Theme, Slogan, Color 2014

I mentioned it in another thread but I think it would be fun for us to share.
A friend of mine told me she chooses a theme, a slogan and a color for the new year.
After some thought I've decided my 2014 theme to be Exploration and Adventure, my slogan: fun is good (Dr. Seuss), and my color is FF0066, Hot Pink, or Pantone's PMS213, Cherry Blossom. Basically it's bright pink.

And I'll see if I can change my font color to match without burning out everyone's retinas.

I'll get on board with this idea. I like it!

My theme will be: Less is More
Slogan: The best things in life aren't things...
Color: Goldenlite

This is really going to be a huge year for me. I've been working toward this year for the past 20 years. I originally started a master's degree in 1991 but had to quit in '93 when I found out Miss Hypoallergenic was entering the world. Now, in 2014, I will have successfully raised two infants to adulthood and gotten them both off to great colleges AND finished my master's degree (in a completely different field than my first attempt). Wow, what a year it will be :)

Theme: Celebrate and Simplify
Slogan: Wow, I did it!
Color: Royal Purple

Theme color: Lime green
Theme: Reach out for the brass ring
Slogan: This is MY time

Congrats HypoMom!

If you google some colors, some websites have the colors as their own url, so a simple right click on the color block, copy, and paste using the picture box above (yellow sky, mountain, sun between the world with the link and the quote bubble) should do it!
If you right click on one of the colors above (mine and Jen's definitely worked), and click open in new tab, you will be taken to a webpage. remove everything on the url after the .com and you should have a more general website to look around in. Did I just make it worse? I want to help because I want to be motivated by people's plans!

Since Sens used the same color, I just stole his URL :) I didn't realize they were just images from web sites...lol.

Dr. Phil, I like your choices, especially your color. I'm still working on my theme, etc.

DubaiSis 01-02-2014 01:20 PM

Little request: would you provide an explanation for your color choice?

Mine is because I wanted something both feminine and powerful. And also happy, and bright colors make me happy.

Thank you. :)

I have always been drawn to burnt orange for home decorating and clothes. I believe it matches everything and therefore it fits in when necessary. It also sticks out when necessary. It is a perfect mix of bright and dark which fits my personality perfectly. It is among my three favorite colors.

I love this! Go ahead with your bad self! This also goes well with my theme and slogan.

I originally chose black because the word dominate reminds me of the Borg and their colors were basically black and silver.

But I felt a color of royalty would be better suited to what I really wanted to do.

Color Explanation: Pink has been my trademark since I can remember and probably always will be. Gold is my "2014 accent color" because I love how it looks with pink, it's an Olympic year and life is pretty golden right now.
