By "national", do you mean NPC? Do the NPC sororities take members during the eleven sorority shindig?
|
I feel like I saw a whole lot of "not for me" in your post. I hope you are working to maintain an open mind and I hope that you find what you are looking for.

Refuse to listen and DEFINITELY REFUSE TO PASS ON stereotypes that you hear of chapters. Refuse to use the words slut or whore in connection to another woman or a group of women, whether your opinion or just repeating something that you've heard. It doesn't just comment on what you or others may believe about that woman or group of women but it reflects on you as well. Be gracious, kind, humble and interested in each woman that you meet. This can only reflect well on you as a person whether you receive a bid to any of the groups or not. /end soapbox. |
I'm calling bs on this whole thing. You certainly have a vivid imagination, OP.
|
For clarity (which may be asking a lot for this thread), formal recruitment is the same semester as the 11 sorority recruitment? If so, how does quota work? Open for anyone to answer.

Regardless of how many sororities there are, you show up to events, make first impressions, and either you get a bid or you don't. You didn't get a bid. That's not confusing. I suggest you look at activities outside of Greek Life now that you've attempted membership twice without luck. You may feel you didn't get enough time to make an impression/gain an impression, but the reality is that recruitment is like this at every school: you may find enjoyment in another activity that is a better fit for you. Good luck.

Nationals don't tell you to come back next semester. And you were the only pnm going through formal recruitment? Yeah, right. My BS meter is off the charts with this thread.

OK, I was actually not responding to this thread (or any others that were created by the OP), and giving her the benefit of the doubt, but...
Only 1 PNM was left at the end of formal recruitment for 4 national sororities? And that 1 PNM didn't receive a bid? I call MAJOR BS!!! This isn't even possible. If what the OP described was true, the chapters (or others higher up in their national organizations) would find this to be a huge problem and put a stop to formal and institute only informal recruitment. I mean.. how many girls are in each of these chapters? 5? Because I can't see there being much more than that if they're bringing in ZERO new members during formal recruitment. Either Jess doesn't understand what just happened and is CLUELESS about recruitment, or this is completely made up. |
