I know FSU registration ends August 10th. I hope a number is given then.

Thank you FSUZeta! I've been thinking about posting her progress each day, however I'm not sure I can do it..... She's an out-of-state PNM and as a national officer in my sorority with extensive recruitment experience, I know that recruitment could go either very well or be very tragic. Both she and I are realists about this! What I hope most is for her to find a sorority that will be as wonderful to her as what mine has been for me! AND that it will be a lifelong relationship..... I always identify as "I AM" a/an _________! :)

Great news! Gamma Phi Beta is colonizing this year as well.

FSU's registration closed and there is over 2000 PNM's!!!

Do yall know how many registered last year? I'm just wondering if this is a larger number.

I'm so happy it's more than last year. There was a FB post when they matched last year's number and registration was still open so I hoped it would go up.

I cannot remember exact numbers but I see to remember it was shy of 1600.

Great that Gamma Phi Beta is joining the Panhellenic community this fall, too! Delta Zeta was the last colony, over a decade ago, and they have thrived!

In a private Facebook post, someone said UF's numbers were higher. I hope they are right. I thought they may be confused with FSU. Thank you to everyone who shares my excitement.

Did UF Panhel decide all the chapters needed a video? I'm noticing on YT that the naming convention of the videos is consistent.

I don't think they were required, and the names don't all look the same to me...some are "recruitment promo," others are "summer adventures"...the videos themselves are similar (trips to the lake! blowing glitter out of our hands!) but it seems like some are just summer recaps while others are snippets from the full-length recruitment video they are showing today in Round 3.

UF is (or, was!) a no-frills recruitment campus but a quick peek on social media makes it seem like frills are back a little bit these days!

The frills are what the PMNs like unfortunately. And with Pinterest it's easier to creep back into the frill zone without realizing it. Last year, I was talking with a PMN at a large SEC school and she told me that when she was ranking it was between two chapters for the last spot in the first group and she ranked the one with the "cute drink cups" higher than the one who used plain disposable cups. I kid you not.

OK, that's one for the "stupid reasons you pledged or cut a group" thread!

I think the no-frills thing gets ridiculous when they tell you you can only cut your fruit for pref night plates into squares and you can't use a melon baller, because not everyone can afford a $5 melon baller from walmart...

Did that really happen?

Primary quota was 65 and secondary quota was 17, for a total of 82. Sigma Kappa took quota plus seven for 89 fantastic new members!

Delta Gamma welcomed 82 New Members to our house last night. It is an amazing new member class and even the weather did not dampen spirits.
