Best National Website?

Alright since we started a prettiest badge....how about what NPC/NIC/NPHC?MC/Local (geez that was a lil ong) National org has the best wesbite. And as with bagde on...no voting for your own! ;)

LexiKD 01-29-2002 02:52 PM

I haven't looked at them all, but I have seen many and I feel that XO's is very pretty and easy to get around.

KD's is pretty awesome too!

UMgirl 01-29-2002 02:59 PM

I have to agree with ya Lexi, I like Chi-O's site too. My ranking was...

1. Chi-O
2. A Chi O (I love the scrolling pics at the top)
3. AZD
4. Gamma Phi
5. AOPi

But of course AGD will always be the real number one for me :D

xo_sue 01-29-2002 03:03 PM

I remember being blown away by AOPi's web site awhile ago- I thought it was really neat and didn't it have a section for parents too? Thought that was a neat addition.

Corbin Dallas 01-29-2002 03:08 PM

What about Internationals? :) just kidding. even though they get on our case all the time for referring to them as nationals sans inter, we can't help it, even though there have been canuck chapters for some 70 years, older than many chapters. anyway, we just had a redesign on our IHQ website not too long ago, and I think it's pretty sweet. www.lambdachi.org

shadokat 01-29-2002 03:09 PM

Alpha Sigma Tau has an awesome website that's really easy to navigate and is very pleasing to the eye. Pi Phi's is good as well, and D Phi E's, although I can't vote for my own :)

FuzzieAlum 01-29-2002 03:21 PM

I found Gamma's site really hard to navigate. My votes go for the sites that are quickest to put up new information ... I don't like it when I hear that a sorority has a new chapters months before I see it on their site.

I'd vote for
Kappa Alpha Theta
A Phi
Alpha Chi
Sigma Kappa
AOP

BTW, the College Fraternity Editor's Association gave AOP first place for best web site and A Phi second - for all major Greek groups.

NeonPi 01-29-2002 03:25 PM

FYI on AOII 's website - it is all in-house designed and written by the web team at HQ, not by a design company .... (I working with the web-team on the redesign of the private side as we speak!)

AOII also just put up a virtual tour of our new Headquarters (quite fun!)

For the most up-to-date iformation, I would have to say Delta Upsilon's is right up there - very current content (since I can't vote for my own :) . For women, I like the current content of Kappa Alpha Theta as well.

amycat412 01-29-2002 03:41 PM

I like Kappa Alpha Theta's site the best, with Tri Delta a close second. I like Alpha Chi Omega's site too.

I find Chi O's site too light on content.

dzrose93 01-29-2002 03:45 PM

I think Kappa Delta's website is very user-friendly. I love Kay D. who helps sisters move around the site. :)

KillarneyRose 01-29-2002 04:12 PM

I'm really impressed with Delta Gamma's and Zeta Tau Alpha's national websites. They really have a lot of information on the site, including symbols, colors, etc.

I feel disloyal, but I'm less than impressed with Delta Zeta's national website. I feel they could make it so much more interesting than it is now.

KillarneyRose,

I feel the same way. The site has been improved over the past year or so, but I still feel like it could be a little more "user-friendly". I think there is too much small print, which is a turn-off to many people. :(

suntzu1963 01-29-2002 04:18 PM

Without voting on my own

Omega Psi Phi
Alpha Phi Alpha
Alpha Kappa Alpha
Omega Phi Beta

These would be my favorities (not in order). I still have to say that ours is beautiful though. And I look forward to seeing Sigma Gamma Rho's new website when its launched in Feb. They have some other connected sites that are very nice as well.

Beta Theta Pi

This is a pretty nice one.

The1calledTKE 01-29-2002 04:22 PM

Alpha Gam's website is very good. From what I hear they have an excelent member site. I think I remember liking ADPi's website too. LXA's website is one of the best for the guys.

HeidiHo 01-29-2002 04:25 PM

I agree that XOs is a little "light on content". That's a good description. I like to see the badge and other sybols easily & I don't find that on our's. I know they're been some that I've like but can't think of any offhand. I'll surf around and get back to this one.

bearal 01-29-2002 04:27 PM

Ack, this is hard! OK, my vote goes to the following:

Kappa Alpha Theta
Pi Beta Phi
Delta Delta Delta
Kappa Delta

But I think Alpha Phi's website is up there as well!:D

Peaches-n-Cream 01-29-2002 05:03 PM

Since I can't vote for the DPhiE website which I really like, I must say that I like Alpha Phi. I just checked out Alpha Omicron Pi and I am impressed. Great website!

Hootie 01-29-2002 05:38 PM

I LOVE AOTT's website. I also found ZETA's to be very beautiful!

D Phi E's website is totally done by volunteers. I am part of the web team, along with a Director of Website Design and others. For a bunch of volunteers, it's pretty damn good, huh Cream? :)

DeltaBetaBaby 01-29-2002 06:03 PM

Phi Mu has an awesome intro.

Damn good!:D

I will be a PNM this fall (yay! finally) and have surfed all of the NPC websites since joining GC. I have been most impressed by:

Theta
Tri-Delta
AOII
Alpha Xi
KD
Phi Mu

These are the ones that have stood out in my mind. They were all entertaining, very technologically-up-to-date, and very easy to surf. I also learned a lot about them. :)

Yes, I think the parents idea was an awesome one, and should be added to all NPC sites! That, of course, is my own humble opinion. :)

TechAPhi 01-30-2002 03:57 AM

I've always enjoyed Kappa Alpha Theta's website.

I think the men's fraternities, in general, are extremely well done. I have seldom seen a bad one.

CutiePie2000 01-30-2002 04:29 AM

I have to say that AOII has a terrific website.

ZTAngel 01-30-2002 12:51 PM

I think that Kappa Delta and Chi Omega have done an excellent job. I always have to put in a vote for my own, Zeta Tau Alpha! :) www.zetataualpha.org

PM_Mama00 02-03-2002 02:32 PM

Ok, I'm breaking the rules. Has anyone seen Phi Mu's website since it was redone? It looks awesome and is very user-friendly!!! The address is phimu.org I haven't really looked at any other websites, except Sigma Delta Tau (my cuzin is one at College of Staten Island), and their website is pretty nice.

BlueandBlue 02-03-2002 03:14 PM

website

I don't mean to be a traitor to my own sorority, but I think KKG's website is pretty weak. ESPECIALLY if you're not a member and can't get into the Kappas only section.
