Most likely to succeed, class clown, best dressed etc...

Did any of you get voted into your year book senior year, based on how your classmates felt about you?

I never got voted in, but I was just curious to see if any GCers got voted into their yearbooks.

DrPhil 01-20-2014 05:21 PM

No.

But I do wonder why what people were voted for in high school would matter. Not for this thread but to many people, in general.

WestcoastWonder 01-20-2014 06:19 PM

I was voted Best Personality my Senior year, but it's weird, at my school, they didn't put superlatives in the yearbook, they put them in the school newspaper.

C'mon! How else do we establish who the cool kids were? It matters! Like, forever!!

:p

ChioLu 01-20-2014 07:21 PM

I was voted "Class Flirt" (along with the captain of the football team).

Xidelt 01-20-2014 07:44 PM

I was never voted a winner. I'm still really bitter and angry about it.

*punches wall*

Well, off to my anger management class! Tootles!

ElieM 01-20-2014 08:18 PM

I was voted "Most likely to become the Channel 9 weather girl" which to this day I still can't work out if it was supposed to be a compliment or an insult

AGDee 01-20-2014 08:57 PM

I got "Biggest Smile"- some kids actually measured it's width one day. Yes, I have a big smile.

KSUViolet06 01-20-2014 09:43 PM

Nope!

I was Prom Queen though. 12 years later there are folks who are all about how they were Homecoming Queen and have "2002 Whatever HS Homecoming Queen" in their twitter bios or FB profiles. I had almost forgotten about winning it until my Prom King posted a pic of it for Throwback Thursday on FB. lol.

LOL!

This reminds me of my Freshman year of HS when I got nominated for homecoming princess, but lost to my biggest middle school rival. I cried and cried!

There is a girl I graduated with who lives in the same town as my mom/stepdad who made prom court but was not queen. I remember her saying something like "omg I was on Homecoming Court all four years and got nothing and she was fcuking PROM QUEEN?" I am 29. I see her out and about in stores and she STILL does not speak to me because of a plastic crown from 12 years ago when I was 17.

MTSUGURL 01-21-2014 03:36 AM

I was voted Most Talented.

cheerfulgreek 01-21-2014 05:33 PM

I was voted most likely to succeed and most spirited.

clemsongirl 01-21-2014 05:37 PM

My high school yearbook didn't have them but in middle school I think I was voted something called "Most Academic", which in my case more accurately translated to "Queen of the Nerd Herd".

angels&angles 01-21-2014 07:31 PM

I got worst driver :(

Which was BS because there were multiple people who totaled multiple cars, I just happened to get into (okay, cause) a fender bender right in front of the school.

Not that I'm still annoyed about it or anything.

(I'm not the best driver in the world, I will totally admit that. But the WORST? Pssssh)

Ha, same thing happened to me. It's easier to poke fun at someone who had a minor incident versus someone who could have been seriously hurt. I never took it personally.

My school put them in both but in the paper, it was our Sr. paper and not the all campus paper. And then it was only seniors of course. For the yearbook, it was all campus, mostly seniors and then juniors.

At 9 seconds :)

The rumor mill was I was supposed to get most athletic female but since I graduated from summer school, it was given to someone else. Umm, ok. http://www.exisle.net/mb/public/styl...ault/shrug.gif

I2K BetaMu 01-22-2014 12:33 PM

I got voted in as the funniest. At my school they always picked one dude and one female for all of the votes. I used to talk a lot of shit and clown in the classroom and folks thought it was funny.

Then I used to walk around in the hallways after I told the teacher I had to use the bathroom. I'd be gone for almost an hour. When I got back the teacher would ask what took me so long. I'd respond by saying "Nature was calling." Dude ask me what that meant, and when I said I had to take a shit, folks started CTFU because of my response, and they knew I had been out just roaming around LOL!

I'd go from classroom to classroom looking for my boys, then I'd look in the window, clowning, and they'd start CTFU. When the teacher came out, I had bounced by then. I had fun in high school.

I was a Miss Varieties. Our school did a talent show called The Varieties each year, and I was one of the Senior winners. I say that because too many men have snickered at that title!

In college, the fraternities voted on accolades for sorority women each year. I was Best Dressed for a couple of years. I find that hard to believe to this day.

Yes, MysticCat, it established me as one of the cool kids! ;)
