Ach! This is one of my favorite shows, and I can't believe they're doing a sorority! I had that exact same Idea...I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool if we "traded rooms" with one of the other sororities? But then I realized our House Corp would go crazy if our formal sitting room got painted bright red or something! I'll look forward to the episode, thanks for the tip!

BrownEyedGirl, I disagree. I think Paige Davis is as cute as she can be. They did a wedding special on her a few weeks back. She used to be in the Beauty and the Beast tour and met her husband there. His name is Patrick Page so her married name is now Paige Page, how funny! Anyway I think she's great. Love that show, but I have seen some crazy houses. Did anyone see the bedroom swap where one was done with a chocolate brown wall and a gold vaulted ceiling and they put pasted pattern paper (from sewing patterns) on the wall in the dressing area. It was pretty hideous. I have seen some cute and innovative ideas on that show. The sorority episode should be really fun.

I liked Alex McCloud much better than this new host. lol. There are certain designers that I would never let in my residence. I think Vern does a great job. Sorry for not knowing names, but the hippie chick is awful!

Have you all seen the rock that Paige's husband got her? WOW! It has to be at least 2-3 karats!

I've actually seen Trading Spaces and couple times. It's OK, but it *does not* compare at all to the show from England's BBC called "Changing Rooms." Trading Spaces is an American version based on the English program. Changing Rooms is way funnier and has better designing. Has anyone seen Changing Rooms? My cable company offers the BBC America channel which airs it nightly.

But yeah, it would be really cool to watch that episode. Someone brought up a good point, the designers would probably be very limited in what colors and stuff they could use in a sorority house. I'm sure they're going to do a lot stuff related to storage areas and what not. I'm gonna note the day (Feb 20th) so that I can watch it!

I have become addicted to this show. It's funny, but usaully Everyone is fairly happy eith the way the rooms turn out, but I saw one recently they did in the Seattle area where the woman took one look at the room a left crying! :eek: I would be a little wary abour having some of those decorators in a sorority house.. but I think that if they totally screw up, they probably do the room the way if should be.

I have seen changing rooms on the BBC. I like trading spaces better. But I watch both whenever I get the chance!

At first I was upset that Alex McLeod left the show, but Paige is growing on me. :) My fav designers are Vern, Hildy and the redhead (drawing a blank on her name!)

SigKap, I saw the episode you were talking about. I felt so badly for her, I just wanted to die! I can't even imagine what it must have been like to have been in the room when that happened. For those who missed that episode, they didn't turn the woman's mike off and you could easily hear her sobbing. LOUDLY. :(

Did any of y'all see the Trading Spaces episode a few weeks ago where the woman got extremely irate about the way her bedroom looked after it was redone? I was shocked that she would be so rude on TV. (And, personally, I thought the room looked great! I would love to take it off her hands!) :)

I love that show too...but I think I like Alex better. I think most of the designers are pretty good. Lori (the redhead) might be my favorite...but really the only one I would NEVER let into my house would be Doug. Some of his stuff is just...:eek: Looking forward to seeing the sorority house episode....but hopefully I will have a JOB by then and won't be able to watch it :)

I believe that Trading Spaces is on at 4 pm eastern time on TLC.

I love the show, but I'll never forget the time some stupid designer put moss on the walls in one man's bedroom..sort of like a batchelor pad!!

FYI, during the week they will have repeats. And sometimes the Saturday night show is on Sunday!

I love that show too! I think it'll be awesome and hopefully, they will do more sorority/fraternity house makeovers afterwards! It'll be interesting for us to see how other people set up there houses too... But did you see the one where they put moss all over one of the walls! I would have HATED that if it were my house!!

I couldn't believe that either...that was Genovive's work. She's probably my least favorite...or maybe Frank too if it were for my house, because he's a little too "country" for me. I don't like roosters and plaid, personally...but some of his stuff is cute just not for me :) Vern is my favorite, and I like a lot of Lori and Hilde's stuff too! I agree with whoever said Doug is a bit "out there"..ech. lol okay just my two cents...

i love this show too! i agree about the moss roo. although it was very pretty in a magazine type of way, who would actually want to water their wall? stupid. anyway, for those of you asking about alex's departure, i heard she left because she got a movie deal (which probably means we will never see her again). I can't wait to see this episode! thanks for letting us know it is coming!

That show is awesome... my roomates are obssesed with it! And I'm so dissappointed to learn that they are already doing greek housing! We were going to write in and see if we could "trade spaces" with the sorority chapter across the street from us! Oh well, maybe they'll still be interested. I can't wait to see the episode everyone is talking about!

I think Paige is better, but I really don't like her that much either. I am SOOOO glad they are doing a greek Trading Spaces. Who is everyone's fave designer?? Mine is DEFINATELY Genivive. She rocks and she looks like my best friend, Megan, so it's pretty cool! I also really like the asian designer (I apologize, I can't remember his name and my roomates and I called him "that designer") Frank is ok too. I really don't like Laurie. I think she gets too weird and she is really crabby to the people she is working with. Ty is SOOOOOOO hot tho!!!!

My Diamond Sis loves that show! So today I saw her and I told her all about what I had seen on GC and on the 20th I'm going over to her house at 4pm so we can watch it =) We're soo excited hehe.

YEAH!! I like Vern!

I totally love trading spaces...i've gotten into it ever since i broke my knee! By far my favorite is Vern...my least fav. is Hildy, Whats with her taking down everyones cieling fans all the time?

I can not stand Hildy! She is so weird. She is like "I'm an artist, I dont care what the homeowners think"! She comes off very snobbish on some of the shows. I love Vern, Frank, and Doug though. They are awesome!

Did anyone see the room that Doug did that looked like a Train car? HIDEOUS!

Hildy has some good ideas, but she gets kinda snippy with people.

I have to agree with whomever said that Ty is hot. Although I love Amy Wynn because its awesome that a girl is a carpenter!

Love this show. Watched the marathon this weekend, and some of the stuff they did was so cool. I have decided that while Hildy can be annoying, she does a nice job with stuff. Vern is by far the nicest, and Frank. Now Doug on the other hand...did you see what he did with the one room turning it into the home theater?? Oh, it was terrible...and he was such a jerk. He totally pawns everything off on the homeowners. I really like Genevieve as well. So whose houses are they doing???

Ok, so after watching the marathon this weekend (yes i did see the "train car"...it looked more like a train wreck!) I had a very odd thought. Why are the designers always wearing the same clothes they wore on the first day on the second day????

I love Trading Spaces. Whew -Hew!!! Amy Wyn and Vern are the best.

Did you see when Hildy painted that couch pink, the horror. I don't think it was an accident the cover blew-off and it got soaked in the rain. I think that man saw he had a chance when it began to rain, went out there and tore that covering off.

For those of you on the west, I checked and TLC is airing the program at 4pm PST. Though, when I checked the program description, it only said "Santa Clara: Lafayette Street." Is this the one? It doesn't say anything about a sorority house.
