Magic Kingdom Fairytale

Hello everyone! I've browsed these threads sometimes and I'm excited to share my rush story!

I rushed last year and things turned out less than desirable. I really wanted to be in a sorority though. I wanted to be involved in campus, to raise money for a philanthropy, to make great friendships, to hang out with frats, and to be a part of, what I perceive to be, an amazing network of men and women across the country and even continent. I have a pretty high GPA for college and was really involved in sports in high school.

I went in this time with a really open mind. I was already aware of "tiers" and tent talk and I already knew which ones I liked from last year. I also finally realized that "perceived great house" does not equal "great house for me."

For orientation we sat in a big auditorium and I happened to sit next to this girl Massie. We talked about school and rushing and she's a legacy at one (her parents met through Greek life at our school). I told her some of my stories from last year, hoping she would learn from it and keep an open mind, even with a legacy!

Turns out we were in the same Rho Chi group! And her last name was right in front of mine haha. Mad cool. We also met our Rho Chi's. They all seem really cool and nice. I'm not going to lie, I immediately stalked which sororities they were in. I already knew I was favorable to all three.

At our school we have four rounds, open house, first round, second round, and preference night.

I went to Disney World recently so I decided to make my codes by some attractions and entertainment at Magic Kingdom.

Mad Tea Party
Peter Pan's Flight
Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid
Enchanted Tales with Belle
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Haunted Mansion
Mickey's PhilharMagic
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
"it's a small world"
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room
Tom Sawyer Island
Monsters , Inc. Laugh Floor
Stitch's Great Escape
#INCREDIBLESSuperDanceParty
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade
Tomorrowland Arcade

Feel free to ask any questions as they come up! Also feel free to gush/obsess over Disney World with me! However, I'd like to keep my school a secret so if you know it, please do not post about it until I reveal it.

You should definitely go!

The first round was open houses. We went to nine sororities; three, break, three, break, and final three. The rounds were pretty short but I felt like the conversation was never too difficult nor were there that many basic conversations like what my major was (which happened a lot last year). Just a reminder, Massie is the first girl I met at orientation and the girl in front of me in line.

I know we don't like tiers here, but they exist, and they were present in my head. I didn't really let them make my choice but I'll put some info in just to be honest and because it's interesting in my opinion. I didn't tell any of the other PNM's rankings or my preferences, and the girl to the other side of me (not Massie) was especially focused on getting a top one (I kept trying to tell her to focus on the girls she liked the most but I'm not sure she listened. She is a sweetheart though).

Space Ranger Spin - It wasn't bad, had good conversations. I don't remember that much. One of my friends at A&M is in this sorority. I really liked this one last year even though it's sort of lower tiered. Also my old manager was one of these hahaa.

Enchanted Tales with Belle - The girls we talked to were nice and preppy. I saw my old neighbor from freshman year (who is drop-dead gorgeous and extremely nice). Massie didn't particularly like this one, which surprised me since it was top tier.

Haunted Mansion - We talked to two girls, very nice but not the best connection. Second girl we talked to was gorgeous! I also really liked this one last year. Middle tier and also the house of one of my Rho Chi's.

Laugh Floor - This was the first time I had a conversation without Massie. Talked to one really sweet girl who was a bit nervous I think because she messed up a few of her first questions. But I asked her a lot of questions and eventually we had a good conversation about the type of music she liked. I really really really liked this house, this year and last. A middle tier, and another house of a Rho Chi.

Journey of The Little Mermaid - The girls didn't switch so we only talked to one girl the entire time. I felt like the girl didn't pay much attention to me, but more on Massie. I asked a lot of questions to keep the conversation going. Massie really liked this one. I didn't, but I didn't tell her I didn't. Upper middle tier and predominantly Jewish.

Enchanted Tiki Room - Massie and I talked with one girl the entire time. She was very nice and we particularly liked their name tags. This is one of the top tiers. My friend joined this one her sophomore year after dropping out her freshman year (Freshman year she got the "lowest three" sororities. I didn't see her though.

Incredible's Dance Party - Massie was a legacy here, same campus, so we had a lot of girls coming to us. At one point we were talking with three girls which was sort of amusing. One of them was really into theater and we had a good conversation about Disney haha. Another upper tier and I knew a girl from here who was very beautiful and kind as well.

