Sigma Kappa Recruitment results 2013-14

As the recruitment season has begun, post recruitment results here. Next year, if I have time and can figure out how to do it, I'll try to create a chapter/school list, but until then, show your Sigma Kappa pride and post results.

Alpha Gamma (WSU) took 40 according to their president this morning =). Congrats!!!

southernbuff 08-19-2013 02:38 PM

WSU, was that quota?

wsucalsigmakapp 08-19-2013 02:40 PM

I don't believe so, I have been told quota was 48, I asked the president but she has not yet responded... Not sure what is going on tbh, Alpha Gamma has done really well the last 5+ years in recruiting that I am kinda shocked we didn't take quota plus. Two years ago we took quota plus like 18...

wsucalsigmakapp 08-19-2013 04:34 PM

Epsilon Mu (The University of Missouri) took 85 women, quota was 80!!!! Information from the Leadership consultants that helped with recruitment!!!!!

southernbuff 08-19-2013 04:54 PM

Way to go, Epsilon Mu! Keep up the great work!

IndianaSigKap 08-19-2013 05:02 PM

Hi Southernbuff! Welcome. Stop by the SK thread and introduce yourself!

southernbuff 08-20-2013 11:59 PM

From Irishpipes thread, I wanted to post that Auburn, Theta Xi had 64 with a quota of 60. UGA, Epsilon Epsilon had 74 with quota of 69. Anyone know about numbers for TCU and UT Chattanooga?

southernbuff 08-22-2013 12:11 PM

University of Louisville - Quota 42, Sigma Kappa - 43!

southernbuff 08-23-2013 03:19 PM

From Facebook, Iowa State Sigma Kappa took 49 new membersFrom Twitter, UT Chattanooga took 74 new members

Waiting to hear about TCU, Kansas and KSU...

Post any updates here!

cinder1965 08-25-2013 07:51 PM

Is anyone following Purdue recruitment which started this weekend?

Girlmomx2 08-25-2013 09:31 PM

I saw on twitter that UT Knoxville took 62

southernbuff 08-25-2013 09:32 PM

Cinder, I'll look into the Purdue recruitment. I don't have any inside info, but I'll see what I can find.

So, Kansas Sigma Kappa has 56 new members.
UT Knoxville got 62 new members.
Western Kentucky Sigma Kappa got 39 new members.
UT Chattanooga got 74 new members.

Any updates Florida, Arizona, Southern Illinois University, Kansas State or TCU? Feel free to update as info comes available. Thanks. SLAM!

AZTheta 08-25-2013 09:37 PM

excuse the crash: Quota at Arizona was 94 and I know SK took at least quota, if not quota plus. Somehow I want to say...98? But not in stone. Will come back and share when I know for certain.

SigKapSweetie 08-25-2013 09:49 PM

Sigma Kappa at UF took 70!

cinder1965 08-25-2013 10:00 PM

Southernbuff, so did all of those chapters you listed meet quota???

wsucalsigmakapp 08-25-2013 10:40 PM

Results sound great so far!!! Missouri State has bid day tomorrow! Go Sigma Kappa!!!

southernbuff 08-25-2013 10:49 PM

Thanks for the info, AZtheta, on Arizona...I'll take information where I can get it. Send more as you get more!

AZTheta 08-26-2013 02:13 PM

Me again: confirming that your UofA chapter has 98 new doves! Quota was 94. Congratulations!!!!!

southernbuff 08-26-2013 02:27 PM

I really wish we had a "like" button! Thanks, AZtheta! So proud of Arizona and their hard work. Does Arizona use an upperclass quota? Just wondering?

southernbuff 08-26-2013 02:30 PM

Has anyone heard what quota was at UT Chattanooga, UT Knoxville and TCU?

cinder1965 08-26-2013 02:44 PM

Congrats U of AZ, that is great news!!!

AZTheta 08-26-2013 02:50 PM

No upperclass quota, and sophomores do get bids. Not sure about juniors, but can do a little research. You guys need to come visit. Your ABC is adorable, and the facility is to die for (it's new but you've already outgrown it - seriously). Okay enough out of me. panhell xxooxx to you guys!

Well, let me introduce you to this. :D

southernbuff 08-26-2013 03:29 PM

Again, where is the like button. I love the awesome site you put together each year but was sad last year to not see my sorority represented comprehensively. So..I decided to do something about it this year. Hope I'm not stepping on any toes here! Just trying to spread the Sigma K love!

irishpipes 08-26-2013 03:34 PM

No toe stepping at all. Some of us are "listers." It's a disorder! (But a very orderly disorder.)

BTW, my TCU pal didn't know the Sigma Kappa number. :(

cinder1965 08-26-2013 05:02 PM

Souternbuff, thank you for taking the lead , I agree, I have been lurking on here for about a year and haven't seen much SK news!!!

AZTheta 08-26-2013 09:05 PM

I'm sorry to keep stalking your thread, guys - but if you search for Arizona Sigma Kappa on FB, there are awesome photos of your actives and bid day. Gorgeous women. Just sayin'...

/back to my lane now.

cinder1965 08-26-2013 09:16 PM

AZTheta, upon your advice , I looked at the pics of our new baby doves at AZ, holy smokes, those girls are adorable!!! Seriously, when I see the FB bid day pics from the various sororities and schools, I'm like , damn, I thought I was cute and all at that age but these girls are gorgeous. Or, am I just old???? Lol.

southernbuff 08-26-2013 10:23 PM

Cinder and AZTheta...you both arent' joking...those girls look like future Miss Arizona/Miss Americas! Ive never seen so many adorable girls in one chapter. Yeah...I was never that together at that age! Girls today just know how to put it all together to look beautiful!

cinder1965 08-26-2013 10:37 PM

I'm afraid my 1985 rushee self would not have made the cut these days!!! :-)

southernbuff 08-27-2013 11:29 AM

Oh yeah...my 1982 self actually wore a sun dress my mother made, and I thought I was "lookin good!" It was actually a cute dress, but there is NO WAY my daughter would have ever thought of wearing a home made dress during her recruitment last year. Times have certainly changed!

cinder1965 08-27-2013 11:50 AM

Lol, my step daughter went through rush last year too, same here!!!! She had an idea of exactly what she should wear, etc. She would send me pics of clothes she was deciding to buy in the store, and I was like, good grief she looks like she is 25!!!! These girls know how to put themselves together. I didn't expect her recruitment to be so stressful for me. Thank goodness she pledged DG and was thrilled. No SK chapter where she goes to school :-(

clemsongirl 08-29-2013 12:42 AM

It looks like 59 new girls for Clemson's Kappa Pi chapter (but I might have counted them wrong honestly).

cinder1965 09-03-2013 11:05 PM

Beta Sigma, Purdue University, got at least two legacies tonight. Daughters of girls I lived in the house with, woot, woot!

southernbuff 09-04-2013 04:04 PM

Ok, all you smart Sigma detectives, I need your help! Here is the list where we need to get recruitment information:
Arizona State
U C Berkeley
Colorado School of Mines
Florida Atlantic
Bradley
Southern Illinois
Purdue
Kansas State
MIT
Central Missouri and
TCU

any help would be appreciated and keep sharing our success in recruitment this year!

cinder1965 09-05-2013 10:49 PM

Well, I don't have any numbers to report but I did find this adorable picture of the Purdue Sigma Kappas ready to do Formal Recruitment on their twitter!

IndianaSigKap 09-05-2013 10:55 PM
