Fave TV commercials...
 

I got two, just popped into my head...

First is the Audi (I think) where the guy parks the car in the lot...then tackles the shopping cart headed for his car and follows with a pathetic "I'm ok"

Second, this was a few years back, was the little scene where there are two kids and " Boy: Dorothy? Will you marry me? ' Girl: Where's my ring? Boy : Whips out a lifesaver. Girl "A lifesaver?" Boy: It's a beginning, don't worry, we'll live with my mother."

I thought that was cute as F*$k!:)

My favorites ones are:
The M&M's commercials: The one where their at the Pool side and a Chocolate bar walks up to the girl on the pool side and the chocolate bar has the voice of Phil Hartman and he says hey baby the names chocolate bar, but you can call me choco- la- lateee. The he melts cause of the sun and the N&M's come walking around standing on the chocolate puddle and go ewww, can we get a mop here.

My next favorite one is for I think Volkswagen and anyway the guy gets out of the car to go to the super market and then u see a shopping cart coming towards the car, and the guiy spins back around takling the shopping cart so it doesnt hit the car , but he's sprawled out on the ground and he goes, " I'm ok", lol

I love that one!!

the m&m's commercial, where yellow, blue & red are all sittin around eating the bags of m&m's, and Putty from seinfeld comes in and says that its sick,you don't eat your own kind..so they all switch :)

also, the levi's commercial with the singing bellybuttons..i love it b/c its jamie lynn sigler(meadow soprano) singing, and i love sopranos :)

that commercial freaks me out. it's just too weird looking, those bellybuttons singing along.

But the jeans are cool. :D

This one always makes me laugh..

It's for A&W Rootbeer, and this guy is getting interviewed for a new job by a guy named Mr. Dumass. The guy keeps saying, "Mr. Dumbass, I will be an assett to this company, because, Mr. Dumbass..." and the boss cuts him off and says, "It's 'Doo-moss." and the guys' eyes pop wide open. The next cut is the boss guy shaking his head and saying, "What a dumbass!" I've only seen that one on MTV.
My other favorite is for Finish Line I think, where the guy is jogging and the Finish Line worker comes running up next to him with a boombox playing that song from Rocky, and the jogger pushes the guy and he falls flat on his face. I laugh so hard at that one, every time!:D

My favorite commercial is the one for the DVD player and DVD combo.

It's a pregnant woman whose husband is in the bathtub with a broken leg. He screams from the tub "What do you want to do tonight?" and she screams "I was a DANCE, and get a pizza and a DVD."

Under his breath he says "We don't have a DVD."

Then you see the pregnant woman bring in the DVD player and as the guy hobbles on crutches he says, "Nice honney."

Then you see them on the couch eating icecream watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Call me weird but that commercial makes me SMILE everytime I see it. They are so happily married (which I love to see) and I think it's brilliant on so many levels.

Even a pregnant woman can carry and put together this DVD system. (It's that easy) and the woman makes a financial decision without the consent of her husband (thank God for that!) and i just love that they seem to be so happily married. That is my favorite part.

I'm in advertising -- can you tell!

I like the Geico commercial where the squirrel runs across the street and causes a accident, then two squirrel high five each other after the accident.

I also like the Mr. Yoshida commercial when he is sitting on top of the veggies dancing around with a big smile ,then the grocery store worker squirts him with water.

Doesn't anybody love those Aflac commercials? I swear, that duck cracks me up every time!

But yes....do love that Geico commercial. Smart little squirrels. ;)

I love that new one with the skaters and the hockey puck.

I love the new Truth commercial, the one that is a musical about looking at the happy side of tobacco companies..."Let's just focus on the positive; they aren't marketing to kids, they're reaching out to America's youth!" I've done some anti-smoking stuff, and I think their commercials get the message across really well.:D

I like the Volkswagon one where the guy is driving to the church to stop the girl from marrying someone else and he runs in JUST as the priest says "Forever hold your peace" and the line is "fasten your seatbelts". That one gives me goosebumps

I am also a sap and I love all the Hallmark one and the Kodak ones. I swear, they put them on every morning just as I put on my mascara and its running down my face in about 2 seconds!

The all time, absolute best commercial ever, in the history of commercials, is the one for EDS that played during the Super Bowl, where guys are herding cats. I have never seen such an amazing commercial.

"They don't like peanuts". and then the animal goes and makes a planters guy out of leaves or something silly.

there is a commercial that is advertsing some type of celluelar phone-can't remember which one, anyways

the guy is down on the street outside his girfreinds apartment and there are 2 girls standing next to him.

He yells up to her window saying"the doctor said it wasn't contagious"

and the 2 girls look at each other, one is on the cell phone (I think she is talking to the girlfriend in the building) and she says"OHHHHHHHH GIRRRRRRRL"

the lesson is to have a cell phone for those private moments/conversations

I crack up every time I see that commercial and OHHHH GIRRRRRL is a common expression now among my group of friends

I really like the GAP commercial going right now where the people sing "Give a little bit of your love to me"...just really neat. Great song too!

My fave is the M&Ms commercial when the parents are in the boy's room and they find posters of the Green M&M....and it's like they found porn or something...the American Beauty music plays in the background too. I love it!

Ok, it's dorky, but I really like the Old Navy commericals at Christmas. They annoy the hell outta me, but I can't help but hum the jingle..."old navy item of the week, item of the week, a new item every week..." (hahah...join in everyone!)