Tomorrowland Arcade - I only remember the color of their shirts. I think it was good. Middle tier.

Tom Sawyer Island - I was a legacy here but different campus. It was nice but not amazing. Another Rho Chi house. Top tier.

All in all not a bad day. Long, but enough breaks. Everyone was nice and I really like my Rho Chi's. I'm probably wearing the same outfit tomorrow since everyone has to wear the same recruitment shirt and I'm not seeing the same sororities anyhow.

Throughout the day I almost felt like a Rho Chi myself. I would answer some other PNM questions and it was interesting watching these girls go through what I went through last year. I was a little jealous because they were mostly freshman, but I like my Rho Chi group overall.

Hope you enjoy (and continue to enjoy) and have a magical day!

Is it common to be paired with the same fellow PNM from your group at most/all of the parties during the first round?

I would say yes because the first day was on a weekend and most of the girls did not have conflicts for class. Also we were near the beginning of our group so I'm guessing most of the one-on-ones were near the end when the sorority sisters could tell they had enough of them to match with us.

Edit: Also, I would say there were ~30 girls (maybe a little less, also had to include traveling time for sorority sisters switching conversation partners) for 45-50 PNM's so most were double rushed.

Space ranger spin is one of my favorite rides(although I am terrible at it).

Same, it was also one of the sororities I really had my eye on! I want to learn how to get the 999,999 score!

OneandDone 09-15-2014 09:32 PM

On to the next day! Still open houses. I always had a nice long time to get ready which was really relaxing.

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom - The sorority girl greeted me and it turned out I knew her! We thought it was hilarious and it was really good seeing her and seeing how much she loved her sorority because last year she was hesitant to join. Lower tier, and known for taking everyone. I know in the past people would purposely be rude or not make conversation but I didn't really see that happening, which was good.

Mad Tea Party - We had two really really peppy girls and we talked about vacations. These girls are upper-middle and I don't really know much about them but they seemed really nice.

Peter Pan's Flight - I was surprised, but we had really good conversations. This is an upper tier sorority and the girls are known to be "bitchy" but both the girls we spoke to were very sweet.

Stitch's Great Escape - Don't remember much other than the shoes they were wearing. Last year their parties seemed very hectic and unorganized but it seemed a lot better this year. Middle/lower tier.

"it's a small world" - This is the first and only time there were three of us in a group (Massie, I, and another girl). I knew a girl last year who joined and dropped even though it's middle-upper. I've also heard these girls are "bitchy" as well but they seemed fine.

Magic Carpets - Not bad, don't remember much. One of my friends at Ole Miss is in this sorority, so I sort of wanted to be in it just to have that connection. Middle/lower tier and a few friends from last year joined, but there was also a girl in there who I really didn't care for (I'm not sure how she felt about me, neutral at best).

Festival of Fantasy - I was by myself not with Massie and I only talked to one girl but I didn't feel any connection. She kept looking away and our conversation was not very smooth. A lot of question/answer, so sort of like an interview but a little more informal. She seemed disinterested in both me and her sorority. Middle tier.

PhilharMagic- Don't remember much, not super impressed. Middle tier, and one of the "Jewish" sororities (of course a lot of non-Jewish girls as well!)

We had to rank our four lowest, 1. the one we wouldn't mind going back to, and 4. we would like to go back to the least. I felt like I didn't really get to know all the sororities too well so I wouldn't really care getting my bottom back. Also since I rushed last year I was really going to be happy with anything I got back, especially this early in the game. I ranked:

1. Enchanted Tales with Belle
2. Stitch's Great Escape
3. Festival of Fantasy
4. Journey of The Little Mermaid

All the new girls were excited to rank for the first time (and confused as well). I think there was some tent talk already going on but not much. I think a lot of girls genuinely had no idea which were the "good" sororities which I thought was great! I really wasn't sure what I was going to wear the next day so that was on my mind as well.

AnchorAlumna 09-16-2014 01:17 PM

Please.
I'm turning blue now.

I'm curious, what did you do/perceive this year that was different from last year in terms of keeping an open mind? You still seem to have tiers in your mind.

I am more open minded, I am just putting the tiers for extra info. If you guys don't think this is necessary/harms the story/is unwanted information, I will edit it and no longer mention it!

I based all my opinions on how I felt at the parties and a little on the people I knew closely in the sorority (not some random girls in classes or a sorority girl who I knew of but never talked to.)

