You DO realize that everything you tell me not to Google is going to get Googled...

DrPhil 04-19-2014 06:55 PM

ASTalumna06 gets the joke. :p

I'm not Googling anything until I'm finished eating for the day. Just in case.

Based on what's already been posted here, that's a good idea!

My son's toe was infected, so I figured I would do some research. :(

Sciencewoman... WHAT HAVE YOU STARTED?!? this is awful...

For the record, I have not done any of these. Why? Because a few years ago someone posted on FB "Do not, for the love of all things holy, watch the trailer to The Human Centipede"

I did. I learned my lesson then.

So there's my contribution GC, if you haven't heard of that movie, do yourself a favor and don't research it. You will be sorry.

My significant other once described the plot of this movie to me. That's all I needed to hear to know that I never wanted to know and/or see any more about it.

I have never had any desire to know ANYTHING about this movie or its ilk, but I own several of the books in which Roger Ebert collected his poor reviews, including A Horrible Experience of Unbearable Length and Your Movie Sucks. I believe Ebert lets fly on this movie in A Horrible Experience of Unbearable Length. GAAACKKKK. And GAAACKKKK. So much GAAACKKKK. I...I...I...I...can't.

So I think this is the only time the first thought in my head is "bless your heart" in regards to a snake

For the record, Cheerfulgreek started it when she said she'd treated a pet snake for snake ticks. I'd never heard of this, so I googled it. This was a very big mistake. I could have happily gone through life without having any knowledge of snake ticks!

Also, I have learned my lesson, and I am NOT going to google anything that's listed here. Curiosity is NOT getting the better of me.

navane 04-20-2014 01:06 PM

Centipede eats its way out of snake's stomach

AGDee 04-20-2014 05:28 PM

And then I mentioned that people shouldn't Google MRSA either. I did that once, yuk.

That's the point. If I said, "You should totally Google 'Dude crushes balls after falling off skateboard'," you'd KNOW not to Google it. This way, people are completely disgusted after thinking, "Hm… I wonder what that is…" and Googling it to find out.

:p

DrPhil 05-17-2014 09:55 PM

Hi :)

Been a while since I've been on the board. Between work and having a very active toddler, things have been crazy busy, but good to see a few people are still around.

According to AZTheta, Phrozen Sands and KAPPAcino, who could not overcome their curiosity about one of Cheerfulgreek's latest veterinary procedures, you should not Google "botfly" or "myiasis."

I think I can make a general statement and say, "don't Google any veterinary procedure, ailment, parasite, etc. that Cheerfulgreek posts about." If you don't know what it is, you probably don't want to know....
