Serial rapist may be targeting alumni members of Delta Sigma Theta sorority in Plano, Denton County

A serial rapist may be behind at least four attacks in Plano and Denton County on local alumni members of the predominantly black Delta Sigma Theta sorority, according to local organization members.
An email alert sent to Dallas alumnae chapter members this morning said the attacks have occurred over the past 11 months, including one Friday night. Plano police did not confirm which sorority members were being targeted, but they said in a news release that the victims are all black women in their mid-50s to mid-60s and that they were attacked in their Plano, Coppell and Corinth homes between the hours of 9 p.m. and 4 a.m.
Two of the area alumni chapters have been asked to release rosters to local police, according to the alumni email alert.

Serial Rapist Targets Sorority Alums, Police Say
PLANO, Texas - Police in at least three different North Texas cities are looking for a man who has sexually assaulted several members of the same sorority alumnae group in the last year.

All of the attacks have happened in the victims' homes in Plano, Coppell, and Corinth, according to a news release from Plano police public information officer David Tilley.

Delta Sigma Theta members in Dallas are being warned not to post personal information on Facebook after a series of rapes of sorority alumnae by a man who may have checked them out on the Internet.

^^^ My Sorors are being warned not to post personal information including whereabouts on the Internet (they shouldn't post that anyway but sometimes it takes these reminders to make people smarter), remove Delta identifiers from vehicles, clothing, and other places. Even something such as having alumnae chapter meetings (since they are not at secret locations) and wearing crimson/red at church could be identifiers.

The Texas Sorority Rapist's Bizarre Obsession
A Texas serial rapist who is attacking older members of one of the nation's most prominent sororities appears to have bizarre and dangerous compulsions, a forensic psychologist told ABCNews.com.

The rapist has assaulted four women in the Dallas area, all in their mid-50s to mid-60s who are alums of the largest Greek-lettered black sorority in the world, Delta Sigma Theta.

"Most often the target population is going to be a younger group of women," said Naftali Berrill, director of the New York Center for Neuropsychology and Forensic Behavioral Science.

He described the case as "weird and unusual."