Since this is an after the fact story, it would be great if you would just go ahead and post the complete story. There is no need to upset the interested by continuing to post as if your story is just now unfolding. We have short attention spans.

Yes! Thank you!
Now I'm turning purple!

I love Disney World!
My favorite thing to do is use the back entrance to Epcot (near the Yacht Club Resort) and start the day out in the France pavillion with a chocolate croissant and an adult grape juice.

FSUZeta 09-17-2014 03:04 PM

ChioLu, we like to enter Epcot that way too (and stay at the Beach or Yacht club so we can enjoy that awesome pool).

You could park at the Yacht Club -- for FREE -- and walk thru the hotel. (A Disney PR person gave me that info.) Save the 20 bucks for beverages in Epcot. Don't know if you can still park there and "act" like you're a hotel guest nowadays.

Sadly no. You cannot park there without checking in at the guard house.

Adult grape juice... love it! I love when you see adults trying to "drink around the world."

My best guess for free parking is Downtown Disney but it's definitely a hassle.

Thanks for the heads-up. Too many of these threads get started, then abandoned, so at least now we know to expect the rest next month. And it's probably better to update this thread rather than start a new one.

Here we go!!!

OneandDone 10-11-2014 03:19 PM

This next round was first rounds and it showed their philanthropy. They would show a video (usually) and we would do a little craft or activity based on the philanthropy. The times were short though (not as short) just like open houses.

I got my list back and I got:

Journey of The Little Mermaid
Haunted Mansion
PhilharMagic
Space Ranger Spin
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
Tom Sawyer Island
Laugh Floor
Tomorrowland Arcade

Getting back eight out of 13 wasn't ideal but I wasn't overly upset either. I did get a little jealous of people with full schedules, but I kept reminding myself I was rushing the second time and it only takes one sorority in the end to find your home.

I was really really excited to get back Haunted Mansion and Laugh Floor. I was also pretty surprised about Journey of The Little Mermaid since I thought it went so badly for me there. If I wasn't a legacy Tom Sawyer Island would have surprised me as well. The rest I wasn't surprised about/neutral towards. I was excited for Space Ranger Spin but not surprised since I got sort of far with them last year.

My first day I only had two parties, one at the first time slot and one at the last. They were the "top" and "bottom" chapters.

Tom Sawyer Island - Not bad, was nervous but also didn't see myself here. The conversation flowed pretty well but nothing really special. Their philanthropy video was cute though and the same as last years. All in all the ladies were well put together.

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom - I talked to three girls, the first was sort of awkward, the second didn't really seem to care what I had to say, the third girl was really cool. The craft we made was cute and a good conversation piece. I also felt like it was useful and not just something like, "color on this sheet of paper since we have to do an activity."

It was nice having an easy day, and I enjoyed being on my own schedule, even though I missed Massie a little! The outfit I wore I wasn't really confident in so I was looking for another for the next day of first rounds. All in all I thought I was doing fine. Better than last year but perhaps not "StrawberryGloss" so. I could definitely tell my attitude was way better and it was a lot easier to make conversation. However, I think I was a bit reserved about really expressing how much I wanted to be in a sorority because I was afraid of failure, especially when talking to my friends after each round.

Next day of first rounds! I had a new outfit and jewelry and was a lot more confident! I had four parties today, and none of them I was really nervous for. Out of them all, Space Ranger Spin was the one I was looking forward to the most.

PhilharMagic - Girl we talked to was really pretty and had an ongoing conversation but it was not natural and a little strained. The activity they planned was original. Someone I knew joined this one last year and by the end of the semester she said she didn't really like it or felt like she fit in.

Journey of The Little Mermaid - Was with someone in my Rho Chi group, so it was nice to see a familiar face. This girl was very conscious about getting a "top house" though, and was very excited with the girl who was rushing mentioned getting into frat parties, which is against the rules. After the sorority girl talked about that, the girl I was with was all over them. When I had a longer bout of talking (the sorority girl was really interested in something I did), the girl I was with mentioned how I rushed last year. Turns out this sorority is really into philanthropy which I didn't know and was surprised about, which was nice. Overall I liked them but didn't see myself there and thought my opportunity was shot since I was an upperclassman who rushed again.

