ADPi Colonization at Ole Miss
 

Hi everyone! I thought that ADPi deserved its own colonization thread since we're colonizing at a school where Greek life is so important.

ADPi kicked off it's recruitment today! The schedule is as follows..

Blue & White Night - 10/7 (Today!)
Philanthropy Night - 10/9 at The Inn at Ole Miss
Bid Day - 10/13 at the Grove

ADPi is also holding "Tell Us About You" sessions throughout the week for interested PNMs. All interviews will take place in The Jackson Avenue Center.

Alpha Delta Pi is posting constant updates on their colonization Facebook page for whoever wants to follow the process!

Anyone who is closer to the colonization process than I am (I'm not close to it at all, I just wanted to start a thread for our wonderful sorority), please feel free to post more information! Can't wait to welcome home new Alphas!

Also thought I would share that ADPi is currently at 12 out of 14 SEC schools. Ole Miss will be number 13!

A new colony is really, really exciting!

I am biting my nails hoping for elevations (or, be still my heart, PLANS) for the new house. Seems like that's something they'd be likely to share before pref...

Coming out of lurkerdom, because I am so excited for this colony. Just heard from a friend that her daughter, that I wrote a rec for, has an interview scheduled so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for her.

Are any of the parties invitation only or are they open? Do they have the equivalent of a pref party?

I'm fairly certain that they're done with interviews, and are moving into the Pref-like party. I know of a young lady who's going through the process, and I am seriously hoping that she sticks it out! <>

*ahem* we can sit on the veranda and sip sweet tea and wave our lace hankies at one another, honeychile. I am seriously serious about this. Get that colony established, get that house built!

Yay! Thanks for the update!!! Fingers crossed that they have a successful pref and a fabulous bid day tomorrow!

Bid Day will be Sunday, not tomorrow. The Grove will be filled with fans for the Texas A&M game tomorrow. :D

When ADPi set up its tent for Water Parties it was right in front of the Union. So if they set up their location for Bid Day in the same spot, you might be able to see some of the action. Just wanted to share.

TOTALLY cool!! Do you know what time the bids will go out?

I believe they go out tomorrow.

I was just wondering about the time, as in while I'm at church or not. :)

I saw something on their FB page that said 1:30 pm tomorrow in the Grove. Not sure if that's when they are giving out bids or meeting before that.

No Sunday School for me....!

Yeah!! Great news....my DD's roommate from last year just announced on FB that she is a founding sister of A D Pi at Ole Miss. I am so excited for her because last year she was a grade risk and so didn't make it through the week during recruitment. I encouraged her, as a sophomore, to consider this excellent option!

Hm, lots of white tables set up in union plaza per webcam, but not much activity yet. Is that for the bid day celebration?

I feel like a voyeur. That Grove is beautiful! Wow.

Alphas are using #icamehometoadpi on Twitter. One said 315 Alphas, but no confirmation from EO yet on numbers. So so exciting!

Looks like there's a crowd gathered in the back of the scene! I think I see sundresses...

Looks like azure blue bid day bags on the tables and rho gam groups (or prides?) gathered in the grove!

Welcome to the First and Finest, Ladies!

I'm hoping someone posts a bid list of the new Alphas...I'm hoping to see names of girls from my hometown!

I would hope the Daily Mississippian newspaper will post it just like it does for the other sorority pledge classes. I saw some darling pictures on my DD's former roommate's FB page. Looks like a great day!

I just heard that my rec girl is a new Alpha! So excited!

Two of my daughters friends are new founding members. So excited and proud of them! 309 new members! Brings tears to my eyes! Congrats to this new chapter!

316 alphas according to our District 1 alumnae resource director, making this our largest Colony ever.
