True Blood
New season starts tonight!!!!!!!!!
As long as I can see my topless Eric and Alacide, I am one happy camper! |
Can't wait!!! I'm finishing the last Sookie book today. My sister bought me a signed, special edition copy for my birthday.
|
Hated the end of Dead Ever After! BLAH!!!!
But, it makes me happy to know True Blood is on tonight, and that it doesn't follow the books really anymore. |

Alexander Skarsgard is the reason I started watching the show! 6 ft 4 inches of pure Swedish Gorgeousness! |
Pretty good season premier!

He is the reason I like the bomb movie Battleship. He in it, he hot! |

Mr. KDR and I just started getting these DVDs from Netflix. We are still in season 1 - the bar owner just outed himself as a shape shifter. It's a decent show. I enjoy Anna Paqin.

Season finale was......interesting, I wonder what's coming next?
|
I hate that we have to wait so long between seasons.
|
Doesn't snow extinguish fire? I hope so!
|
I clicked this, knowing I haven't watched the season finale and am relieved there are no spoilers. Hope I get a chance to watch it soon!
|
I laughed at the ending, but I like it!

I think the season finale confused me more than anything. At first I thought that Warlowe's "light" passed on to all the vamps and that is why everyone is flipping out about need a protector. But then I thought maybe it took it away. I'm not sure as I am a bit confused on why now everything has gone to hell. I have to say, I'm glad Sookie is FINALLY with Alcide! Sam the mayor was a little weird and that Arlene now owned Merlotte's and changed the name. Really wondering what next season will bring. |
I enjoyed the finale. Wasn't perfect, but I enjoyed it.

Good news all.....
ERIC IS "ALIVE"!!!!! He didn't go into a flaming crisp and self combust into a pile of intestines and blood. The showerrunner stated in an interview with TV that Alexander WILL be back next season. Thank goodness. |
Hallelujah!!! ;) :D
I was thinking that there would be no plot point in Pam having left to go find him, if he wasn't going to survive. My guess is that she's been nursing him back to health in the 6 month interim. (I do not want to see a semi-recuperated Eric next season, like Russell Edgington after being buried in concrete...wait until he looks good to bring him back!) I was actually disappointed that Eric took off for leisure time in Sweden. I thought he'd left the camp to go help Sookie with Warlow, since he was able to get through to fairy land and drink Warlow's blood. Kind of disappointed that he left her in the lurch instead of helping...but Bill was redeemed instead. |
Thank goodness Eric is coming back and he better stay!

The Hep-V virus mutated causing the new strain of infected vamps to go all feral and rabid (sorry, that was my best analogy). This is why the humans need protectors and why vamps need non-carriers of the virus. |
^^^ I wondered why they weren't dead, because the first ones infected just died after a few days. If you ask me, it looks like True Blood is trying to cash in on the current zombie craze.
|
I finally got to see the finale. For those who read the books, is this true to the books at all?
It sure looked like Eric turned to vampire slime- I'm wondering if he'll just be back in flash backs or something |

I almost have a feeling that they are going to try to pull a Lestat. In one of the books (Interview w/ the Vampire series...I forget which book 3? 4?), Lestat tries to go to the desert and die and he couldn't because he was too old to succumb to the sun (instead, he got a tan). I think they are going to do something similar w/ Erik. |
