What Jewelry are you Never Without?
Do you have any jewelry that you never take off? Or do you have any jewelry that you automatically put on every morning?
I keep my wedding ring on 24/7; same with my Mignon Faget tulip necklace. Every morning I put on my engagement ring and usually a small pair of diamond stud earrings and my wristwatch. Don't know why, but I have accessories on the brain today for some reason! |
I always wear this ring that mom gave me. I feel naked if I don't have it on. The only time it comes off is when I'm wearing silver jewelry since it's a gold ring (but I very rarely wear silver).
|
Never take off my Gold TKE lavalier.
When going out, I put on my watch and my diamond ring (I wear on my pinky finger. (gold, with diamonds going around the whole ring) |
I always wear a watch. If I forget it, I feel lost. Six months ago I received a gift of diamond stud earrings. I have worn them almost everyday.
|
I always wear a gold chain necklace with a ring of my gf's. Something of hers that is always near me even when she is not.
|
Never take off college ring.
Automatically put on watch w/AKA shield and earrings for the day. Often wear AKA lavalier. |
I can't function without a necklace. For my birthday this year, my bf got me a solitare with a gold chain. I've taken it off once and that was for his brothers wedding. I also always wear a claddaugh ring.
|
My wedding ring on my left hand.
My watch. A funky sterling ring (heavy like a wedding band) on my right hand. Earrings - usually the gold hoops I bought for myself with the first paycheck from my first job. They are basic and simple and are my 'signature' earrings. In fact, I have a jeweler's drawing of them in case I lose or break them and need to have a replacement made. :-) |
Gotta have my watch. If I don't have my watch on, I can't function!
I'll usually wear my Tahitian Black Pearl necklace, but if I don't wear that, then it's my floating pearl necklace (I got it from my Alum chum). I've collected so many Hawaiian rings and bracelets over the years, but I rarely wear them out. The bracelets are simply too bulky and my fingers tend to get fat every once in a while so I don't bother wearing them too much. I also don't like wearing earrings either! To end the accessories--I usually try to find a flower (either real or fake) to wear behind the ear (I need to get used to wearing it on the right side now). |
I always wear my diamond stud earrings, my watch and whatever necklace fits my mood that day. I feel seriously lost without the earrings and watch and literally only take them off to sleep and shower.
Most of the time I wear a ring or two as well, either my claudaugh, or my diamond, saphire and pearl ring. Sometimes, a silver bracelet as well. I love silver/white gold/platinum. Can't stand yellow gold, just doesn't work with my skin tone. |
I wear the same jewelry everyday. My watch, a bright jade green ring that my mom gave me for my high school graduation, a Tiffany's loving hearts ring and the matching earrings. I'm so accustomed to wearing the same jewelry that I would probably feel lost without it. Once, I lost a ring at a party, and I spent all night looking for it. I was so upset. The following Sunday, my friends at KA gave me letters at their fraternity and my ring. They had found it in the bathroom. I was so happy that day!
|
I never go without my engagement and wedding bands, and my diamond stud earrings. Lately, I've been wearing my silver Tiffany tag bracelet everyday, too. It goes with everything.
Most importantly, I almost never go without my emerald cross, which my favorite uncle gave me for my 16th birthday. It was the last and most precious present I ever recieved from him as he drowned 2 months later. Once, the chain broke and I thought I'd lost the cross. It was devastating...like losing him all over again. Thank God, I found it the next day. |
I used to wear my drop letters everyday, but the chain broke while I was at a dance, and I never found it.
Until my bf and I broke up, I wore the earings he gave me. These days, I wear my tank watch, and small stud earings (pearl or CZ). I love opals and am saving up for this classic opal pendant, and when I own it I will wear it all the time.... sigh... |
I always wear a marquess cut amythest ring (my birthstone) my parents gave me when I turned 16. My roomie and my big just gave me a matching amythest braclet so I'll prob wear that all the time too.
|
I'm never without my wedding ring (okay, unless I'm pregnant), stud earrings, and a chain that my dad gave me a couple of months before he was killed. My mom added a cross to it at that time.
|
Always...pearl or diamond studs (I have like, 4 pair of each...they are all different, but look the same to the "untrained" eye).
My silver claddagh ring...my boy wears his all the time, too. My watch. First thing on in the morning, last thing off in the afternoon. My lavaliere, except I lost it in the chapter house. Oh well, I can get another one. |
My Mignon Faget tulip. I wear it almost every day, unless I'm wearing gold jewelry.
If I'm not wearing that, I'm wearing my Tiffany triple hearts necklace. For our first Christmas, my boyfriend gave me a sterling silver chain. I wore it every day for over a year :) |
The jewelry buff in me can't wear everything I own, so these are the things you won't find me without...
My engagement ring (DUH) My two-toned bracelet-styled Citizen Watch (I LOVE IT) As far as other accessories, I have to wear earrings, necklase and generally another ring on my right hand. I won't wear more than 1 ring on each hand unless it's my thumb ring. Oh and I also have this nice two-toned gold and white gold toe ring I wear all the time. I only take it off when I work out or swim! Hootie |
I always always wear my silver watch, and the sapphire and diamond white gold ring my parents gave me for my 18th bday. I also usually wear the platinum filigree ring that my grandmother gave me when I turned 16 (she'd gotten it as a sweet sixteen present too) and either diamond studs or small pearl earrings. Occasionally I'll wear silver hoops and a sterling silver ring but usually I stick with my basics. I guess I'm just boring like that. ;)

These things never come off
My watch. My arm literally feels naked without it. My watch never comes off except when I shower.
