Fitbit Users?
Any fitbit users on here? One of my friends recommended it to me and I LOVE it. It's a total reality check if you have a desk job. The default goal is 10K steps per day. I haven't made that yet, but I hope to soon, and I hope to eventually have to increase that goal. I'm not a runner, but I'm mapping out new routes in my neighborhood to increase my walking distance.

My daughter got me hooked on it. Love that I can charge it on my computer so I don't have to worry about finding speciality batteries if it dies while I'm out and about. I have it synched with my phone so I am able to keep track of my steps during the day. I have the Fitbit One which is small enough I can wear it under my clothes and no one knows I have it on. I LOVE MY FITBIT! I have gotten quite a few friends to get one too.

I gave myself and my husband Fitbits for our anniversary two weeks ago. I'm hooked. It really hit home how many empty calories I was taking in, and just exactly how sedentary my job can be.
I found out about them from one of our customers - their company gives them to any employee who wants one, and they can earn money and a reduction on their insurance if they opt to move more. They can earn up to $1000 a year for using them. The CEO is a retired nurse, and she also brings in people to do healthy cooking demos, yoga classes... I love seeing companies invest in their greatest asset! |
I want one and have been debating if it was worth it. Sounds like it is. What about if y are wearing a dress? No waist band to put it on?
|
I wear mine on my bra, at my sternum. It's small and discreet, and while I may not always have pockets or a waistband, it's a cold day in hell that I leave my house braless.
Many of the women I know who have them do the same. I have to tell you, it's the best money I've spent this year. Go for it! |
What stores carry them?
|
I just ordered one. I can't wait for it to arrive.
|
Amazon.com has them, but I got mine at BestBuy. The price is basically set in stone, so there's no benefit in doing a lot of bargain hunting.
My (more than) 2 cents. |
I have the fit bit flex. (The wrist one) Best $100 I've spent!!!
|
What models do those of you who have them own?
|
I'm curious too. I'm leaning towards buying the One but I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $40 compared to the Zip.
|
I have the One, and I clip it to my bra. You cannot see it. I don't like stuff on my wrist. I would be less likely to wear that one which is why I like the One.
I got mine at Best Buy. You can also get it at Target, and if you have their Red card (debit or credit) you can save the 5%. |
I have the One, because the wrist one would bug me. I love the sleep activity feature and the altimeter. I also love that it "talks" to me.
If you pick it up after setting it down, it flashes a little message to you. I'm a fan. |
Got my first 10K step badge today! Whoop!
|
My fitbit came today. I charged it, set it up on my computer, and can't wait to begin wearing it tomorrow. One question. Do you need that synchy thing to synch it. I am still figuring it out.

I can't find any help with this particular problem online, so I'm here to see if anyone can assist (because we're going crazy!).
My company bought all employees the Fitbit Zip, and I've been using it for a couple months with no issues. We just bought one for my SO so that he could join in on all the Fitbit fun. We synced it on the computer and downloaded the app on both his phone and tablet. We figured out that his phone is too old to sync the device/keep up with challenges. No big deal. Then we looked at the tablet. He was able to sync it. Then a couple hours later, he went to sync it on the tablet again, and it says he has a software update available, but when he clicks on it, it does nothing, and the swirly sync "button" is missing! How do we get the sync thinger back? We already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app... |
Their customer service is great! Mine broke on Saturday. I emailed them yesterday and another one is on the way to me
