Your "First Time" - A Good or Bad Experience?
During my monthly girls nite out with my friends and I last night, we were sitting around drinking wine and talking about just about every topic imaginable. One of the things we discussed was what the first time we had sex was like. Some of us said it was a good experience, some said not. Some said we were in relationships, some not, etc.
So, how would you characterize your first time? Any regrets? Or are you happy with how it happened? |
I have no shame.... :D
My first time was after Homecoming during my senior year in High School. I with my boyfriend of then 3 months (we're not together anymore). We were both virgins so neither had a CLUE as to what we were doing. It was awful. I definitely don't regret it. I can look back on it laugh. In fact, I hung out with him the other day and we were both joking around about how bad it was. At least we can laugh about it! |
I had a very good experience. It was my freshman year in college and I had been going out with this guy for 4 months and was in love. We "did it" at a motel 6 b/c he failed out of school and I had to come and visit him here in Austin at his parents house. I distinctly remember watching the gulf war on TV (oh that soooo dates me).
I guess I have to say bad. I left crying. It was at my house and I left him there! What a birthday present. In hindsight, I probably wasn't ready but can't change that now.
Good. The guy and I were head over heels in love with each other, and I went into it with no expectations because I had heard that often for a girl the first time is an experience that kind of sucks. It was very sweet though and very much an expression of love and I was definitely kind of young when it happened (a HS junior) but two years later I don't think it's anything I will ever regret.
I laughed through the whole thing. (Out of relief - see my other post.)
I was "in love" as well and had been dating the guy for about 4 months. I was 15 and thought we were ready for anything. It happened in the loft of his neighbors garage. It was the first time for both of us and I truly don't remember anything except it wasn't terrible.
My first time was with my husband, but we were only dating at the time. Somehow I just knew he was "The One" ... I never believed in "saving myself for marriage" but I'm glad I've only been with him. We were both virgins, and I think he feels the same way about only having been with me.
My first time was so awful. I thought it was going to be so great because I had the hugest crush on this senior football quarterback and we hung out and then afterwards I was so embarassed every time I saw him and he told all his friends and stuff. The whole situation was just bad in general.
my first time was everything i could have asked for. i was a junior in high school, and really the first in my group of friends to do it. (though now, i'm the one with the fewest 'notches in the headboard') i had been dating the guy for 6 months (we ended up dating for over 3 years) and he was the perfect gentleman about it. there was never any pressure, and it was my decision from the get go. it didn't hurt, and was a very positive experience. we always thought we were going to get married, and i think sometimes we'd still be toghether now if we could have 'grown up' in a little different way. i don't regret anything about that day, or that weekend. i'm glad it happened the way it did
Borrrrinnng. Everything up to it was fine, but the sex itself was totally uninteresting.
It was pretty good as I recall, but my most vivid memory was being petrified until her next period came along. Unwanted pregnancy was a much bigger thing in the sixties than it is today.
WORLD's OLDEST virgin?!?
Yep I'm 19 and still a virgin. I guess that's a good thing, but sometimes I feel like I'm missing out. I've had opportunities, but felt I wasn't ready. In some ways I feel like I should wait till I'm married, but sometimes I feel I should just wait until I'm engaged or at least in love (true love). How will I know if I'm really in love though? Grrr... Guess I shouldn't worry about it right now since I haven't even had a date since last August. :(

Bad, bad, bad....
Horrible. Lost it on a balcony in new Orleans, overlooking Bourbon St, like something outta a trashy Jackie Collins novel. Oh, yeah, there was a 20 year age difference between us. Ewwwwww. When I got home I had an urge to iron EVERYTHING in sight. (just kidding). It was anonymous, cheap and taudry. I had waited a long time, and it wasnt for that experience. Took me a fist full of Xanax just to get through the week after. The part that got me was that it wasnt with someone I cared for, and i was FLUCKED UP drunk. I was very angry with myself that I allowed alcohol to affect my judgement and decision making skills to that extent. I am ok with it now. Just chalked it up to an experience, and no major damage was done. (used a condom, and it was all ok - STD wise) Its prettty anecdotal now.
Horrible doesnt describe it. I lost mine to a boy who was three years older than me who took it from me. I didn't get to give my virginity to anyone. DId I mention I was only 14, and I started high school two weeks later where he went.

Re: Bad, bad, bad....
Yeah, but when the guilt fades, all you have to do is tell it a little diffeently and its going to sound like one hell of a story! That could have come out of aHarlequin Romance Book or Pent House Letters:)

