Is Town Center out of the way for anyone? I'm looking at the profiles of everyone who has responded so far, and I see a lot of "Atlanta" listings as your home locations. Are y'all actually IN the city of Atlanta like I am, or are y'all in a suburb somewhere? If the majority of us are in or just outside of Atlanta, I was thinking that it might be easier to meet somewhere around there than near Kennesaw. (Just something to think about... I'll go wherever is easiest for the most people.) :) Speak up, everyone! :D

I'd love to come - I'm not in Atlanta but we head down there once a month or so to shop so it wouldn't be a stretch for me to drive down and hang out! I've got a wedding the weekend of the 19th but other than that I'm free! Let me know - and I hope y'all don't mind me tagging along!! ;)

My January is BOOKED but February looks okay. And I am up for anywhere in the ATL area. Just let me know!

I suggest you gals meet up some place fun like the CheeseCake Factory. Who can resist that place?!

Cheesecake Factory.... YUMMY!!!... There are 2 of those in the Atlanta area... One in Buckhead and the other at Perimeter Mall in the Ashford-Dunwoody area.

I'v only been to the CC Factory once..the one in Buckhead. It was veryyyyy noisey and crowded.

What about around Town Center (is that one one on Barrett Parkway) or Cumberland..that's kinda in the middle.


or...CC at Perimeter would be fine with me.

There is a rest. behind Perimter Mall called Canyon Cafe?? That might not be as crossed as CC Factory.

You guys just pick a nice, inexpensive place and I'll be there!

Question: shall we wear our pins or letters? Because I refuse to walk up to strangers and ask, "Are you AOPiLaLa? DZrose?":D

What about wearing something red..like a shirt/blouse/handbag/coat/flower, etc.

To be able to discern some badges/pins, you have to be pretty close, lol...especially with a lot of jewelry designs these days.

We have our AGD Atlanta Area Alumnae Chapter meetings once a month near Perimeter so I decided to check out the area.

What abour Rio Bravo, Ashford-Dunwoody, Rd. about a mile past Perimeter Mall. (From I-285, past PMall) ..At Mexican Rest., they ususally don't care how loud you get...probably...lol!!

About 1?? That way lunch crowd will be lessening or do you want later..about 5?? Considering Carnation and others have such a long way to drive...

Does everyone have a shirt with their letters embroidered on it? If so, we could all wear those. I have several lettered shirts that are EASY to spot, even from across the room. :)

Sure... Sarah (AGD?) -- Bowling Green's only about 6.5 hours from my house south of Atlanta!

If you are worrying about recognition . . . why not agree to reserve a table in the name of Pan Hellenic or some such in advance?

"Excuse me Miss, we have a reservation under the name of...first name Pan...last name Hellenic..."

Maybe a professional sounding group name would be better or better yet...someone's name!! :)

I don't know if Rio Bravo takes reservations, although it's a good idea, James. I'll check into it.

At any rate, I think it would be nice to wear letters... Good PR for anyone who might see us/overhear us in the restaurant -- it shows that Greeks can have fun together, no matter what organization they are individually affiliated with! :)

Plus, even if a table is reserved under a specific name, there's always a chance that someone might overlook it. Wearing letters would prevent anyone from driving an hour to get to the meeting and then be upset by not being able to find our group. (This happened to me last weekend, btw, with one of my alumnae groups! The table was reserved under a sister's name, but when I asked the host where my group was, he told me that there was no one there by that name. Turns out they were in a corner and I couldn't see them from the entrance. So taking the host's word and thinking that I had gotten the day wrong, I turned around and went home! :eek: )
