The 2013 Convention/Boule thread: Having one? Going? Did you go? How was it? Share!
I did this thread last year and it's that time of year again!
Is your org having a Convention/Boule/Conclave/whatever this year? Where? Are you going? Also, if you went, tell us how it was! |
Sigma Phi Epsilon's 53rd annual Conclave is this year in Dallas (aka Grapevine) at the Gaylord Texan Resort.

Ours is in Milwaukee this year. I'm a national officer, so I'll be there.

Omega Phi Alpha's will be in Pittsburgh this year in July!

Tri Sigma will have Convention & Volunteer Summit June 21-24 at Disneyworld! I have never been so I'm a little excited!
We are triennial as well so it has been a long wait. |

Alpha Phi's 70th Biennial Convention will be held June 25-29, 2014, at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, California.
I will not be going unfortunately. |
Theta Nu Xi's is in Boston this year. Aug 9-11. I'll most likely be there since I live there, lol.

Ours are annual and will be in Durham this year hosted by the Chi Delta of Psi Upsilon at Duke. I unfortunately probably won't be able to make it because of how pricey it is.

AOII will hold convention in Chicago this year. I'm taking my sister, but this time we're just going as guests so we can go sightseeing in Chicago and out to eat at a couple restaurants I want her to try. I am really excited about Candlelighting this year since it will be lead by our newly re-chartered Alpha chapter!

^^^ I really enjoyed attending AOII's Candlelighting in 2011 and I know that you'all are very excited for the return of your Alpha Chapter.

Alpha Xi Delta's 50th National Convention will be in San Francisco. I'll be going and am really looking forward to it.

Nevada is part of a Quad States configuration in Beta Sigma Phi, so the four states rotate the convention every year. This year, it's in the Salt Lake City area in June. Our chapter is definitely planning to caravan out there for it.

ZBT's 104th International Convention & Leadership School for 2013 will be held in FT. Lauderdale, FL. in Mid-July. Can't Wait!!!:D

I will be attending ADPi Convention on June 26 in Dallas! This will be my third Convention....it is such an amazing experience.

Kappa Delta's 60th Biennial Convention will be held June 27- July 1 in Boston. I would have liked to have gone since my daughter lives in Boston, but my AC is sending one of our young ones as our representative this year.

I am home!
It was a really great time (and this is coming from someone who is not super obsessed with Disney.) The highlight reel: *Experiencing initiation with 700 sisters. Never gets old. *Mad Hatter characters at our Mad Hatter Themed Panhellenic Luncheon. *MINNIE on stage at keynote wearing purple and pearls. *Passing awesome new resolutions (which I will not bore you with, but I am a nerd! New policy makes me happy.) *My chapter winning Housing Corp of the Triennium! *Being installed as an NO. Love it. *Getting personalized Mickey Ears in our bags! Every single sister got a pair with her name embroidered. Awesome. We will be in Chicago in 2016! Can't wait! |
AEPi Centennial at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan early August. Cannot wait.
