If you have difficulty with Earpspeak let me know. Some years ago I was designated as Locutus of Earp. The Oxford Dictionary of the English Language recognizes Earpspeak as a valid dialect of American English. Its good to have your brother and my friend back where he belongs.

(When I first met Tom on GC I was a law student and a First Lieutenant USAR, now I am a Lt. COL USAR and a Barrister of seven years call. Its been a few years.

I'm confused. TomEarp never bothered me. In fact, he always seemed pretty nice. Am I missing something? Why was he ever banned from here? I am seriously out of the loop. :confused:

It isn't as funny or interesting now as it was back then. There's no need to rehash the past. Tom Earp is back and he seems to not use as much Earpspeak or antics. So, his posts will not be funny and therefore of little interest to me. :)

Yes, I am trying to be more careful in my typoing, LOL! We all have our ways of wording things and mine were learned at a young age!:D
I tried to react to those that were nice and to those not so nice! Guess that is what got me trouble!!!:D

Funny, I was going around my info stuff and found a lot of PMs that I had not seen in years (5) actually.
A few are still on site but so many have gone away and I wonder what ever happened to them and hope they are doing well!

Yes I missed being on G C as some very super folks here! I miss some of those good folks!

Oh well time does move on!

How about not using an exclamation point to end each and every sentence?

Honest question. Why not use exclamation points enthusiastically? If I had been away for several years I might also use lots of them to express how pleased I was to be back. Seems like 'no biggie' to me.

The indiscriminate use of exclamation points negates their effectiveness, and irritates or annoys the reader(s). It gives a frantic or agitated tone to the content. The intent of an exclamation point is to mark an interjection or an exclamation. Think of it this way: just as no one should speak in a loud volume or shout continuously, no one should use an exclamation point at the end of every sentence.

Remarks offered to answer your question, Peter. Nothing more. There is no anticipation or expectation that Tom will alter his style.

Tom's style is kind of great. It's pretty hard to misinterpret something when you get an emoticon at the end of every sentence.