Tomorrowland Arcade - Was also with a girl in my Rho Chi group but a different one. I really liked the girl I talked to. Last year a friend in this one got to their pref night and did not like them at all. I didn't really get that vibe from them, and I thought they were sweet.

Space Ranger Spin - I thought this one went really well. The first girl was really nice and seemed like a sweet person. While she was talking to us, another girl came and was soooooooo annoying. She kept going on and on about herself and her major and the things she liked. Finally I was rescued by the third girl we talked to. At this point it was a one-on-one conversation; I don't know who was talking to the PNM I was with. The third girl was very sweet and easy to talk to. It turned out her sister did a program I participated in the past, so we had a lot to talk about. I was really hoping I would get this one back.

Once again, not a bad day, and not extraordinary. I was pleasantly surprised with how Space Ranger Spin ended up, and I was surprised that Journey of The Little Mermaid broke some rushing rules.

The next day I had Haunted Mansion and Laugh Floor, which were two of my favorites from rushing last year and from open houses. I was sooooooooooooo nervous because I really really wanted to make a great impression and get invited back to second rounds.

Laugh Floor - I was beyond anxious for this one and made the mistake of having caffeine with not much food in my system. I was sort of hyper but in the middle of the conversation I could feel my eye twitch! I don't think it was noticeable though, and a little funny. I was by myself again and took that to be a good sign. I talked with two girls about traveling among other stuff. I thought the conversations went really well; hopefully well enough to get to second rounds! The girls I knew in this sorority were really similar to me and I definitely felt this sorority had an uniqueness to it (I know they're all unique but sometimes they get mixed up personally!).

Haunted Mansion - I was really nervous for this one too because I really liked the girls I knew in it, and my impressions on the open house and last year I would fit in here well. I was soooooo excited to go. I really enjoyed their video and the idea of the craft. However, the craft was not good to do with conversing so no one really did it. And the worst part; the conversation was not good for me at all! The other PNM was physically in between me and the sorority girl so I could barely hear the sorority girl. I think the physical set up wasn't the best. Also the other PNM would ask generic questions like major/summer/where you from questions. The sorority girl was a great conversationalist so she could go on even though they were generic questions. Unfortunately I felt like I didn't get much word in, which I regretted. All in all I would be very surprised if I got asked back (surprised and ecstatic though!)

Since you were supposed to put down your lowest five if you had 13 total (leaving a max of eight for next round), I didn't have to choose any bottom ones. It was sort of nice knowing I didn't have to make any decisions.

Side Massie note: I like to write about her since we really went through recruitment together and it was funny how our opinions and experiences differed. But I confided in her the most and her me. Also I felt like an older sister to her during the process.

Massie got a great list back for first rounds, including her legacy Incredible's Dance Party and also Enchanted Tales with Belle and Journey of The Little Mermaid among others. It was funny because she didn't like Incredible's Dance Party open house but liked them first round. And she liked Journey of The Little Mermaid open house but not first round, while I was the opposite! Just something extra to share. :)

Great story, thanks for sharing.

Great.story so far...can't wait to hear about the next round!

For second rounds it was the sisterhood round. Two days combined into one post. I got back three sororities:

Journey of The Little Mermaid
Space Ranger Spin
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom

Again, wasn't too upset. A lot of girls in my Rho Chi were really upset. (Massie only got four, and the only she liked was her legacy Incredible's Dance Party). A lot of girls were crying and thinking of dropping. I tried to convince girls that they should go to the rounds, because I knew a lot of girls dropped last year in between first and second rounds.

It really stank not getting back Haunted Mansion and Laugh Floor since I really really liked them. I wasn't too surprised I didn't get back Tom Sawyer Island even though I was legacy, since I didn't really feel a big connection (although it would have been nice to join the same one my mom was in!). But I was really surprised Journey of The Little Mermaid asked me back but I wasn't complaining.

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom - Talked to two girls here. The first was really nice but talked a little smack about other chapters before backtracking herself. I don't think she meant it cruelly but eh. Second girl was really nice and peppy and seemed to really love her sorority, which I really appreciated. She was someone I would want to be friends with. I don't remember what I talked about with the third girl.
Space Ranger Spin - I like this one but I don't really remember how the conversations went. The video they showed us was cute.
Journey of The Little Mermaid - I was really surprised I Got this one back. I talked by myself with a girl who apparently missed some meeting where they told the sisters what to do during rush so she was a little lost but the conversation went pretty well. I couldn't hear her much but she was really talkative. Their video was well-done and unique; it definitely showed the vibe of their sorority.

