Who gets more girls? The Kappas or the Ques?

I wanted to be a Kappa, but they kept giving me the runaround and later rejected me. I then decided to pledge Alpha, but they didn't get as many girls as the Kappas did so I decided against them. But the Ques seem to get an equal amount of girls that the Kappas get. I'm not pledging because of the girls but I do want the undergrad experience. I'm thinking about being a Que Dog, but I don't know any of them. Has anyone ever had a tough time choosing their glo? How did you choose? Who do you think gets more girls? The Kappas or the Ques?

I was actually being serious. You folks play too much so it's hard to get serious greek life questions answered.

The responses are letting you know that "Who gets more girls?" is not a serious question.

Sadly, I think your user name may be one you'll have no need to update.

LAblondeGPhi 11-14-2014 12:06 PM

Hrm - do the Kappas get more girls because they're Kappas, or because Kappas only take badasses to begin with? And they rejected you. Consider that it's the quality of the men that contribute to the reputation, not vice-versa.

I don't have first-hand knowledge of most NPHC groups, so I'm not qualified to even be able to answer your question with the snark I suspect it deserves. That said, as a woman, I can vouch that most "girls" are more attracted to the guys who don't need a specific affiliation to be attractive.

Most are having a hard time with the possibility that anyone could really be so clueless.

^ Best.Answer.Ever. So true.

As someone who is not a member of an NPHC, I have to ask something. Is it normal to "shop around" like this guy seems to be doing? He went from Kappa, to Alpha, and now he is looking at Omega Psi Phi. I didn't think that was looked upon too favorably.

Clearly we need more intake stories! The few I've read here have been awesome, and I'd love it if any more of the regulars wanted to post a retro story sometime.

Sigma Nus, Kappas, Ques, and the rest of the weaker males get the Alpha Male left-overs.

Guys generally pledge a fraternity to attract more girls. That's not 100-percent the reason, but it's about 90-percent of it.

So the (clueless) guy who was a junior in August 2009 and apparently had been cut by Kappa one time still needs help "getting girls."

Or is it the guy who was a senior in November 2009 and had been cut by Kappa three times who needs help?

Or maybe it's the guy who's still on campus somewhere and has been cut by Kappa twice* who needs help?

*Yes, I know aspirant could be a grad student now. But that would mean it's too late to get the undergrad experience he says in this thread he wants.

Sure.

Fool, I sat out of school for a few years. Are you even Greek?

Kevin 11-14-2014 04:29 PM

Aspirant, I think what most of us are amazed about here is just the question you asked... it is for the lack of a better word, ignorant. It seems that you believe that women will give you sex more often if you have certain letters on. Said belief is wrong and offensive on a lot of levels.

elicampbell 11-14-2014 04:30 PM

We have a winner.

SigEps get all the women.:D

Yes. Unlike you, apparently.

So how did sitting out for a few years convert 2009-10 from your junior year to your senior year between August and November? And what did you sit out exactly, your last semester of your senior year?

You've already answered your own question. You believe that guys join frats to get women. So your first choice (based on what you believe about fraternities), was Kappa Alpha Psi. So you believe that we get more women. I'm not disagreeing with you, because we do get all the babes. Our stereotype didn't just appear out of the blue, lol. I was just pointing out the way your posts read.

For realz? I've seen some butt-ugly Kappas who swear up and down they fit the Kappa stereotype.

That must be why 90% of your original post mentions girls.

It's not. As with just about any Greek org, membership is a lifetime commitment. It is wise to look at each org thoroughly and decide which one is for you...BEFORE you make your interest known to that org. Expressing interest in one then hopping to another can definitely be a nice, clean shot in the foot.

Ah! Thought I was right about that but, wanted to make sure by asking actual members of the NPHC. This just seems in bad form for this guy. Good luck with that shot in the foot, OP.

Because I only needed a few more credits to become a senior.

I don't have to be a member of an organization to know why people join a particular organization. Any idiot knows that.

So does that mean you were lying in November 2009 when you said "I'm a senior now"? Three months after saying "I'm starting my junior year this fall"?

You're probably not in a social organization. Those non-social organizations don't count.

No I wasn't lying. I said I was a senior because I was about to be and at the time I was thinking it didn't make sense to keep trying when I was close to graduating. At the time I didn't know funds were going to get tight so I had no idea I was going to sit out again.

Join a real organization. Phi Mu Alpha doesn't count. When I asked you if you were Greek, I was talking about social organizations.

Wrong twice.

First, you said "I am a senior" when you were only "about to be" a senior. And you were "about to be" a senior only three months after "starting your junior year." Based on what you're saying now, you knew you were not yet a senior. You were lying. And for no reason, apparently.

And second, Phi Mu Alpha is a social fraternity, not to mention a "real organization," your opinion notwithstanding. And any idiot knows that the guys who can make music and serenade the best get the most girls. Sheesh.
