Arkansas recruitment numbers are out. 1462 registered pnm, another record breaking year. Members come back tomorrow and bid day is August 24. Hoping that everyone has a great recruitment week.

Xidelt 08-08-2014 10:45 PM

Anyone have numbers for UGA? This week is work week.

honeychile 08-08-2014 11:03 PM

I feel as if I've written recs for at least half of the UofA women...

gatordeltapgh 08-08-2014 11:24 PM

From UA Facebook

"UA Panhellenic would like to welcome over 2250 PNMs to Fall Formal Recruitment 2014--the largest recruitment in the nation to date! Have a great week ladies!"

The picture of all the women at Convocation is pretty amazing!

Griffins&Quills 08-09-2014 09:53 AM

Jeez. If all 2250 PNMs finished recruitment and signed their pref cards, quota would be at 141. That is A LOT.

trymeplease 08-09-2014 07:12 PM

UT-Austin is reporting 1258 signed up for recruitment this year!

University of Kentucky is pushing 1400 and still just over a week to go for registration. I believe last year we were in the 1200-1300 range.

tcsparky 08-10-2014 07:34 AM

Could you post the picture or a link? I'd love to see that! (Tried looking on Facebook......waaaaayyyyy too many Alabama pages! After checking 15, I kinda gave up.)

Are the general university admissions/enrollment way up this year also? I'm just curious whether there are simply more students, or a higher percentage interested in Greek Life- or a combination of both. The University of Michigan had more students accept their offer of admission than usual and are scrambling to find housing for them all so I suspect sorority recruitment numbers will be up also.

I have looked and searched the site, but I can't find the info. Does anyone know how many PNM's are signed up for recruitment at Texas Christian University and Tarelton State?
Thanks for any info!

Thanks for any info!

TCU registration doesn't close for a few more days, but they are thinking they may hit the 1000 mark.

PhiMu_Mom 08-10-2014 05:25 PM

Thanks so much!

WestcoastWonder 08-10-2014 05:37 PM

The info I have on hand states 899 registered and 854 participating in the first round.

clemsongirl 08-13-2014 08:19 PM

Heard today that Clemson is at 990, and registration doesn't close until August 19th. I believe just over 1000 PNMs registered last year so we may eclipse that number slightly, but not by too much.

UTKALUM 08-14-2014 10:31 AM

Tennessee is up to 997.

clemsongirl 08-14-2014 12:50 PM

Clemson's over 1000 now-I'll post a final number after registration closes.

MaryPoppins 08-14-2014 12:56 PM

Ole Miss is near 1,400 with 3 weeks left before registration closes.

ISUKappa 08-15-2014 12:20 AM

They haven't put out an exact number, but the Iowa State Recruitment twitter account posted a pic of exec members stuffing 850 bags for PNMs, so I'm assuming the projected number is somewhere above 800.

Alpha Phi is participating in Welcome Weekend and will have a room in the Memorial Union in which to host PNMs. I haven't heard any other information on if they've secured housing or land to build.

AZTheta 08-15-2014 06:43 AM

University of Arizona (one of the OTHER UAs)
1500 (give or take)

This is down ~ 500 from last year (and the year before that). Not sure why the dip because this year the freshman class is the largest ever. Possibly b/c Panhellenic is emphasizing GRADES and pnms are actually listening?

I guess I always thought UT's recruitment was way bigger than this.

No...it's actually grown larger over the past few years...up from 750-800ish. Huge school, where greek life is only a VERY small part of what is going on on campus.

Griffins&Quills 08-15-2014 03:44 PM

Georgia Tech has around 450 registered. Small compared to the other huge numbers on this thread, but the numbers have been steadily growing the last few years.

Raksobelle 08-17-2014 11:18 AM

I heard that the University of S.C. had 1655 register. Round 1 is over with Round 2 starting tomorrow.

So cool (and odd) that they are taking pics during the parties!

tootiepie2 08-17-2014 09:43 PM

LSU has over 1200

Griffins&Quills 08-17-2014 10:11 PM

A lot of cool lawn letters at Arkansas, but Kappa's mirror letters are really unique! I also love Alpha Chi Omega's polished look!

Just interested 08-17-2014 10:20 PM

Texas A&M's numbers are official and closed at 1354 registered. It will be interesting to see how many actually go to convocation and walk through the door for open house. Last year 1025 started the process with Open House. 12 chapters on campus.

Griffins&Quills 08-17-2014 10:24 PM

Oh and Alabama actual was 2276 registered

TNAuburnMom 08-17-2014 10:34 PM

Auburn has said that they have the largest freshman class in school history.

Yes, but a great tool to show girls what the rush parties are really like. I would be willing to bet there isn't a girl alive who thinks the rush parties look like that - girls crammed in, you sitting awkwardly on a chair while the member sits on the floor but needs to be awkwardly on her knees because she can't hear you without being that close...