Similar to the last round, you were supposed to eliminate five when you had a max of eight, leaving three for preference night. I only had three so didn't have to make any decisions ranking. I hope I get three back so I have more choices and experiences for preference night but what happens happens. My Rho Chi's said that on preference night if you rank all the sororities you get, you are guaranteed a bid. So it's nice to know I will be in a sorority if I get asked back to any of them on preference night.

P.S. I realized how unfortunate I keep getting back Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom due to its color. But I am keeping it for consistency! Hahaha.

Glad you could encourage the other girls in your group. Looking forward to more of your story.

Sciencewoman 10-12-2014 07:10 PM

Sounds like you kept an open mind to all the groups...good decision for your second time through!

Can't wait to hear the rest!

Finally it was here! Preference Night!
I got all dressed up and came in time to get my list. I was really nervous when I got it back. I almost didn't want to open it, you know that feeling?
Well anyways, I opened it and I got back.....

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
(No longer having some of the color now; it's killing my eyes).

I was upset that I only got one but honestly was not that surprised. Even though I loved (or thought I loved) Space Ranger Spin, I obviously didn't have as much as a connection as I hoped since I didn't remember much of their second rounds. And with Journey of The Little Mermaid, I thought they were nice girls but did not really see myself there in most of the rounds. Even though I didn't always have good conversations there, the best connection I had last round was with the second girl in Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, so like I said, it made sense I got that one back.

It's funny because the night before I was wondering what I would do if I had to decide between the three. Honestly, I wasn't sure. Journey of The Little Mermaid is pretty high in rankings and it surprised me that they asked me back last round. The appeal of being in a better house was very large in my "what-if" scenario. Guess it didn't really matter though, because I didn't have a choice.

This house I got back was known as the "bottom" house. A lot of girls were tent talking about it and it sort of made me mad. Like who's to say that one sorority is better than another when no one is even in one yet? Also there's the social stigma, which I was well aware of and trying my best to ignore. I did want to be in Greek life though. If last semester and the summer taught me anything it was that I wanted to be in a sorority.

I still wasn't sure if I wanted to be in Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom though. It was comforting to know that if I ranked them, I would get them. So I had a guarantee of getting in a sorority, which is what I wanted. Although I was unsure, I made the obvious decision of going to their pref party and see if I felt better about them as whole.

I don't remember what time my party was, but I had time to go home and relax. When it was time, I got ready and went to wait to enter Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.

The room was really beautifully decorated and the girls looked really nice. They had yummy treats and we got paired one-on-one with a sorority girl. I hadn't met the girl who preffed me before, but she was very nice. I had friend from freshman year in this sorority. She rushed last year and I remember talking to her on preference night about her rankings. Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom wasn't her number one but she ended up in it and obviously stuck with it. I was looking for her in the room but wasn't sure if she was on shift this preference party.
After everyone got in the room, we all went to the sisters own rooms. There were four pairs of us in the room. One of the other sisters in the pair was the girl I had a good conversation with last round! Again her personality was really bubbly and the strange quasi-group-pair convo we had in the room together was not bad. You could really tell the sisters loved each other and would periodically mention inside jokes.

On the way back to the main room I saw my friend who joined last year. I asked her honestly if she liked it, and she said she loved it. She said she felt like she could truly be herself around her sisters. And that really stuck in my mind. After we went back to the main room a few sisters shared some personal stories. At the end of the party I had an idea of what I was going to do.

Side-Massie note: She got:
Space Ranger Spin
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
Incredible's Dance Party

She disliked Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom and didn't really feel Space Ranger Spin. Her legacy, Incredible's Dance Party, she was in love with and really wanted them back. We talked, and she was considering suiciding. I asked her if she honestly felt like she could be in the other two houses and she said no. Although I wanted her to rank them all, it was her choice and she only ranked Incredible's Dance Party. At least she knew if she didn't get a call she was in!

Your friend might have felt a little safer, knowing the only one she listed was her legacy chapter, and the group might give legacies higher bid list ranking, but I'd still be nervous doing that! Can't wait to hear what happened. With both of you!

She was a legacy at the school too, so I think the thought of not being there after falling in love with it was too much.