Any of the Budwieser commercials with the Ferret!! Those just crack me up!

It's a Staples commercial with a robot. A customer is asking the robot about a scanner for a relative, the robot says he can't have the scanner to get him a cell phone (or some other device). The customer asks why not, robot says b/c I love her! The robot says "weeping, weeping" until they show it a power strip which the robot finds exciting!

One of my faves was on the air a couple of years back - it was an for Kokanee: their trademark Sashquatch crashes a wedding reception and goes for the bride - the groom freaks out and runs from the big foot - it was quite funny.

There's also this add for salmon (can't remember what it's called- but it's pretty famous) - were a guy and a bear are both going after the same fish and they get into a fight - it is so hilarious.

Ok so now for my fave ad that is currently airing: there 2 Molson Canadian ads right now: first one - there is a guy having a party at his house in the USA and he goes to the fridge to get more beer [Canadian] and sees that he is out - so he leaves the party and starts walking to the Canadian boarder (The Proclaimers 500 Miles is playing in the background); you see this guy walking across Canada - he gets his beer and brings it back to the American side; as soon as he crosses the boarder though he drops his 2-4 and all the bottles break so goes back into Canada to get another 2-4...

Ok the second one - there is a bus waiting to cross the boarder into the US - and the customs officer asks the bus driver if there is anything to declare and the driver replies just some Team Canada (hockey) tshirts and the customs dude pokes is head into the bus and all the Canadians start going crazy- - I assume they are suppossed to be heading to Salt Lake. Anyways it was advertising that all boxes of Molsen include a team canada tee :)

That commercial is awesome!! But my all time favorite is the Bud Light one where the guy and his girlfriend are in the jewlery store looking at rings, and the salesperson is like, This one is 1/4 carat and this one is 1/2 carat. The guy looks out the window and sees a hot chick w/ a Bud Light waving to him, so he runs out the door-turns out they're filming a commercial and he just interrupted it. The next scene shows the same couple in the store, but this time the jewler is like, OK this is 8 carats and this is 10 carats....

I just saw this one tonight for the first time since last Christmas. It's a Staples commercial. It's the one where they have a robot as a sales associate. This guy is trying to by a fax machine for his brother. The robot is like, "No you can't have that." They fight back and forth for a while until the robot says, "You can't have her! I love her!" The people sales associates drag the robot away and then hold a circuit breaker up and say, "We found you another one." The robot purrs. It's so cheesy but I crack up every time I see it.

I love this one too! :D

that's a VW Jetta commercial. I love that one too!

And the other Jetta one with the guy who is on his way yto stop the wedding a la "The Graduate" Love that one too!

Helps that the guy in that looks like the guy I am in love with AND that I drive that very model of Jetta-- the GLX.

Ohhhh, I LOVE that one with the guy trying to stop the wedding!! I was showing it to my Hunny, and he was like, nothing like that better happen at ours!!! Guys just don't get it :rolleyes:

Okay, I got another one!! Has anyone seen the cell phone one(I think its Cingular but I am not sure) where he asked for the Santa Claus costume and he gets PANDA CLAUS!!!! As an AOTT, I was loving it. I want PANDA CLAUS for my Christmas!

Its bad, but i'll bleep out the naughty words. There is a commerical that runs in Europe, Mostly in the United Netherlands, and Northeastern Germany. It shows a family getting in a car, real cheesy like, all smiles. The dad turns on the radio and this little diddy comes on that goes "I want to f*** you in the @$$ I want to f*** in the @$$ I want to bend you over and f*** you in the @$$" and its all happy like teeny pop and they are bouncing there heads to it, and then the name of the company pops up, and says "do you need to learn how to speak english?" and its for language learning tapes. I almost died laughing when I saw that.

aHAHAHA!!! ROFLMAO!! This is the prizewinner.

The setting is like a castle and the chef is running up an enormous
flight of stairs. He reaches the top and below him is a formal dining table with 50 or so people. Out of breath he yells "DON'T EAT THE SALMON", the guests look at their empty plates, only fish bones remaining, and get a really sick look. Announcer says-"Is your market news a little slow?" ...or something close to that.

One year on an awards show for commercials, they had three little Japanese boys in a tub. The oldest stepped out and dried off and was followed by the second child. The littlest one was still in the tub and you saw three little air bubbles-ping ping ping and then he jumped out.

which reminds me I have an assigment for my Industral Marketing class-- I have to rate all the commercials played during the Super Bowl. Every 30 second spot costs each company 1.9 million dollars!

I saw a sneek preview of some of the superbowl commercials on FOX news and they look good! Pepsi reliving old commercials, 7-UP pinups...Levi's allowing you to vote for the commercial you want to see during the super bowl!!!!
I can't wait! I just hope there aren't a lot of those stupid dot com commercials. Those weren't all that funny!

What about the cell phone one with text messaging. It's a shot of a guy, then a shot of a girl, both text messaging each other. The phone displays "our spot 8pm" and then they get there and speak sign language to one another. How sweet!

There is a Target commercial out right now about a girl parallel parking her car and hits a car in the process. She opens her trunk, where she has hundreds of nail polishes in every color. She chooses the right color and then goes and "polishes" the scratches on the car she hit as a policewoman watches. It is soooo funny!!!!!!!
