, that I once recorded it. The tape quickly became a favorite in my freshman dormitory, where, unfortunately, someone decided to steal it. Figures. And, speaking of crime, even the serious, moral-heavy Theo episodes are worth repeated viewings. Most people remember when a joint fell out out Theo's textbook, a storyline which ranks right up there with the time Cherry got trapped in a refrigerator on Punky Brewster. And who can forget Theo's dyslexia? Silver Spoons may have handled it better — after all, they got Bruce Jenner to guest star — but The Cosby Show maintained the plot point to the very end of the series. The more I watched Theo, the more I yearned for a best friend named Cockroach and someone to sing the "Justine, Justine!" song to me. But sadly, as the seasons wore on (The Cosby Show ran from 1984-92), Cockroach disappeared and was replaced by forgettable sidekicks (including a guy named Smitty, played by a young Adam Sandler). Theo went to graduate school, grew some facial hair and became a teacher. As Theo's antics faded, I was forced to turn my obsession to the cast of thirtysomething. Nevertheless, most episodes of The Cosby Show have retained their hilarity, and I'm glad to see them back on the air. (I awoke my spouse the other night after laughing too hard during the funeral for Rudy's goldfish, Lamont.) When desperate for an anecdote at a family function, I advise passing a Theo story off as your own. To this day, some of my relatives may still believe I wrote the "Shakespeare Rap." Some may say it's too soon to add the series to Nick at Nite's lineup, but I say it happened just at the right time. Family sitcoms no longer rule prime time, and the ones that do could learn some lessons from the Huxtables. The Cosby Show combined just enough fantasy with reality and featured a fabulous cast. So where is the cast now? Well, Lisa Bonet still loves the eyeliner; she appeared in High Fidelity a couple years ago. Keshia Knight Pulliam graduated from college last year. Tempestt Bledsoe appeared on Politically Incorrect last week. Sabrina Le Beauf — she played Sondra, in case you've forgotten — is now an interior designer. And my Malcolm-Jamal is co-starring with Luke Perry in a new Showtime series. As for Theo's whereabouts, I'd like to think he's now married to Justine, living in a big, Huxtable-size home and forbidding his kids to pierce their ears. Without a doubt, I'm sure he a few Gordon Gartrelles in his closet, too. |
My faves
Favorite Cosby Kid: without a doubt, it had to be Theo! Theo was a straight fool. He kept me in tears. And the fool must have had a tape worm the way he and Cockroach used to eat (remember how much he loved the "Bacon Burger Dog"?). Plus I loved how he would always get caught up in his lies about something or another (like when they put him on trial for lying about the track team incident).
Favorite Non-Cosby Kid: This is a tight category, but Imma have to go with Kenny, bka BUD. He was straight jokes. And he didn't say "My Brother says", it was "My BRUHVA says". I liked him best when he was young and cute (I liked Rudi best when she was young and cute TOO...you know I gotta give a soror a shout out - SMILE). And of course I loved the oh so sexy LANCE. He's a hottie. Favorite Episode: I want to say that my favorite episode is an earlier one, when Denise brings her boyfriend, played by Kristoff St. John (Neil from Young and the Restless, but he had a big ol' jheri curl of some sort) home for dinner. He had on the mismatched socks, and was going off on Cliff and Claire about their jobs and incomes and such. And he said, "Oh, I don't believe in grades", and Theo was like, ALRIGHT!! That would have to be the alltime jokiest to me. Another episode my sisters and I LOVE is when Rudi's friend sleeps over - she's played by this little white girl who also played the daughter in 'Beaches'. In the episode, the little girl wakes Cliff up in the middle of the night saying she hates Rudi and wants him to take her home right now. But by the time Cliff wakes up and goes to get her, she's back in the bed sleeping and says, "I love Rudi - she's my best friend." That just cracks me and my sisters up every time for some reason. OOOWEEE, I loved "The Lipsticks" - when Vanessa and her girls formed the group singing "The Locomotion". BOY OH BOY were their voices TERRIBLE!!! And those outfits...phew! Least favorite episode: The later episodes were wack. I wasn't too keen on "Winnie and Nelson", those non-acting Huxtable grandkids. And altho I liked the first "anniversary song" episode, the ones to follow just didn't live up to the first "Nighttime is the Right time" song. The only good thing about the finale was the fact that Cliff wore A TUSKEGEE SWEATSHIRT (don't hate). I also tripped off of how at first, they had 4 kids and then this 5th kid pops up. I'm still trying to figure out how old Cliff and Claire are, and how they managed law school, med school + residency, and 5 kids all at practically the same time. But then again, on Happy Days and Family Matters, they started out with more kids and ended up with less (remember Richie's big brother who played basketball, and Eddie & Laura's little sister with all the ponytails?). So that's television I guess. |
I think the ep. with Alicia is on tonight.
Thank You
DOES anyone know what happened to Peter?!?!!?!? Cosby Philosophy: ALICIA KETS is 20. Keshia Knight Pulliam is 23. She could not have been on this episode for the simple fact that Rudy was app. 6 or 7 on this ep and Alicia woild have been 3 -- not a match. So back to the drawing board as to what episode. We have to keep watching, studying light skinned faces, and reading the credits. |
