Big Brother 15

Anyone watching this season? Just started last week, already a ton of racism on the feeds.

Are any of the house guests Greek? I'm really hoping Aaryn the college student from (I think) Texas is unaffiliated.

sigmadiva 07-02-2013 10:40 PM

I'm watching. No favorites yet.

IndianaSigKap 07-02-2013 11:10 PM

I am watching. No favorites, but several house guests I'd like to see go home.

Can't find anything on her being Greek... did find a nude modeling picture though..

According to his LinkedIn and facebook, Nick is a Delta Tau Delta from Ohio State.

I'm watching BB15 too... and I was literally JUST thinking this; hoping the TX State girl isn't affiliated. Eep. Heard about what she said on the live online feed.

Ladybugmom 07-03-2013 01:26 PM

I have been wondering about Aaryn too. She apparently goes to Texas State where greek life thrives, but I can't find anything on her. I would wager that if she is greek, they asked her to take her personal facebook page down before she left.

Nanners52674 07-03-2013 02:01 PM

If she is affiliated I hope no organization officially claims her. Her comments have gotten even worse, if possible. The agency she had a modeling contract with has released a statement dropping her due to her comments.

IndianaSigKap 07-03-2013 04:00 PM

I love how house guest go on the show and totally forget the world is watching. They are lulled into the false thinking that if the other house guests can't hear them, no one else can.

mandybxo 07-03-2013 04:49 PM

Aaryn is greek!! She is a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha! Wonder if their Nationals is aware of what has been going on...

I'm not seeing anything that says that...
Source?

Yes, it took a bit of digging! Here's the source:

http://aarynelizabeth.nowcasting.com...actorID=ag1628

She is indeed Greek!!

Nanners52674 07-06-2013 12:30 AM

That just makes me sad. I hope this is a side of her that was never conveyed during recruitment or in her in formal representations of her chapter and national organization.

In other news, Gina Marie a pageant coordinator from the Staten Island area has been let go from her job in a public press release from the company.

TPA85 07-06-2013 12:35 AM

Since that is the only reference anyone can find, I'm GUESSING she began her new member period and didn't last long...
Maybe that's wishful thinking since I hate the thought of her being Greek.

IndianaSigKap 07-06-2013 12:38 AM

I am appalled that CBS is letting the racist/homophobic/inappropriate comments continue. Yes, the First Amendment gives people the right to say those awful things, but what about the rights of the people who live in that house and have no say about having to hear the comments. I wish CBS would at least pull the house guests in the DR and let them know that what they are saying is going out to millions of people via the live feeds and that some of their statements may have repercussions for them on the outside. If they continue after being warned, then it's their own faults.

I am just surprised at CBS' lack of concern.

TPA85 07-06-2013 01:22 AM

Oh good..... now a few cast members have made up a "Stereotype Song"... with lines including "Hey Helen, betcha can't drive" and "Hey Helen, bet you're good at math."

These guys are super classy.

Nanners52674 07-06-2013 04:16 AM

I wish you could still fly planes over the BB house, I'd fly a big ole banned letting Aaryn and Gina Marie know they're now unemployed. I'd love to see the response from them.

"Rights," particularly First Amendment ones, have nothing to do with anything if the government is not involved. These people entered the BB house voluntarily, knowing what was in store. They signed contracts with CBS, which only cares about ratings, not about the feelings of their "house guests." CBS will do something about the comments if people stop watching. But if people keep watching, or watch to see what horrible thing will be said next, why would they do anything other than exploit it?

I happened upon Big Brother After Dark and heard that, too.

TPA85 07-07-2013 01:07 AM

CONFIRMED! She is no longer a ZTA. She claimed (on BB After Dark) that she disaffiliated because her 21st birthday fell over rush week and "they wanted to charge [her] $100 a day to miss it".

Good thing she's out because she had NOTHING nice to say about ZTA, another sorority by name, and said said "and all the other ones.. ehh".

I dislike her greatly.

ETA: She also said that Zeta's colors were pink and turquoise..so she has proved to be an idiot and clearly gained no knowledge during hew NM period or initiation.

TPA85 07-07-2013 02:10 PM

Now Spencer's job is on the line too.
"Clawson has been captured on "BB" cams calling one houseguest "Kermit the F**" and praising Hitler as a gifted speaker. "

Clawson serves as a railroad conductor for Union Pacific, who released a statement on their
website saying, "The values represented by Spencer Clawson's comments during
the Big Brother show do not at all align with Union Pacific's values." They
continued, "Mr. Clawson is on unpaid leave of absence while participating on Big
Brother. Union Pacific does not condone his comments." They ended their
statement by saying they are "acting in accordance with Collective Bargaining
Agreement terms regarding Mr. Clawson"

I understand harsh feelings toward the first comment but let's be serious.. Hitler WAS a gifted speaker. He convinced thousands of people to execute millions through speeches. Saying he was gifted isn't saying he was a good guy and he supports him......

TPA85 07-10-2013 04:29 PM

And now Jessie.....
Last night on BB After Dark she was talking about going to a club and some guy she liked was "dancing with some girl and her retarded brother"...
so another houseguest clarifies "...like Down Syndrome...??"
she says "YEAH!" and everyone got silent (except Jessie, who kept going with the story).

