What are YOU doing...

For Valentines Day that is.

I've never actually done anything, gone anywhere, or (how sad is this) gotten anything. So, I need to live vicariously through others. Ok, I got a card once in 12 year of dating but that was because the boy was trying to make up for something.

I have class until 7:15pm on Valentine's Day. :( I have class all day long on Thursday (from 1pm-7:15). After class, I'd have to quickly run home and shower which means I wouldn't be ready for dinner until like 8:30. My poor boyfriend had made a 7:30 reservation at the Melting Pot without realizing it. He canceled that and, unfortunately, all the other times were taken. So, we're going to a local restaurant that doesn't take reservations. It'll probably be a two hour wait. Can't skip this class either....it's finance. yuck!

Karen! You stole my topic, I was just going to start a thread on that. ;)

Me and my single (and loving it) sisters are going to a game that night.

"Toby"(refering to that guy in my "Help!" thread) asked if he can give me a V-day card. That sort of confirms that wants to be more than friends with me. Darn it!

Sorry! I am doing nothing. Well, I may go get a manicure and pick up my alterations but that counts as nothing. Boy has class that night and isn't up on V-day anyway. My friends have conventional boys and will be going to dinner.


When I was single, we'd always get the girls together, make a rule not to wear red, and have an awesome meal somewhere.

I am helping the President of ADPi put up fliers around campus because she is running for student body president and then I'm going out with some single sisters to Thunder From Down Under hehe.. (Can't wait to see some Australian hunnies!!) We're soo excited.

I'll be working on V-Day

I am being auctioned off to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Of course, I am crushed because the guy I really wanted to come bid on me told me last night that he "has other plans." I am super-nervous that I will just stand up there looking like an idiot and noone will bid.

I'll be at home alone. My other half will be at work untill 11. Yippee.

I'll be working too!!! I'll be working at a fundraiser for the College of Ag that night. My sorority usually helps out so I decided to give my sisters that have guys or have plans a break. I have nothing better to do!!! Other than that...I'll be going to bed early because I have to be up and at work for 5 am the next day. :(

Back in the day, my sorority had a genuine "Valentine's Day Curse" - a lot of couples broke up around V-day. One year, there were about 5 breakups (in a chapter of only about 12 sisters!) in the week leading up to V-day - I was one of about 2 or 3 sisters still in a relationship on V-day... and two days later, we broke up too!

The following year, I was dating my future husband, and I warned him about the Valentine's Day curse. Thankfully it didn't strike again :D

I dont think Im doing anything I have to work late*I babysit and the parents wanna go out* so I dont even know when I'll be done but I want to do something b/c I dont have class on Fridays :) my friend Mat may make me dinner :)

Well, considering that LAST year my THEN boyfriend stood me up for V-Day because he had a business meeting....Grrrr! (I was planning on cooking him a pasta dinner with dessert at his house & we were going to watch a video)....
I will be alone & lonely this V-Day, doing what I do on most other days... watching TV or surfing the internet. Guys SUCK! :rolleyes: Instead of worrying about random dates, I am ONLY going to wait around for "Mr.Right", because I don't want to waste my time with a guy who isn't a potential future husband. My way of figuring it recently is, if he's out there, he can find ME. :D

Ive never done anything for valentines day either so Thursday will be depressing for me. This thursday I have class from 11:30 to 4, then I have student government that evening. So i guess i will be doing something on valentines day.

Ok top these depressing Valentines plans: I am having dinner with my parents - how romantic lol. I also plan on being bitter all day long, and giving dirty looks to all my friends who are getting flowers this week. Bah! :(

Well I will be sitting at home, maning the phones doing BADD duty (Brothers Against Drunk Driving) keeping my bros safe. So if anyone wants to keep me company ;) lol just let me know

I have school during the day (till about 2:30) then I'm coming home and cooking my husband a nice big V-day dinner......homemade bread, salad, a fondue and some kind of dessert (I haven't decided yet what dessert to make....maybe my fave of chocolate covered strawberries!!!)

We're gonna have some wine, watch the Men's free skate on NBC and then.....well, you know.....;)

It is Valentine's day after all...it's like the prom.....guaranteed action night for any couple! LOL!!!!:D:D

Sarah...I know how you feel. I'm sure the only gift I get on V-Day will be from my dad. He's gotten pretty good about getting me a gift since he knows that I never have a bf on V-Day. Other than that...I'm gonna be bitter all day long too. I got let down really hard the other day so I'm not looking forward to V-Day this year. I got invited to a Bitter Valentine's Day party so if you want directions just let me know. LOL.

So many places are only taking reservations here if you agree to their "one price per couple" package - it usually runs about $75+! :eek::eek:

We might just try our luck with a "first come, first serve" place and get on the call ahead list and then not leave until we're almost ready to be seated.

After that, a gift exchange, and probably back to my place for some cuddling and dessert. :)

I'll be working-just fine with me, Valentines day-blah!!!

I'll be at an audition. Acting is my only love. Haha.