So what did I do? I talked to my Rho Chi. Not gonna lie, since I wasn't a freshman, it wasn't hard to know which sorority ]my Rho Chi's were in. My favorite was from Haunted Mansion, and I talked to her. I hadn't cried at all during the process but when I was talking to her I started to cry. Even though I was realistic with the whole process I still obviously wanted to be in a sorority. I wanted to belong to a group and have sisters and do all the fun things that sororities do and just be a part of Greek life as a whole.

After talking with her, I decided to drop. And I honestly would have ranked the one sorority left if for one thing.... that a new sorority was colonizing on campus. I decided I would take my chance with them. Is it shallow that I'd rather take a shot at being in a new sorority than being in the "worst" one? Maybe. But also as someone older it would be cool to be in a new sorority, to be a founder, and to get possible leadership positions right out the bat.

The new sorority's recruitment process ended in October, which is why I couldn't finish my story until now!

While I was talking about formal recruitment, my friend Jane* in my grade became interested. She accidently missed the registration deadline. So as I was going through formal, she was considering the colonization recruitment. By the time I dropped, we decided to go to the information session for the new sorority.

Apparently there were 600 girls who registered for the colonization and/or went to the information meeting, and they only were looking to take 200. This made me worried. Did I screw up my chance of going Greek by not ranking the other sorority? I came into the colonization process thinking it wouldn't be very difficult at all. Regardless, I did my best to say quick hellos to the women from the sorority. It was them I'd have to prove that I deserved to be in their sorority, not girls on campus. I also went to an informal event to talk with some other hopefuls and to say hello again to the sorority consultants (two women from other chapters who recently graduated).

During my interview I was asked pretty basic questions. They went over my resume and I asked a few questions about the philanthropy and leadership positions. I was interviewed by two women. One of them seemed interested, but the other, who was higher up, seemed uninterested. Not unkind, but perhaps bored. On the way out I said a few words to the consultants, trying to be friendly and help them recognize me!

They had another event where we met current sisters from chapters nearby. They were all dressed up and I guess it was a fancy version of second rounds? We talked about everything from leadership to social events to philanthropy. I guess they were getting in as much information as they could! The girls seemed nice and seemed to love their sorority (I think most girls do, though). We didn't have much time with them but I met a girl named Sarah* who I talked to for like 20 minutes before the actual event. She was also my grade and she was a lot more confident about getting in. The next round was preference night and she wasn't even considering the fact that she might not get an invite. Regardless, Sarah seemed sweet!

They told us that we would get an e-mail telling us if we were invited to preference round. We were told not to wait up for the e-mail. Good thing I didn't], because sometime after 2am I got an e-mail from them.

I was invited to preference round!!! I was excited but not tooo surprised. When I entered and left the room from the previous event, the consultants said hello and goodbye, and they didn't say that to everyone. It felt good to know they recognized me and I think they liked me!

My friend Jane also got invited to preference too! She had to buy her dress but I just wore won I wore to a football game earlier that weekend (lol). As they called our names in for preference night, I heard Sarah's name! Yay! She didn't see me yet but it was nice to know there was a familiar face in the room. During preference night they had us talk to current sisters and consultants. The two girls we talked to (there were like four of us PNMs) were very nice. We PNMs didn't get to talk much because they were so talkative and they were from the same chapter so they kept bouncing off each other. They kept talking up the sorority a lot! Even though it was annoying just listening it was really nice to hear all the good stuff they had to say. Another girl came over who I could tell was hilarious and just gave out a cool vibe. During this part I awkwardly took a chocolate they had out to wrap up my gum in. It was really awkward and I should have just swallowed the gum before I entered the room. >.<

Near the end we did a ceremony. It was nice but I didn't get goosebumps or anything. Then we all left and I saw my friend Jane waiting for the next party since her time was scheduled different from mine. She was sort of nervous but I was glad I was done. There was really nothing I could do anymore. Although I really really wanted to get in, I pretty much set myself up for disappointment in the back of my head. Setting my expectations low was a way of not getting overly upset. I guess it's not the best way to cope but this has been a super stressful semester and it was just easier.

Again, they told us not to wait up. Bid day was really quick; the very next day. So I would know when I woke up.

*Names changed

Also! Massie got into her legacy!! Woop woop! She was so happy and I was so happy for her!
