Our house is @130 yrs. old and we need a new one! I laid oud off for a period of time except sporadic visits. I attended a Founders Day 3 years ago and got so upset with the 2 keynote speakers that I walked out of the banquet. I then and there made up my mind to get back in with both feet! Having decided that, I started a Core Group and began calling Brother Alums telling of the situation and my idea. Well in the mean time we worked to save the charter, an Alum group In KC area and trying to spread out to other areas, a mentoring group to work with the chapter, reinstating the Alum Golf outing, and other social functions to get Brothers at. NOW we are back to square one and are working on design and finance plan for a new house! By doing all of this, we have generated enthusiasm of the Alums and the Chapter. The las Founders Day We had more Alums there than ever before!! We have a hook to get things back on track! Hopefully in 1 1 1/2 years to get built!! I know it takes a lot of work and I am still trying to find Alums! 2 last night!!!! Now have @ 175 E-M address in book! ------------------ Tom Earp LX Z#1 Pittsburg State U. (Kansas) |

Good luck with your house. We have been trying to get a new house for about 10 years. Our alumni keep saying they want more from us. I don't understand we have won two grand high alpha's in the last 5 years, what else do they want? It is just going in circles. We will get a new house when the people that are here now are alumni. |

Is the Web God ( anyway ) to me the same one that set up the LXA graphics site? This is also awesome!!!! I have passed that on to other Zetas so it may be of help in working up their sites. Our Alum., Core, Mentoring, and what else you want to call us are putting a web site together and thaat site is of Great Help! Just wanted to tell you that I met a LXA who is a wonderful representative for your fraternity. As a marketing major at the University of Alabama, he did an internship at my company last summer and I believe he may be returning this summer as well. I hope so anyway! DZ thank you for the kind words about one of My own! While many of my immediate Brothers think of me as that "OLD FART" well I do not know what else to say. I am still My Brothers Keeper.
A shortened verson is "Walk With Me And Be My Brother"! I cannot say which Brother said it but I guess that sums it up pretty well! We have a tuff Greek Campus, but little do they know if not for the Greeks, there would be not much in Homecoming or other things that the Independents Love to come and see! Gotta agree...it's really great to see many LXAs on this board. Everytime I look, there's a brother!
Being so far away with such a weak Greek system (in comparison to those on the big rock), I often get jealous at the campuses that have many national Greeks. I don't look down on our locals http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif (extreme sarcasm there), but it'd be so great if more NPC/IFC groups could colonize on our campus. Found out the Badge on e-bay from rose - Hulman, I was bidding against a Brother there. Found that out and dropped like a hot magna rock!! Just for you OTW!!! On another thread, e-bay was the topic, but also goes in here. I was bidding on a Badge from Rose-Hulman. I found out the one I was bidding against is a Brother from R-H. Need less to say I dropped out and feel bad that I bid up now knowing that our badge will be in the Right Hands!! I worked to hard to gain My Badge and know where my Badge is going as wellas all of my immediate LX Z Brothers as I have told them enuff! Keep th eyes open for these things!