My first time was kind of sucky. I had just turned 17 and had been dating this guy for six months. We were both virgins so we had no idea of what the hell we were doing. If you are a guy just skip the next couple of lines...I couldn't tell if I hurt from having sex for the first time or because I started my period!! Talk about embarassing! We dated for five more years and I eventually dumped him...he just never got the hang of sex ;)
My first time was sweet and loving, but he fumbled at the goal line...lol.
We were 17 and he was my first love and both first timers. My expectations were mixed, but what we did seemed natural. I don't regret it. There is something awesome about two young inexperienced lovers, who ARE in love, exploring one other and learning together. When you are in love, the loving part is what is special, more than the physical act. The physical part will follow soon enough if the heart leads. |
Good...but funny :D
I had been dating Paul for quite sometime...I was 18 and he was 26. He was in law school in Georgia and I was at the Univ of Tennessee. We ended up dating for 2 years, got engaged, and broke it off. Anyway. we tried and tried for months...but it just wouldnt work (I wont go into detail). Well I was in the architecture building working on a project really late one night, and Paul was coming in for the weekend, and meeting me there at school. When he got there we walked around up on the 3rd floor for awhile and chatted...we started kissing and I ended up having my 1st time on someones drafting table haha. The funny thing about it was we both yelled out "oh my lord it went in...it went IN!" because we were so shocked it actually worked that time. It was very nice and I am glad to say I had my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the comfort and privacy of my own room lol! |
I was 20 at the time and had been going out with my b/f for about 5 months (we've been together almost 4 years now), it was good; no regrets whatsoever; I guess the only bad thing about it is now I have to say I lost my virginity in a fraternity house, which sounds pretty bad, but that's where my boyfriend was living at the time ...:p
My first time was amazing! It was my senior year with a guy who I had dated for two years. It was at his house and he had his room lit with candles and soft music was playing. He give me a massage for like an half an hour before we actually did it. He and I were both virgins. We are still dating now. I love him so much! -UDZETA ;)
WOW! Everyone has an interesting story.
My first time was when I was 19, a freshman in college. I had been with my boyfriend for about 4 mos. He was my first love, and it just seemed like the right thing to do- I wouldn't say it was bad, but it definetly got better as the time went on. haha. We stopped seeing each other my junior year- but he's such a sweetie and we're still friends today. :)
My first time was a wonderful experience. I was so in love with him and he was in love with me. It was the most beautiful thing i've experienced. We were pretty young (16) but we waited until we were both ready. We stayed together until he died in an automobile accident. It was one of the hardest thing i ever had to go through. He's still in my heart always ..... *sighs*
Mine happened the night I graduated from high school..I was 17 and he was 16, and we were each others first love. We were both virgins, and wound up dating for 2 1/2 years. It wasn't bad at all, but during the whole thing, I was like( starts blushing)..is he in?? What's going on?? OMG, I can't believe I just admitted that, lol :D . Now, thinking about sex with him I'm just like, ehhh....yucky...(we didn't part well).
Great for me, okay for her. I was 15 and we dated until I was 18 and I left for college. We are still friends and talk once or twice a year even though she is married with four kids.
Besides the initial ackwardness of the "Do you want to?"..."Yeah, are you sure"? conversation, my first time was everything I could have asked for. Right person, right time, no regrets.
May 15, 1999 (I was 19) LOL! I hadn't been dating the guy very long but we ended up dating for 1 1/2 years.
It was okay! It was uncomfortable because it was my first time and like AOX81 I had just ended my cycle and wasn't sure if it was still that or the sex... I know...T.M.I!!! I don't regret losing my virginity ~ as a matter of fact I'm glad I waiting till College to lose it. Hootie |

ZTA person (sorry, but I forgot the last part of your screen name)
You're not the world's oldest, I"m a year older than you. I haven't dated in a while either, so don't feel alone :( |
october 24, 1997..exactly one month before my eighteenth birthday(thats how i remember the date)...it was this guy who was friends w/a friend of mine from home(i went to school about an hour away)..nothing special..i was just ready to do it, didn't want to lose it to some random fraternity guy while i was drunk at a party or something, ended up "seeing" the guy (or whatever you wan to call it)for a few months after that...but definately no regrets..
I don't remember the date but I do remember that it was awful. The only reason I even remember it now is because he dumped me the next day. Great way to lose your virginity, huh?:(
not that long ago...October 25th, 2001...the day after Hayride.
I'm guessing sometime late 2003, early 2004 maybe? Whenever the guy and I finally make it legal :)
We figured, hey, we've made it 4 years, 7 months (today! Hooray!) why give in now ;) No regrets either. We'll both be first-timers that night - exactly the way we want it. Something brand new for the both of us to celebrate. |
Good for you and him!

November 11, 2001....Happy 19th Birthday to me! My birthday party got a little out of control, and one of my really good guy friends and I ended up just going for it. We had been flirting and into eachother for quite some time, but we established that night that we would be horrible as a couple. The sex was the absolute most painful thing in the whole wide world, but he was nice and careful about the whole thing. Sometimes I wish I would have waited til I was in love, but the whole experience felt right and I don't regret it. For about two weeks afterwards I kept waiting for regret to set in, but it never happened. I certainly learned alot, even though it was obviously not as good for me as it was for him! I'm really proud that I held out til 19 though...it was probably the best decision I've ever made, being a virgin for that long I mean. It really is such a huge deal emotionally, especially for girls.

Bumping cause I am bored. ;)
Mine happened February 24, 1992, in my dorm room at IU, with the guy I was dating at the time. We had gone to see Wayne's World at the theater, then we went back to my room and were hanging out...one thing led to another and it just sort of happened. :) It was weird, I never really dated at all in HS and then I went from having done nothing to doing everything in a short time! I was totally ready, though, and I have no regrets. I do remember going into the bathroom after he left that night, looking in the mirror and wondering if people would be able to tell just by looking at me. *heh* |
