I am so excited for the season kickoff against UGA. It had better be the College Gameday game or I'll drive over to ESPN's headquarters on the way down to school and personally harangue them.

It sounds like a good contender, with both schools ranked in the top 10.

UCLA will welcome our NEVADA WOLF PACK to the Rose Bowl on August 31st to open the season for both teams. I WILL be in attendance. It will (partially) make up for the fact that I will not be able to make it across the country to see us take on Florida State a few weeks later in Tallahassee.....one thing on my bucket list is to see:

It is pretty amazing misscherrypie. When Osceola plants the spear, it is even more so.

With the exception of some drunken fans that were harassing us in the stands, I thoroughly enjoyed the band's trip to FSU. The atmosphere and pregame routine were amazing! The fact that we got to spend a few days in hotels at Panama City Beach didn't hurt, either;)

Sciencewoman, there is no doubt in my mind that our boy Bret voted for Arkansas. He does seem to be quite the tool.

WCsweet<3 - If you don't mind my asking did you go seasons tickets, package tickets or singles on stub hub. I've heard a few unhappy Duck fans on some of the fan boards complaining about not being able to buy single tickets through the school anymore. Daughter got a ticket package for Tennessee, Utah, and UCLA. I think they are going to end up selling Utah and/or UCLA and go up to the UW game with it.

My best friend/sorority sister bought season tickets. I get to go whenever her fiancé can't. My boyfriend and I really hope to go to Tennessee. I might want to her UCLA tickets!!!

You are a lucky lady and that is one heck of a best friend! :). If they decide to sell those I'll let you know. I think they're leaning towards selling the Utah tickets, but a lot of it depends on her BF's fall work schedule.

She is so excited for that Tennessee game that I think she's counting the minutes, but I think it's less about football and more about getting to see a lot of friends who are coming back for it. They had to go all the way out to Springfield to find a hotel with rooms available and that was back in April.

I'm her maid of honor so it ties into wedding planning. She is from eugene so she is getting married there. If the schedule doesn't work out lemme know! Actually if they decide to sell either really...

I'm dying for that game. I think everyone I know is trying to go. So many people flying in!

Well...I guess I'll send some love to the MAC, since it's all you "Big School" people in here! GO FLASHES! Despite a few little struggles, we got our "W" last night. We made a small splash last season, and I'm hoping we will shake it off and continue in that direction!

Alabama is going to take names this year, but Northern Illinois and Oregon are in my top 5 of picks this year too.

He is amazing - I will give you that, but I'm not ready to say he raises it one.:). His 40 time is better but DAT's 100 time is better (I know the 40 time matter more with football stats, but still). Also, and I mean this as no disrespect whatsoever to Kent State, but he's playing in the MAC and the level of competition he is up against isn't quite the same(although after that sad performance by USC last night, I'm doubting the Pac-12 again :().

All of that said, he is impressive, and I know he's in the early Heisman conversations. Some talented kids out there this year all of whom are going to be fun to watch - Thank heavens college football has begun!!!!

#2 - I've been many times, but wasn't that impressed. Too many guys carrying 12-packs over their shoulder and stumbling around.

Don't worry. We hear that pretty regularly around here in the MAC! But, all in all, I think that we have a pretty solid conference. Two teams in the Top 25 last year, and plenty of representation in the NFL! I enjoy seeing a lot of Flashes on Sundays!
The Pac-12 did have some struggles last year. But I don't make too many judgements week one. Sometimes people need a game to work things out!
And yes...nothing like Football Saturdays and Sundays! I'm ready!
