Also Mary Janes, those were pretty gross. I just Googled them, and it turns out they're made by the same company that makes Necco Wafers. Figures!

I don't eat anything with gelatin in it, but that's out of principle, not taste. That eliminates anything with gummies or marshmallows, Starbursts, and some taffies.

My personal yuck list:
Candy corn
Smarties
Most peanut-butter-containing candies (I always trade away my Reese's but I love Butterfingers)
Twizzlers
Anything licorice
Plain milk chocolate
Candy buttons (though I did dress as it for Halloween one year)
Jawbreakers
Mary Janes

Good and Plenty, Necco Wafers, Raisinettes, Mary Janes

OMG, ya'll are naming my favorite candies! I still eat Good n Plenties, I heart Raisinettes and Bit o Honey (both remind me of my childhood), and I'm pretty sure I would let myself go into a diabetic coma from Candy Corn.

I have no idea what Snaps or Mary Janes are, but I will concur with Necco Wafers. It never fails that some old lady gives these out, and I'm pretty sure they're about 20 years old.

I seriously think Smarties was an accident from trying to make Alka-Seltzer. It's just as nasty.

I loooooooove candy corn so much. But whoever decided to make the chocolate tipped ones was just sick.

Circus Peanuts. Of course it doesn't hurt that I'm allergic to bananas, so anything banana is out... and gross!

Yes! I was thinking about these, but I didn't know what they were called. When you said this, I thought "is that what I'm thinking of..." I searched on Google Images, and sure enough, that's them! They're horrible. They don't even look like candy.

I do not like nuts. I'm not allergic, I just don't like them. So all candy with nuts is on my hate list. When I was little, my parents gave out Mounds (but not Almond Joy) for Halloween, because they knew I'd take some of the leftover Mounds chocolates off their hands.

Candy corn is also on my hate list. I can't explain why - I just don't like 'em.

This is hella disgusting and reminds me of the "Blair Witch Project" where one of the guys disappears and all that they find of him are some bloodied teeth. GROSS!!!

Circus Peanuts are right up there with those 2" marshmellow type eggs for Easter. I shudder just thinking of them!

No, you're not alone. I love Necco wafers -- probably my favorite candy. They are awesome, whatever the haters say.

WORD on the Circus Peanuts! There's other candy I don't like -- many that are named in this thread -- but they don't gross me out. I can't even stand to be in the room when someone else is eating Circus Peanuts.

Twizzlers- I'll eat them but like red vines so much better

Agree on the Circus Peanuts, but if you're talking about the good (as in Russell Stouffer or another "name brand) chocolate cover marshmallow eggs, I love those! Love Neccos, too, when I'm in the mood - or happen to see them. They're almost never around.

No, these aren't chocolate anything. They're either purple, orange or another color. The marshmallow is kind of hard. They're a bulk candy type item.

I swear, maybe it's my age, but every year the "waxy/plasticy" type "candies" such as these look more and more like something you just don't want to ingest. It's like the Dollar General plasticy version with some sugar thrown in. :eek:

I HATE Circus Peanuts, anything Gummy or Fruit-flavored chewiness (except for a few flavors of Jelly Bellies!), dark chocolate, anything with Peanuts/Peanut butter, black licorice, Mary Jane/Bit O' Honey/Sugar Daddies (any of those old lady candies that kill your teeth).

I LOVE Milky Way (#1), 100 Grand, Twix, Milk Duds (my teeth don't like them, though!), Caramel Bullies (can't find the original anymore). I do like Candy Corn and Smarties, but I have to be in the mood for them.

I like Neccos and it's probably more nostalgic than for any other reason. My uncle used to buy them for me when I was little. We would walk down to a little store for them.

A handful of popcorn is kind of weird. But I also lived between the family of dentists who would give us toothbrushes, and the assumed-to-be drug dealers who would take Polaroid pictures of us with a Halloween border for us to take home.

You've actually SEEN someone eating Circus Peanuts?! I'm not sure I've ever witnessed such a thing.


I actually just looked up Necco Wafers, and I don't think they're nearly as awful as some of the other kinds of candy mentioned here. I would GLADLY eat those over Candy Corn or Circus Peanuts.. or whatever the hell those edible fangs are called...

I eat circus peanuts and think they are awesome, for the record :)
