http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local...ng-virg/nnRLx/

I saw the live feed and was like WTF? Heartbreaking

AZTheta 08-26-2015 10:41 AM

Oh Jill, my heart aches. This is unspeakable. I'm so very sorry.

Alpha O 08-26-2015 11:03 AM

What a senseless, horrible tragedy. My heart goes out to everyone who knew the victims in any form.

Jill, I hope you and everyone else are taking care of yourselves. I'm so sorry that this happened and that you saw it.

clemsongirl 08-26-2015 11:04 AM

My cousin who is a graduate of JMU Alpha Phi posted about this morning. I am heartbroken for her and you and all other Alpha Phis and people she knew.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Jill and the friends and family of the victims. I hope they catch the person who did this.

LouisaMay 08-26-2015 11:32 AM

Oh my! That is so horrible. I'm so sorry, Jill and Alpha Phi.

This is so horrific. Multiple news outlets are reporting that the suspect filmed the incident himself and uploaded it to his (now suspended) social media accounts. He WANTED people to see this. Disgusting.

During a stand off with police, he shot himself.

So sorry you had to see this Jill.

lovespink88 08-26-2015 12:12 PM

I had a feeling she might be Greek.

So heartbreaking.

I can't help but wondering if Adam, the cameraman, was enrolled at VT freshman year as well. They said he graduated from there, so if he attended all 4 years, it's likely he lived through the VT shootings, as he and I are the same age and it happened during my freshman year.

APhiLife 08-26-2015 12:26 PM

Oh that is just awful!

ASTalumna06 08-26-2015 04:22 PM

The shooter has died and his long suicide note is disturbing. It makes you wonder what else can set someone off...

RIP to the victims :(

This is just horrific and all over our local news.

She was described by the JMU faculty as one of the best.

So very sorry.

ETA: More local coverage.

I'm sorry you had to see that happen live, Jill.

Hugs,

So terribly sad, so terribly horrifying. My sincere sympathy is extended to the friends & families (greek and blood) of both Allison and Adam.

thetalady 08-26-2015 07:33 PM

How incredibly heartbreaking that Adam Ward's fiance was in the control room & saw his murder as it happened :'-(

als463 08-26-2015 07:51 PM

I'm so sorry to hear this. It really breaks my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of these two people.

AmoXO 08-26-2015 08:20 PM

This story is so horrible. I used to work at a TV station, and I can't even imagine the horror of those in the control room and at the desk when it happened. Especially the producer who was engaged to the cameraman.

He was so brave, turning the camera to get footage of his shooter.

I'm heartbroken for their family and friends and co-workers.

jolene 08-26-2015 09:02 PM

So sad. Two people innocently go on location to do their jobs and this psycho stalks them. I wonder how he knew where they'd be? I know he's a former employee so maybe he had a list of assignments and locations?

SWTXBelle 08-26-2015 09:23 PM

My heart absolutely aches for their families.

Ever since losing my niece, I immediately think of the family when I hear of a tragedy like this. Oh, the pain they are feeling! Those poor partners - it's just horrible.

navane 08-27-2015 01:20 AM

So awful. :( So many people are hurting today. Jill, I, too, am sorry that you had to see that.

BlueOwl 08-27-2015 11:39 AM

My Alpha Phi daughter and I send our thoughts and prayers to the JMU chapter, and to the families and loved ones of the deceased and injured. This is a heartbreaking and horrific tragedy.
