This is really strange.. all of the Royals fans on my social media suddenly exist? I guess the Royals are good this year?

Kevin, it's true there are a lot of frontrunners who have come out of the woodwork in KC. I have been a Cubs fan FOREVER and became a Royals fan when I moved to KC in the 90's. While living in the Middle East I followed both. Moving to Orange County I tried to get behind the Angels but I just couldn't make myself care. So coming back to the Midwest, and feeling a bit like my ex got the Cubs in the divorce (not that it mattered but divorce makes you think weird things), I began to focus my attention on the Royals. And, you know, I moved back and they won. Just sayin. You're welcome, Kansas City.

Well, we all know that I bleed Cardinal red. It's not looking good for us, but we are the Comeback Cards! So I still have FAITH. But if we lose, I'll be cheering on the Royals! :)

(And DubaiSis, I won't even start with my Cubs jokes. lol)

The Cubs are their own punch line so there's no point. The Royals, on the other hand are no joke. And these guys are just one heart warming story every day. Did you hear Paul Rudd invited EVERYONE (meaning the city) to his mom's house for a party? I think that's awesome. But after the players last week covered the entire bar tab at a bar, I think some people feel like it's ok to be generous as they celebrate.

I didn't hear how the party went at Paul's mom's house, by the way. I'm sure it was a hoot.

The Giants are going to be going all the way this year. Please! Having been a Giants fan since God was a baby; and freezing my a$$ off in that godforsaken excuse of a ball park known as Candlestick for way too many years, I have to say that.

Excited for this WS, I think it's going to be so much fun for both teams' fans. Then I have to suffer until college baseball starts in February. I'll just hibernate again.

I love San Francisco and I love the rivalry here. There are some cities that I would just want to destroy or be DEVASTATED if we lost to, but that's not the case against SF. From one foodie city to another, it's all good! Or it will be in a couple weeks when we #takethecrown #beroyal :D

Seriously - side conversation - Tom -you are correct, the COL in The City is way beyond my means too and I grew up in the Bay Area. My mom was born in The City. My grandmother was in the 1906 quake and told us many stories about it.

KC Barbeque is tasty, I'm going to enjoy it. Orange and black is in style any time of year, you gotta just believe! Although it isn't in my color wheel (orange) and I do love royal blue. It makes my eyes super blue.

It appears that my viewing dates for the Wednesday night game are going to be my best friend and our pedicurist. 1-gotta love a pedicurist who delivers and 2-gotta love watching the Royals beat up on the Giants while my tootsies are getting a soak.

My Pandora beads (other than the ones that are color coordinated) are all travel related. I wear a necklace with airplanes and suitcases. And I have a bracelet that is all double blue and gold Murano glass beads (well, knock offs, but who's counting?)

My big problem is I really only have one blue shirt I can get away with wearing to work. Do I have to go shopping to be in blue every day?

The Kansas City fountains are always beautiful (we are the City of Fountains after all) but all flowing blue they are especially pretty.

Oh trust me, we heard ALL ABOUT THAT. The radio stations were making a huge deal of it here. They were also trying to stir up some shit. The fans were all like, hey, be true to your school. Of course they shouldn't be playing that song right now.

Did they mention that the actual KC Royals were the trigger for the song? The story goes that she saw a picture of George Brett in a Royals jersey and thought of the song. Earlier this year they made a big deal of her meeting George when she was in concert here.
