Penn State's THON 2014

I'm so glad they kept the IFC/ Panhellenic title with THON because there was talk of getting rid of it.

The THON family lost one of its kids this morning. What an awful thing to have to deal with on Christmas morning. RIP Laney.

I didn't realize this until I read about it today but, this is the same young woman who there was a viral FB post about sending carolers to her home to sing Christmas carols to. So sad. May she rest in peace.

a good portion of kids from my high school end up going to PSU and I always get so jealous of their pictures while at thon :)

Thanks so much for all the great pictures! I did Thon back when we were encouraged to show up at 2am because the White Building would be fairly empty, and we wanted to be sure the dancers wouldn't feel forgotten. Not a problem these days!! Great pictures! Always a few tear-jerkers in the bunch.

Watching the end on livestream, and of course I tuned in during the Family Hour, the most heart-tugging part.

You seriously just made my year! Thanks so much! I also loved the Phi Kappa Tau picture because they are Phi Mu's partners for THON! I mean this with all my heart---For anyone who thinks we are just all a bunch of football-lovers, THIS is really what Penn State is all about. THIS is what makes me Penn State proud! I encourage everyone to watch the live stream. It will bring tears to your eyes!

Alpha Tau Omega and Zeta Tau Alpha raised the most out of all of the GLO teams with $375,811.35! Congrats to all of the organizations :)

And the total:

$13,343,517.33!!!!! :D

$13 Million!!!!!

And ASA came in 2nd among the sororities, with $299K, which doesn't suck!

Gotta' make a shout-out to my Phi Mu and Phi Kappa Tau for making it in the top 10 Greek Organizations (#9) with over $162K. They, along with the other organizations, did a great job! FTK! So proud to be a Penn State alumna right now!

And this is why I am proud to be a Penn Stater.