The silver braclet. It was a gift from my favorite aunt when she got married. It looks like a medical alert braclet, but it has my name engraved on the front and my birthday and the year she got married(88) on the back |
I feel completely lost without my watch...I always need to know what time it is..I also always wear a silver james avery ring on my right hand that ex-best friend gave to me, and i usually wear my silver tiffany heart tag bracelet every day
post edited to change left hand to right hand..yes i am 22 years old and still have problems distinguishing the two :) |
I always wear my engagement and wedding rings and my watch (except when I'm asleep, in the shower, or swimming).
I usually wear my class ring too. Got into the habit in college, never got out of it. :) I never leave the house without earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet, but what I pick out to wear varies from day to day. |
I wear a silver with diamond ring on my ring finger every day to symbolize my marriage to Jesus Christ and my relationship with him. It will not come off until it is replaced with an engagement ring.

My fraternity ring.
Was created by James Avery. (Id post the link, but believe it or not in 2001 they still dont have a web site??!?!) Its real popular in the southwest. Texas, OK, NM, LA, AZ, etc. Anyway, I bought the ring in '94. Lost it in 98. bought a new one in 98. When the crappy maintenance guys stole all my jewelry (Watches, etc) I was so thankful that they didnt take my ring. (hells, retail its only worth $38.00. But worth tons more to me). |
oh boy I am such a girl of routine...every day same silver thumb rings...one of a butterfly and one a heart...come on...a silver watch...a gold chain necklace with a diamond heart and diamond stud earrings haven't come off since they were given to me a few years ago...ah jewlery one of my fav gifts to give or get!
|
My watch (I ALWAYS have to know what time it is), my blue topaz ring, and my ZPhiB lavalier.
|
I am surprised no one mentioned religious Jewelry. I wear my Mary necklace everyday. It just helps to keep things into perspective.
My other article is my watch. I always have to know what time it is. |
Hmm jewerly, lets see, I can't function without a watch, my silver guess watch is a must at all times.I need to know what time it is like 50times a day.
Also, my signature necklace with my baby "D" on it and my tiffany bracelet all three things that I must have, and oh definetly, my stud earrings, someone mentioned them previously, and I too , have like 4 or five pairs of diamond studs, like they all look alike, but they aren't l;ike some are circle and some are square, all depends. DGPhoney~ |
what i cannot be without....
i always the same pieces of jewelry every day: diamond earrings my boyfriend got me for college graduation; a silver/diamond promise ring he gave me; my silver timex watch; and a silver necklace i bought myself... oh yeah and my tiny silver stud nose ring.;)
|
I always wear my Timex Ironman Triathlon watch, you know, the one with the velcro band.
My engagement ring on my left hand. My silver and blue topaz James Avery ring on my right hand or my JA two toned ring with the heart garnet...my biological sister and I both have that ring, so it is special to me. My gold James Avery cross. It is a cross made made of branching roses...so pretty. I usually have it inside my shirt. I have really sensitive ears, so I rarely wear earrings. They have to be pure gold, silver or plat or they will make my ears infected...even those pure metals irritate me a little. |
The one thing I am never without is my watch. It's a two tone Citizen with my sorority insignia on the face. My parents bought it for me last Christmas.:)
|
There are 3 pieces of jewlery i am NEVER without. My necklace with my sorority letters on a paddle stays on 24/7. Every morning when i get up i put on my promise ring and my watch. For someone who has such a problem with running on time I am obsessive compulsive about having my watch on. Without my watch I just can't function! Is anyone else like this?
|
I can honestly say that I am never without my AGD lavalier and my hoop earrings
|
I always wear my wedding band and engagement ring, although I do take them off if I'm putting on lotion or sticky hair stuff. I also always wear an old fashioned, small, white gold and diamond ring on my right hand, middle finger. It was my grandmother's, and it is actually stuck on my finger so I never remove it.
I wear three earrings in my left ear and two in my right, and the only ones I take out are the bottom ones because I don't wear the same ones every day. I also always wear a watch, except when I'm at home. Usually, I wear a silver Mignon Faget pylon barbed band ring on my right thumb. I like it because it's unique, and sort of tough looking. I almost always wear my Tiffany heart tag bracelet, which has my cats' initials instead of mine. :) Finally, I usually wear a necklace or a scarf, but that changes every day. I absolutely LOVE jewelry and I have a lot of different things, but it's funny that I wear the same stuff almost every day. |
Did all of these people start buying Mignon Faget pieces after the whole MF thread or before? Just wondering, because it seems like a lot of Greekchatters are fans now.
|
I first heard of Mignon Faget on that "every sorority girl's necessities" thread here on greekchat. I checked it out then and was hooked and had to buy a couple things. I still haven't seen anyone else wearing her stuff around here.
