Her new CD "Full Moon" will be released in March.

106 and Park debuted her new single's video. I forgot the name of the song, but I think she needs a REMIX!

I wasn't feeling the song nor the video.

I just finished watching the show and I like the song, but I'm not feeling the video. The braids are gone and I'm having a hard time adjusting to the new look. It'll take some getting used to.

I'm just glad she finally decided to get back on the scene. I remember her saying that she stopped performing cause she was very nervous in front of her fans. I guess without her show she had to put fears aside and try to get back on the payroll.

I'm mad at the "REMIX". LOL.

I am not feeling the new look. She isn't the cutest girl in the world and I think she could have looked "grown up" a little bit better. I have a very sick theory that she she is related to rats but this is not the time or place......:eek: :p

I watched The making the video and to me, she looked better a few years ago. Maybe it was the makeup or something. But all I could do was focus on her eyes and how F A R apart they are! I agree, it's going to take some time to get used to.
I'm mad that after all that mess, Ray J appeared up in the video. If he wants us to see him as hard core, quit showing up in your big sister's videos! She even admitted she doesn't see him as much as she used to.

I have yet to see the new video, and I'm really not anticipating it either. I have never been a big Brandy fan. I don't think she sings well at all. I always liked Monica better.

Anyway, I thought it was about time for those braids to come out. There are only but so many styles that you can do with the SAME braids.

I feel the need to back up Ms. Wonderful because I don't think she is that cute either. Just 'cuz we don't think she's cute don't mean we're hatin' Professor :rolleyes: LOL. To me, her head is as big as a basketball and I swear that I could fit my whole hand in the space between her eyes.

Okay let me clear this up, being point blank honest I think the girl loks like a rat, I am not being a hater or bein cruel, but everytime I see her I always think of how much she would probably enjoy cheese. Now I enjoy her music and I have seen Brandy look nice, I even thought that her looking like a rat was cruel, but I mean she is not the only celebrity that resembles an animal, that would be a good thread! I mean Lionel Richie is defenatily a good stunt double for a horse. Okay let me stop......I am taking out my frustrations on poor Brandy and Lionel. :p

I remember when I was watching an interview with her and Chris Rock for that cartoon that came out(Osmosis Jones) and she's just a talkin' and Chris is just staring at her. She still looks the same to me, she look better with her braids. I'm just glad to see she didn't have a receding hair line, after all those years of wearing them.

The name of the song is What about us. It should be what about this song, and what about my clothes i'm wearing in the video.
I think that now that she's on her own, she won't hold up as well as she was, when moesha was on.

She need to put the braids back in.

As far as how she is looking physically, well you KNOW, WHITNEY HOUSTON WAS HER IDOL, and brandi always said she wanted to follow in her footsteps:(

OK, I laughed at Brandy looking like a rat, and now that I think about it, she sort of does...But you are right on point with Lionel looking like a horse!

I just saw the video and I personally think she looks and sounds better now. The song is decent. She doesn't sound like she's singing thur her nose and it's bout time she got rid of her braids.

I wasn't feeling the Brittney type outfits she had on in the video. I saw the video for "I Wanna Be Down" last night and I got just a little bit misty-eyed. She looked so young and innocent back then.

Doesn't it seem like they, she (Brandy), Britney and the others are trying to come off more like Aaliyah? You know, with their "style" and all? The Brandy video, especially when I watched "Making the Video" reminds me of the "We need a Resolution" video...kind of "dark". I don't know. :confused:

The cinematography of the video was similar to the "We Need a Resolution" video... But I think the style of the video is often a director's/producer's decision. I wonder how much of this new look is Brandy?

I just saw the video a few minutes ago, it is pretty cool. I didn't like that red-strappy-flappy thing she had on though :p

Her hair is pretty... but not quite fitting, I think. Maybe it should be swept away from her face more... and lighten up on the blush.

All in all, she looks cool now.

Who ever is doing her make-up has a bettter grasp than even Revlon. In that one commercial where she is biting into that apple asking "Can your lip cover do that. I am thinking can your make-up artists do their job?

She looks more mature definitely. I think miracles happen everyday but making her cute is pretty much impossible. :(

I agree that Brandy does indeed resemble a Catfish. I know that she is a "Covergirl" but that could be largely due to her "celeberty status" and not her beauty. Perhaps she could be the spokesmodel for "Gorden's Fisherman" or "Mrs. Pauls" Fish Dinners??

Oh, almost forgot her hair, I'm glad to see that she has a new style. I am not surprised to see she sporting "Bangs" after all of those years of braids, It will be YEARS after that demaged hairline recovers.

Even though Monica looks way better (The group vote was 3-1); Brandy is not completely ugly. She looks better WITHOUT the braids than she does with them. Give her this; she DO look better than Destiny's Child.

But on the real as BLACK people we should not be comparing people to animals because back in the day; that is how our ancestors were bought and sold. Did any of you see Roots or Sankofa? If I remember in both movies; they wanted men who were "strong as a horse." Remembering them inspecting the teeth and things? So saying that Lionel Richie looks like a horse is like saying he would make the perfect slave.

Shi-- let somebody call me a monkey or something like that I'd kick they ass.

Everyone is entitled to their opinons about how folks look and stuff but I think as BLACK people we need to think about comparing folks to animals because when we do that; white folks think they can do it to.

As far as her size, I read in the Feb. issue of Instyle and she said she is now a vegetarian. She has given up meat and dairy products for the past two years. I also remeber a few years back, tabloids were saying she had to be rushed to the hospital for taking too many diet pills.

That was a publicity stunt. A friend of mine went to school with Kobe and told me that the only reason he asked Brandy was because one of his...paler.....classmates turned him down.

Maybe they had sex, hey it was prom night and I know how they do at those private school proms, but there was no relationship as we think of it.

It's not only limited to private schools, but with public schools as well. The so-called "better" public school students are more discrete than those at "other" public schools.

Why is that her new song has a sample of Michael's "Rock My World"..a new release. To sample a piece of someone else's work in a less than one year time span isn't too cool. Her video makes me think that she and Janet are going through similar situations...that voo doo stuff and the bitterness theme run rampant in both Janet ("Do you think this song is about you?")and Brandy's videos. They need some counseling, on the real.

I think that she really needed a makeover...to appear more mature...but maybe they could have added more luxury and less leather. The hair choice was also poor. A nice brown and gold straight weave would have been lovely. I don't think she is ugly. I think that the artists have done a decent job of highlighting her best facial features....the eyes and lips..they may not have a technique to diminish the space between the eyes though...but overall...its not that bad.

I think that she has probably spent some time trying to get her body together. I remember her co-hosting the Image Awards or something with Sinbad and she looked so awkward in her body. She's been having a time with those hips and gluts...but she is on the West. Over here on the East, she probably wouldn't get no pain for that.

I feel bad comparing her to Monica. But the Brandy/Monica thing is like the millinium's version of the 80s Michael/Prince one...but I still say that Monica sounds, looks, and has a level of sophistication about herself that Brandy won't ever be able to touch. Monica is just more of an adult.

I thought Waya(from Boys II Men) had that honor. I know she and he hooked up after the whole Kobe deal. They went out for a long time and I think the break up was really bad. I think that's what her second album was about (her break-up with Waya and all the feelings she had as a result)
