going through rush! my story!
 

I started rush yesterday, and I remembered that someone had asked that I Return and tell my recruitment story :)

I'll tell it as I go.
I'm just going to give the sororities names based on cheerleading terms, seeing how I've spent my whole life cheering, and I have no other ideas haha.

So, yesterday I met all of the sororities

and ranked them like this


1. Pike- These girls were ridiculously nice and pretty. I felt like my conversation with one girl was a little awkward, but I left them up top because I still really liked the vibe I got being around all of them.

1. Pyramid- THIS HOUSE WAS SO AMAZING. I'm gonna be sad if they drop me, because I connected really well with the girl I talked to. We laughed and had a conversation that wasn't the typical layout, like I had with the others.

1. Dance- I also really liked this house. I felt like they were very down to earth and relaxing to talk to.

1.Basket Toss- I came into rush with these girls in high expectations. They didn't blow me away, but they were so fun to talk to, and very friendly.

1. Herkie- I fell in love with this house as well, I thought they were fun and extremely welcoming. I had no problem keeping the conversation going. We talked until I went out the door, and I enjoyed the conversation.

1. Megaphone- These girls were so real haha. They were friendly but honest. I liked them a lot!

1.Heel Stretch- These girls were all crazy gorgeous and smart. I still felt a little uneven seeing how they were all blonde, and I looked completely different from all of them. Even though I know that is irrelevant, I still felt a little bit intimidated by how perfect they all were! I had an amazing conversation and could see myself finding a home here for sure, anyways, if they choose to invite me back.

1. Scorpion- These girls were also the epitome of perfection. I felt so comfortable with the girls I talked to! It flew by, and I was sad to go because I liked talking to them so much!

2. stunt- I sort of had high hopes for this house. I still think it may have just been the girls I talked to. They were sweet, but I definitely could feel that I wasn't a perfect fit.

3.toe-touch- this is the first house I visited. I'm super clumsy so of course i embarrassed myself first thing I came in haha. This house was strange because I met about 4 girls and didn't spend much time with each of them. I did like them though, I didn't much time to make connections though.

4. Pom Poms- My conversation with this girl was pretty one sided and pretty awkward to be honest. I do like the house though, so it may still be a good fit for me! I did have to rank someone last though, so this was the only one I didn't feel perfect with right away like the others.


I leave in a hour to find out who invited me back, and to do round two!! :) IM SO NERVOUS AND EXCITED!

I loved all of them and I completely clicked and fell in love with them, although I could feel in my heart that Megaphone was kind of awkward again and I thought that I may not get invited back.
As I sat in Herkie I fell head over heels in love with their philanthropy and everything they had to say. But honestly (don't get mad at me), I could tell that I probably won't get invited back because they were all blonde and pretty and I just felt like even though as myself I thought I could fit in, they might not think so!


SO...
This morning I got my card back and I got...
Megaphone and Toe-touch

2 out of a possible 5. Kinda upset that I was only asked back by 2, but other people and what they get isn't what matters. I just needed to worry about myself.
I love both of these, even though they WERE at the bottom of my list, after meeting with them more yesterday I fell in love with them and decided that if I get asked back I could find a home with either of them for sure. I'm still trying to get over being dropped by Herkie HAHA. I reaaaally liked their philanthropy, but you win some you lose some!

So yesterday I went to Megaphone first, then Toe-touch. I really enjoyed Megaphone, even though the girl I talked to had not much to say. She apologized for not having anything to say, so I asked her a few random questions to keep it going, and the next girl I really enjoyed talking to also.
The weird part about Toe-touch was that I got the same girls from the other day, it was pretty uncomfortable, but I still love the girls from this house and what they represent. When they went around in their circle and told us about themselves I really started to be won over. They all had great personalities and awesome accomplishments. As did Megaphone with their circle and introductions.


In a few hours I find out what I get back. I hope I get one of them! Both of them would be AMAZING. I would be extremely bummed with nothing back. I'm just gonna stay positive and hope for the best.

Thanks for the support!! So I got back megaphone, and I'm happy that I got one back. I realize that if I had gotten toe-touch instead of megaphone I would have been bummed. I really hope that I can get a bid from megaphone. Knock on wood! I'm going into preference round with 1/2 which is definitely scary, but I'm happy that I got a house that I'm happy with. I know that they will grow on me, if I can manage a bid!

I LOVED PREF ROUND SO MUCH!!! I loved megaphone sooooo much. This was the big click I've been waiting for. I almost cried and so did my girl. I had her yesterday and she was actually excited to have me back. The circle they did almost had me crying so hard because I loved it so much and I finally got that warm fuzzy feeling. I can't believe how amazing it felt and I might actually cry if I don't get megaphone now because ahhhh