If she weren't unemployed going into the house, my guess is she would have been after eviction.

Exactly. I don't watch the show, but I had to come here and see what everyone was saying about the racist comments that are being plastered all over the news.

Reality show tv "stars" do not have their rights stripped from them when they go on these shows. They have the right to shut their mouth and not say stupid, racist, insensitive things. If they choose to give up that right, then they should expect that whatever they say is for the world to hear. They need to deal with the consequences. It's not CBS's fault that these people are ignorant morons.

And yes, the First Amendment has nothing to do with this.. at all.

Ladybugmom 07-11-2013 03:17 PM

Is it just me or does it seem like the fallout is way more this season? This can't be the first time there has been questionable conversations in the "afterdark" episodes. It will be a miracle if anyone has a job when they get out of that house.
Jessie just drives me crazy, especially when she talks about how attractive she is:eek:.

NutBrnHair 07-11-2013 10:19 PM

Game on. Now, I'm into it.

ms_gwyn 07-13-2013 02:46 PM

I have decided that Aaryn is just completely clueless and will get a very rude awakening very, very soon. And when it does happen she will continue to close down and get worse. It will take *a lot* for her to realize how inappropriate she is. She is just too young and too sheltered and still very into herself and her cloistered world.

SWTXBelle 07-13-2013 03:12 PM

I don't watch BB, but saw a commercial with a woman saying awful things while apparently wearing a Texas State shirt. I had hoped I was wrong. I wasn't.

sigmadiva 07-14-2013 09:52 PM

I think there is something fundamentally wrong with Aaryn.

tootiepie2 07-14-2013 10:48 PM

Have any of you aware of a time where a situation like this hurt recruitment for chapter? I know she is no longer a member but I am sure it is well known that she was a member of the chapter. As adults we know that every chapter has it's mean girls, partiers, quiet girls, studiers etc. But do you really think 18 yr olds think like that? Or do you think most of them are as self centered and worried about being in the right chapter that they might think she is cool?
There was a well known on campus incident at my daughters school last semester with a mean girl who was kicked out of her sorority after but I am wondering how pmn's will see it or if they will even remember or care.

Ladybugmom 07-16-2013 10:37 AM

AAryn is beyond mean...I wonder what her parents are thinking about her behavior? If that were my daughter, I would be mortified!
I was watching "After Dark" last night and some of the house guests were talking about Aaryn, saying that she admitted that she didn't do well in her sorority or on the dance team (referring to Strutters, which she quit after one year). Wow..what a shock... (not). I would bet that she has had girl issues her whole life.

Phigirl04 07-16-2013 11:31 AM

Aaryn will definitely have a rude awakening once she returns to normal life. I'm not sure how these people forget that they are on national television and that everything they say/do is going to be scrutinized by everyone watching. That's part of why I've never had the interest in being on a show like this or Real World. One comment, even taken out of context (although that is not the case here) can change your life forever.

TriDeltaC 07-21-2013 10:10 PM

who is everyone's favorite thus far in BB15? least favorite? (..cough aaryn cough)

Sen's Revenge 07-22-2013 07:18 AM

Howard is my favorite even though his game play is atrocious.

Judd is my least favorite. Totally unmemorable.

NutBrnHair 07-22-2013 12:30 PM

I was really hoping Judd would not nominate Aaryn, just so she would be America's Choice as a nominee this week. I wanted to see her face when she found out she is disliked the most by all of the country!

shadokat 07-22-2013 01:59 PM

Favorite: Howard, Judd, and Elissa
Least: Aaryn and GinaMarie

IndianaSigKap 07-22-2013 02:35 PM

Least Favorite: Aaryn, Spencer, Gina Marie
Favorites: Candice, Elissa, Judd

Wouldn't be upset if he won: Howard..he is a good guy but has no game

sigmadiva 08-08-2013 10:30 PM

The players are soooo weak this season. I remember in seasons past where eviction votes were close, like 5 - 4. This year its all unanimous. "Its what the house wants." What a lame excuse.

These players really need to get a backbone.....

ms_gwyn 08-09-2013 12:21 AM

Don't know if anyone else has noticed but Amanda starts talking about her target the week before they are nominated....

I may not like it (and I really don't), but I think the final 2 will be Helen and Amanda...I would have to give it to Amanda.....I don't like her game play, but she is brilliant at her game.

Sen's Revenge 08-09-2013 08:21 AM

Last night's episode gave me a stomach ache. UGH.

I hope CBS changes up the game play GREATLY next year, or at least gets a cast that isn't afraid to rock the boat. It's so bothersome that they have been making the votes unanimous AND THEN HUG THE EVICTED HOUSE GUEST!

However, Candice and GinaMarie's argument was AWESOME.

azureblue 08-09-2013 10:14 AM

Somebody needs to make a big move! Everyone is so afraid to make a move and go against the bullies/meangirls. UGH...so annoying! They should have bounced Amanda when they had the chance...TWICE!

sigmadiva 08-09-2013 11:33 AM

^^^^ I agree about Amanda. I have a feeling that when they all finish the game many of the players are going to regret that. And, one of the main ones might be McCrae.
